    Cohesive and Incredibly Helpful
I am a 15 year old who wants to go into Montessori as a career, and in a lack of books while trying to research the method, I found this podcast and it has been incredible. It touches on so many helpful topics like Montessori math and elementary, and I am so grateful and would recommend it in a heartbeat.

    Incredibly helpful and intelligent
I am just starting as an assistant at a Montessori School...at age 70...with the energy and conviction of a 10 year old. Montessori is a natural fit for my temperament and my world view. I'll be working with 7th/8th middle school students. Eager to learn everything by reading, listening, observing. Will easily discard all the bad teaching instruction I never agreed with and never wanted to master. I'm the person in the Milgram experiment who would have walked out after the first shock. Wish I'd found Montessori decades ago -- but on the other hand, age is an advantage in this case. Jesse, I'd love to talk to you if you have time. 🌹

Wonderful balance of modern and Montessori
Jesse does a great job helping me understand the Montessori philosophy and principles while bringing all of that thinking into the modern world with a modern lens. Thanks for leading this conversation Jesse!

    the best Montessori podcast
Jesse covers a variety of topics related to Montessori that are very helpful to me as a homeschooling parent, and I think teachers/guides would likely benefit from them as well. He nicely balances referencing and honoring Montessori's original works with modern-day applications. Out of all the Montessori podcasts I listen to, this one has the most substance and is definitely my favorite.

Wonderful podcast! Appreciate it so much - the work it took to put it together and the insightful questions and the exact answers found in Montessori’s writings. Loved it and have already sent it to friends.

    Highly recommend podcast
As a Montessori certified teacher and the owner of a home-based Montessori preschool, I have enjoyed this podcast since the first time I heard it. I truly appreciate the conversations Jesse has had with all the guests as well as his own thoughts and reflections. Thank you so much Jesse for putting a great deal of time and efforts to make this wonderful podcast and I look forward to hearing more of it going forward!

    There’s more to birth
Listen to Indie Birth with your wife! Birth works best undisturbed at home 🏡❤️💪🏼 Follow the baby & the mother is right. Unfortunately the women interviewed in the birth podcast are not aware of the power they have, I had to turn it off because it made me sad hearing the first woman talk about how she “wasn’t allowed” to birth at home or in the water. Gutting that women believe that.

    Great Podcast
My wife and I are listening to this podcast from Japan and have found it very helpful. We have enjoyed the wide range of guest and view points that Jesse brings to every podcast. We even reached out to him with a question and got some great feedback.

    Enjoying this podcast!
I have been listening for some time now and I really appreciate this resource. I was introduced to montessori years before having kids, and I knew I wanted to go that route. But I had very little understanding of details behind everything. I knew no one personally who had kids in montessori schools. So I found this podcast, and since starting listening, I have launched 2 of my kids in to Children’s House. With COVID, there has not been opportunity to observe, so I look to this podcast for some insight and have gained a lot of understanding from it. I especially loved the conversation with Genni. I gained so much from it and plan to listen again- “normalization” concept is completely new to me so it was helpful as a parent in so many ways, even if I’m not in the classroom. I love the examples and experiences that you share on this podcast! thank you!

    So grateful for Jesse!
This is one of my go to podcasts! I am a Head of School and it is wonderful to hear Jesse talking about the same things we are working on day to day. We feel like we have a personal advisor and someone encouraging us in our work from a far. I can’t count how many times I’ve sent a podcast to a parent as well. Thanks Jesse!

    Great podcast
Thank you for the latest episode. I agree with many items you mentioned especially about work the way you view work can also portray how your child will think about work. I know it’s logical but have not thought much about it until you mentioned it. I am a first time mom and my baby is barely about a year old but these discussions give me some ideas of what kind of parent I would like to be. I do not know much about Montessori and listening to your podcast has given me some knowledge. I still have mix feelings about Montessori and would like to learn more. One question for you maybe one day you can answer via podcast can you follow Montessori at home even if your child attends regular school?

    Judgmental Tone
Although I agree with and parent by the principles discussed in this podcast, I am taken aback by the judgmental tone. I'm listening to an episode now where the host calls a teen who cannot do laundry "pathetic." Wow. Not sure how that is in any way a positive way to spread the Montessori education style.

A great, digestible podcast for those new and experienced to the Montessori way
Jesse makes learning about Montessori so effortless. As a first time mom I came across Montessori in an effort to have educational toys that were not overstimulating. I’m really enjoying learning about the values of the Montessori education and being able to come at it bit by bit instead of getting overloaded myself. Thank you for this podcast!!!

    Inspiration
This is a dose of inspiration and motivation for a newbie Montessori Teacher. I get energized and affirmation that this is my calling. Thank you for your clear and insightful observations on our passion to assist children to become active life long learners.

    Always inspiring
I’ve been listening to his work for a while now! His ideas and philosophies about education, parenting and being an adult in general is spot on. His work is also NOT just for parent's, as I myself am not a parent... yet. I just find out I'm having my first little one. I can say that I’m grateful for following before the new addition, we’re so exited to implement Montessori methods for our selves and our baby! Love from New York - Alissa B

    Inspiration to my calling!
I love listening to Jesse and the lessons from Montessori. I was an assistant in a Montessori classroom. I picked a different route after a year and a half. But after each episode I hear, it is inspiration to return the classroom.💗 I am reminded through Montessori’s message and Jesse’s perspective that Montessori teaching is my calling.

    Practical Advice for EVERYONE
I am a first time Mom to a 14 month year old toddler. I came across Montessori educational benefits through another podcast called godiaperfree. Learning how to potty train my infant at such an early age made me understand how much power I had as a “guide” to my own daughter. My daughter is close to be potty trained at only 14 month. This Podcast has not only help me understand how to deal with the toddler year ahead but has taught how to be a better adult and mother to my child. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful knowledge. It it is a true joy to listen.

The only podcast I have on repeat!
I’m new to Montessori & this podcast is one of the first things I found when doing research. It’s so informative and every episode covers everything you would think to ask or want to learn more about. I love the way Jesse breaks it all down and asks what were all thinking when he’s doing his interviews. I also love the special guests & learning from ppl that are Montessori affiliated in all different backgrounds as well as ones that are just speakers or parents that are relatable to Montessori and how best to incorporate it in real life situations. I’m a new mother and I’m always open to learning how to be the best mother I can be and this podcast is really one of the best sources I have to do that.

    A Time For Reflection
Jesse, I am truly grateful for this podcast. I have been listening to it on the way to work since I found out about it at the refresher course, and have enjoyed the content immensely. Your podcast has given me the opportunity to pause and reflect every morning on my life’s work as a Montessorian, and my role in the lives of the children in my environment. Thank you for this! I am planning on sharing the podcast with parents!

    Can’t stop listening— very interesting
I just stumbled upon your podcast because I was prompted through something I saw on Instagram about a space in the home someone has set up “Montessori style” so I searched podcasts and now I can’t stop listening!! (I should say we don’t even have kids yet but I’m intrigued by the concepts and thinking ahead! LOL)

So much learning as a parent
My 2 year old just started Montessori preschool last week. We toured several schools and my son chose Montessori. So I started learning about Montessori myself to establish appropriate environment at home. This podcast helped me so much not only with Montessori knowledge, but also with how to raise my child to an independent person. This also helped me to relax my parenting. Must listen for 2 year olds’ parents!

2 year old Parents Should Listen
Searching for educational and scholarly podcast that may help my current issues with my two year old and the current school. Acknowledging emotions and understanding how important it is to teach and accept both positive and negative emotions is a life long learning lesson. I hope podcast author can share the book and author of his recommended must read.

    Suggestion for new topics
Let me start by saying this is my all time favorite Montessori podcast. I love you perspective, topic areas, and ability to translate your knowledge and experience. I would love to hear about how traditional school teachers can better implement Montessori methodology in schools. I know you were once a traditional school teacher so I thought this would be a great area for you to blend those experiences and offer some tips. Love your channel!!

I love this podcast as both a parent of Montessori children and a teacher (non-Montessori). I look forward to this podcast! It is very insightful and helpful in understanding how to better understand what Montessori is and how to help my children. I highly recommend this podcast. As a teacher, I listen to get ideas for my class and how I could apply some Montessori principles.

    Excellent
Great Montessori podcast, covering a variety of topics and offering valuable advice/guidance. I’d recommend to parents and fellow teachers for sure, even if not exactly Montessori teachers. There’s so much here that is applicable and valuable to anyone interacting with children, be it a nanny, after school program lead, etc. Thank you Jesse!
  • Shinyhalo02
    Love, love this podcast!!
Jesse makes Montessori simple. I think we all try to complicate EVERYTHING and we are missing out on enjoying the journey with our children. Montessori Education is a refresher to my never ending thoughts of perfection—perfect environment, perfect activities, perfect response, etc!

    I LOVE this podcast!
This is such a great podcast. I love reading all of the books about Montessori, but I can’t get my husband to read any of it. This podcast is the only way to get him to delve more into the philosophy. I’ll just turn on the podcast while we are in the car, and we both really enjoy listening to Jesse and his guests. It really gets us talking about how we want to raise our children. I especially enjoyed this last podcast with Heike Larson. As a mom, I like hearing other parent’s perspective on Montessori outside of the classroom. Thank you for the book recommendations too.
