Welcome to the Stellar Teacher Podcast! We believe teaching literacy is a skill. It takes a lot of time, practice, and effort to be good at it. This podcast will show you how to level up your literacy instruction and make a massive impact with your students, all while having a little fun!

Your host, Sara Marye, is a literacy specialist passionate about helping elementary teachers around the world pass on their love of reading to their students. She has over a decade of experience working as a classroom teacher and school administrator. Sara has made it her mission to create high quality no-fluff resources and lesson ideas that are both meaningful and engaging for young readers.

A necessary resource!

Each episode is packed with evidence based information, tips, tricks, and resources! Information is efficiently delivered. I’m addicted to this podcast! Website has lots of super reasonably priced resources and lots of freebies! As a lower elementary teacher turned administrator, now back in the classroom teaching third grade, this could not be a more helpful resource that even makes me more excited to teach, which says a lot, because I absolutely love my job! ☺️❤️ Thank you, Sara & team!

Awesome Literacy Tips

I have been listening since Oct of 2021. I needed some ways to keep my gifted fifth graders more engaged. Sara gives great tips that are aligned with my literacy beliefs. I love listening every Monday and have even scrolled through lots of past episodes to get ideas on the literacy standard I was teaching. She keeps me and my students motivated.

So practical!

I teach 4th grade Language Arts and Social Studies. This podcast gives me concrete ideas that I can implement today. Sarah is so positive and encouraging. Every teacher does the best they can with the knowledge they have. Unfortunately, this podcasts promotes literacy strategies that have been debunked by science and makes it so 60%+ of kids won’t become proficient readers. Please listen to Emily Hanford’s APM podcast “At a Loss for Words.” When we know better, we do better.
