I have always been the biggest fan of Iliza, including watching her prior specials multiple times. I have always wished there were more, and then I stumbled on this pod! How exciting to find this trove of years of Iliza hilarity.

AIA was one of the first podcasts I listened to because I’ve been following Iliza from the beginning - LCS (Last Comic Standing). I was thrilled she got her first special, then was even more thrilled that she got special after special. It’s a testament to her hard work and hustle ethic. Now married with two kids, Iliza still dishes out frank and honest advice while Emily is the best co-host to keep her going. You will gain some wisdom and knowledge from this podcast while laughing you’re behind off!

Iliza and Emily give great advice and I love their relationship and energy. I’ve learned so much about how to be a person from this podcast. The pod is funny, heartwarming, and fair. The live shows have lifted it to new levels. Iliza, already very energetic, is sparkling in front of a live audience. Please keep this up! I play through full commercials even on replay, this is how much I love you both.

I used to look forward to listening to this every Wednesday, and I had considered myself a real fan — have seen all of the specials, have gone to see her live, bought the books, etc. I agree with another recent review that said that this podcast has adopted an angry tone. On top of that, the recent live episodes do not work for me. The audience back-and-forth is annoying; the fact that Emily is not also physically in front of the audience gives the show a stilted feeling; and those episodes especially feel less real and more performative. Don’t get me started on the call-in animal songs.

I just sang the affection before good song to my Bernese Mountain Dog and after getting some affection he started eating his food. I love animal songs!

OMG, thank you! This was one of the best episodes of any podcast ever. Iliza and Kate play so well off of each other. Good, thoughtful advice for folks who wrote in w questions, hilarious exchanges bw I & K, and I actually learned a buncha stuff from these “walking Wikipedia pages.” I’d totally buy tix to a Bowler/Shlesinger live, national, “Ask Us Anything: An Evening of Laughter and Good Advice!” tour. I’ve followed the KB pod for years, and I now follow IS as well. Gonna listen to this one again right now!

I used to love this podcast so much, but Iliza seems angrier and angrier each time I listen. While the occasional rant was often entertaining, the overall tone of the podcast has become increasingly negative. I find myself laughing less and being irked more frequently. This is a troubling time to be alive (with everything that’s going on in the world) and it was nice to have this as a fun, safe space. All that being said, the advice aspect is still top notch! Iliza’s commentary on how to deal with real life is compassionate, thoughtful, and so empowering. I often think back to her words when dealing with my own personal issues. I just wish she wasn’t so mad about everything these days.

Iliza offers her insightful and authentic advice to questions we have with a side of her iconic comedic flair. I listen to this when I’m driving, when I’m cleaning the house, on my lunch break, and the rare instances where I have down time at home. When you can’t get enough of her Netflix specials, her movies/shows, or her two books, this offers a fun way to get your Iliza fix in a personal way. Fun side note, my 18 month old LOVES to dance to the opening song.

I just happened upon this podcast while driving (calm down, it was airing on Sirius XM) — and it’s hilarious and entertaining and everything I wanted in that moment and for the future. So smart and fun. Thank you for sharing your insight and wit with us!

I’ve listened for YEARS and I’ve been able to dismiss her entitlement and attitude before now but she is so out of touch and elitist now. She comments saying “you make $80,000 a year” as if it’s nothing. Thats double what some people have to live on and it’s so outrageously out of touch.

Love this podcast so much! Iliza sheds great light on many things emotional, silly, goofy diuretic, etc. I was a fan who enjoyed the sketch so show, me and my husband, both, loved the sketch show; so stop saying that, because some people do love the sketch show. myself included. Iliza is brilliant and I would do anything for her.

This podcast is for sure a top of the cob, Iliza is one of my favorite comedians and this podcast gets me through the day as a housekeeper!

I’ve been listening to this show a few years now. It is consistently funny…how? I have no idea because I’m not a comedy genius. Iliza and Emily are a great combination and strike just the right balance for an “advice” show that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It is also always out on time with fantastic sound quality. Highly recommend!

I look forward to the pod every week. But Iliza, please, stop eating while you’re talking!!! Seriously. I had to turn todays off. Mid sentence and you’re taking bites of food. I can’t even. Can’t you plan your day so you don’t have to eat during your podcast at all, let alone mid sentence?!

I listen to this podcast religiously and am so grateful it exists! It’s gotten me through many a tough day and regularly makes me laugh out loud. I would give it 10 stars if I could - cannot recommend this show enough.

I DEVOUR this podcast every week. First off, Iliza is hilarious, smart and can hustle. If you haven’t seen her stand up stop reading and go watch. Emily brings balance and a bit of weirdness to the pod. I love them both and talk to my car radio like we are all friends. Not weird at all.

Seriously! My work weeks would be so sad without you! Love the banter between you both. Love ilizas humor. You could probably talk about anything and id still listen for the banter and the jokes. Consistently laughing out loud in the workplace with NO SHAME.

This used to be my favorite podcast and Iliza used to be my favorite comedian. After the events that occurred in October, she started using her platform to say ignorant and miseducated things about Arabs. Being Arab, it was a downer to hear these things during a time that I was using as a humors respite. Really really disappointed.

Light, funny, entertaining even with complex topics. Wednesdays never come soon enough!

I’ve loved this podcast since it first came out bc I’m a fan of Iliza and have loved it the whole time!! but I’ve also listened to other podcasts from other comedians/celebrities I like and they aren’t that good and I stopped listening, but I look forward to this every week. If you love listening to other peoples crazy drama or even just need some solid thoughtful advice from an insanely smart and hilarious comedian this is for you!! Also Emily does a great job producing and I love their dynamic. I hate Apple Podcasts and listen on Spotify but wanted to come here and let the people know they need to listen!!

While the primary goal is fun, AIA is not just all cutting up and jokes. Emily is the perfect buffer for outspoken, opinionated Iliza, the end result being an entertaining show that actually does dispense some sound advice, and addresses relevant social issues without getting too political. Early episodes had special guests (entertainers, doctors, scientists) that were always informative and thought provoking, but unfortunately its been a long time since there were guests (with the exception of Iliza’s parents, who are great). Fans of felines will quickly become fans of Emily.

I feel really sad because I used to love Iliza and her comedy, but as she’s become more successful she also seems to be getting more negative, out of touch, and can come across as really entitled. I try not to judge her support of IS because she is Jewish and I do not have that background, but it’s getting increasingly hard to ignore her lack of empathy for both sides. It makes me so sad that the podcast has become so rant-y and negative, because I’ve been a fan for years and years. I’m putting it on pause for now, and will miss them both. I hope Emily can influence Iliza a little.

Iliza is such a level headed advice columnist, with just the right amount of silly humor to offset some of the heavier questions. She respects her fans and gives it to them straight. It’s the top of the cob!

The podcast has officially just become a space for iliza to speak down to anyone and everyone including her most recent rant about how awful it was of an airline tarmac employee to tell her to put her dog away without saying *please. This apparently was an awful enough offense against her as a “first class customer” that she tells us “that’s why he’s outside, like a dog”. Girl, go touch grass, please come down to earth. She’s giving Tom seguras rant on being better than the poors vibe.

Genuinely used to look forward to Wednesday’s then slowly as time past began to really see Iliza for who she truly is. How do you support blm, and lgbtqia+ community but fall short of supporting basic human rights. There is a ethnic cleansing happening right before our eyes, religion aside how could you sit back and think that way? No issue for me, I’ll gladly stop listening because I can go somewhere else and find true comedy. Later cringey millennial.

I have been listening to this podcast for YEARS. I love Iliza and her perspective. Her opinion, her vernacular, her interjections….I not only find them hilarious but also I find myself thinking “she stole the words right out of my mouth”. We have a slight age difference, but I’m convinced we are cut from the same black cloth. For example: Mustard is the only condiment worth using. Eating while recording the podcast is not annoying. Making animal impersonations in your stand up are comedic gold…and wildly accurate. Yes, it’s normal to make out with your dog. Keep kicking it Iliza!
