    Excellent
David has a gift of connecting with people in terrible situations, glad he is able find a way to share it in these podcasts.

    What happened to sweet Nadia?!?
I got so into this and then it just stopped. Did the podcaster go missing too? Will there a podcast about the missing podcaster who podcasted about the missing? I just discovered there are more seasons. Will definitely be giving them a listen! But my heart is with Nadia and her family

    Awesome
I love all of Davids work. I’m still only on season 2, and i’ll probably leave another review… but i just feel very strongly that i need to express that it concerns me that Terries children are so mean to their grandmother and don’t want to talk about anything. it’s so weird to me and i wonder what the dads family have implanted in their heads

    David Ridgen does it again!
Great podcast by DR. Just wish there were more episodes.

I’ve been a fan of this and SKS for a while! David is brave and persistent and there is something about his voice that just makes you want to listen. It’s a very becoming and soothing voice that carries the empathy that shows in his character. He is my podcast hero! I wanna be like David! And also, the protection is amazing! If you haven’t listened, give yourself a favor and do so! Thank you David! For all you and your team does! Keep it up!

    Love this
David literally has the most soothing, dare I say, sexy voice. He’s so easy to listen to and does an amazing job interviewing and researching. I’m not in Canada but I’ve recommended this show to everyone I know!

    Must listen
David Ridgen always reports with such incredible empathy, understanding, patience, and care. There really isn’t anyone else like him in the podcast world. You can hear and feel how thoughtfully he investigates each case. We need more sensitivity in the true crime podcast world and to remember that these are real people and real lives lost and effected. You never forget that when you listen to a David Ridgen case. Thanks for all that you do David!

    Forever Fan
David Ridgen could read the phone book for each weekly episode and I would still listen. With that being said, his wit, compassion for victims, and storytelling abilities makes it that much better!

    First impressions
Ethier, episode 4. Denis was using who’s little blue car? Didn’t anyone pick up on that?! It’s rough to base a podcast on telephone recordings. If the interview isn’t disciplined things can meander to the edge of snoring. Also, listeners are at the mercy of audio quality. I’m at Ep 1, will see how it goes. Update, the audio experience is BAD for listening to parts recorded from telephone conversations. Ugh. Add to it poor English, thick accents, and it becomes a LOT of rewinding work to catch things. The need to constantly adjust volume between LOUD ads, tinny telephone parts, and the Host’s volume is exhausting. Three stars because the Advertisements are also WAY HYPED and obnoxious. I don’t mind ads, but having amped-up blabbering every five minutes when you’re relaxing at night… meh. Not sure I’ll be able to stick around. What I DO like about DR is his wonderful ability to stick his nose where people don’t want him and poke the bear when it’s vital to getting to the truth. And he does it with absolute finesse. No bones about it. It’s great. Brave.

He is my absolute favorite podcaster!

    Love David Rigden
David Rigden could read a calculus book and I’d listen to his voice. But more importantly, he cares about people. He shows empathy and compassion like no other host I’ve listened to. He dives in 100% into any story he does. Thus, he’s not tossing out a weekly story. He takes time to investigate and while my greedy self would love to hear him more, I appreciate the time he puts into the people and families.

    Quality podcasting and story telling
I’ve been a fan of David Ridgen since discovering Someone Knows Something. He has such respect and sympathy for the stories, the victims, and their families. You can tell he does these podcasts to truly help and not just chasing podcast fame. When The Next Call came out, I hesitated only because my biggest peeve on a podcast is when they interview someone over the phone. With other podcasts, the quality of recording phone calls is always horrific and I can barely understand them. That is NOT the case with The Next Call. I’m only a few episodes in but blown away with the high quality in which David records the calls. 10/10 podcasting. Excited for more from David Ridgen

David Ridgen is an absolute gem.
His voice. His mannerisms. The way he describes every dog he meets. His dedication to the families he helps. His calmness & steadfastness in the face of uncomfortable moments & rude individuals. The way he organizes each episode & season. Every podcast David Ridgen makes that I’ve heard has been binge-worthy, listener-friendly, easy to understand & listen to, & most of all, enlightening. He is shining light on things that have remained in the dark, & his work is incredibly important.

    Never disappointed
I’ve listened to every episode that David Rigen has released in all the years of his podcasting. This one seems especially difficult to listen to and I appreciate the care he does to shelter the children of a woman lost too soon. I feel so angry listening to the show, but I can’t imagine the despair that comes from the idea of losing both your parents. Job well done!
  • pickford76
    Great podcast
I enjoy many of the CBC podcasts, and Ada I’d had continued to provide great content in this one. One can hope the families and friends of the victims have found some closure with these.

    What an upsetting case..
May justice find it's voice, the way David Ridgen helps us find our own.

    Season 2
I love this podcast. But I’m just on the first episode of season 2 and am already wondering why she was cremated 10 minutes after the family viewing her body when it was clear someone killed her?
  • neoexcello
    David makes it
David Ridgin could read voter registration rolls and make it fascinating. Good research. Good approach. Good personality. Good voice. His podcasts are irresistible. I’ve listened to the Ravens maybe five times

    Thank you for your persistence
I am so amazed at all of the leads you found on this disappearance after nearly 25 years! Your wise use (such as the text to Dennis’ brother to which only a “yes” or “no” was requested) of questions with all of the participants was greatly noted. Thanks for a good podcast.

One of My Most FAVORITE PODCASTERS
David Ridgen is one of the best podcasters available to the lucky folks who appreciate an excellent, well told story. I was so excited to hear about this newer podcast and to listen to this sad story. Thank you, Mr. Ridgen et al!!

    The Next Excellent Podcast
This is just the best podcast out there. I have searched and searched and nothing else even comes close! This podcast is another investigative work that is well planned, to the point with the empathy and integrity that David Ridgen is known for. Keep them coming!

    EXCELLENT
I am so glad to find another podcast from Mr. Ridgen. I loved his previous podcast, and I was so disappointed when that podcast seemingly came to an end. Looking forward to this new podcast. I really like how Mr. Ridgen works!

I’m so glad SKS out this is my feed
SKS and now this are my favorite podcasts. I actually didn’t like David the first time I listened to SKS. I’m clearly dumb, because he is the most thorough, compassionate, committed and balanced investigative reporter out there. There isn’t an ounce of self promotion or narrative steering. Excellent. All of the CBC stuff is well done.
  • SKSabovetherest

    Great interviews!
You did great work on this old cold case… it’s plain to see a lot was left undone as unsaid in finding justice for Melanie - until now. Thank you… for sharing your research with us. Looking forward to more.

    Smart, compelling
This is smart, thoughtful, compelling investigative journalism. Reported with empathy; none of the titillating or glamorizing stuff that can happen in true crime.
