    We needed this!
As a parent, it's hard to navigate all the noisy advice out there. This podcast is your one stop shop for credible, supportive and empowering advice. Thank you!

    So helpful
Thank you so much for putting so much thought into this show. It has helped my family so much. We’ve replayed so many episodes that explained exactly what we were going through at the time with regards to raising our teen. I highly recommend this podcast to parents of teens. Even if you don’t have challenges at this moment, this podcast will surprise you with how many experts and resources there are available. It’s given us a lot of hope and also help us feel like we’re not the only ones going through this :) Thank you again!!

Exactly what I need heading into the teen years
Every speaker is top notch and totally relatable. The pace of the conversation is just right for me, it allows me to think between statements and reflect on my own experience. I really appreciate this podcast. Thank you!

So much great content, but too unpleasant to listen to
Sadly, I cringe every time I try to listen. The host’s speaking style is too disturbing and distracting for me. It sounds like he has a fluency disorder and will also interrupt the speaker with poorly timed loud chuckles in response. The audio quality sounds like the host is lying on his couch with phone pressed against his ear and shoulder. His enthusiasm is wonderful, as are the featured guests, but please find a more professional voice for hosting.

    Great stuff but….
Love the podcast and you tackle great issues. From a place of gratitude and constructive feedback, I find all your “ahs” and “mmm’s” as the guest is speaking to be quite distracting. Some of your comments are valuable and Of course elucidating followup questions are super valuable. But the noise for noise’s sake makes it hard to stay focused on what the speaker is saying.

    Please get a new host
The guests and topics are so important and I’m trying so hard to like this podcast but I feel that it falls short with every single episode. The host’s interview style and lack of follow through on questions leaves me wondering why the expectations are set so high at the beginning of the episode but nothing is delivered at the end. I can’t fathom getting a subscription when everything I’ve listened to so far is so lackluster.

    Andy’s voice
With podcasts I need to enjoy listening to the hosts voice before I can even get into digesting the content. Andy’s breathless, halting delivery is so distracting it actually makes me anxious. I would strongly recommend that if he wants to reach a wider audience he bring in a new host and he fills the producer role.

    Great Information
Everyone of us went to middle school. Most probably remember it to be a very awkward time, I know I did. I was lucky enough to stumble across a podcast that talked about exactly that. This podcast was produced by Talking to Teens and the episode was called “Growing Apart in Middle School,” as well as, “What to Say to Motivate Your Teen.” Personally, the most memorable thing to me about this podcast was how relatable it was. When you’re at that awkward preteen age, you may feel that the world is against you. The overall assumption is that this is the hardest part of your life, both for you and your parents. The thing I found most confusing about this podcast is that they were trying to explain how you can talk to your kid without being overwhelming. However, after listening they really did not give any tips on how to do this. Don’t get me wrong, this was very useful information, but it just wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. My biggest question is what are some tips and tricks to keep your kid from being overwhelmed by you. I felt very strongly about what they said about pushing your kid to talk to you. Their stance was, if you push to get your kid to talk to you then it will only make them push away more. That is how I was as an early teen, and honestly, I’m still like that now. That being said, every person is different, however, from what I’ve seen this holds true. I would give this a 3 star rating, as this was very good information, it just wasn’t what I was looking for personally.

Episode 99: Mom! Dad! Can I Have Some $
Andy, I really resonated with your episode with Chris Farrell on ReThinking $ for Children and Teens. It’s so important for kids to explore ways they can be social change agents rather than mere consumers of ever more stuff. I particularly liked the way the two of you defined PLAY, not just as hanging out, but also as occasions that can influence events and contribute needed resources. This deeper sort of analysis and contribution is exactly what I'm promoting in my upcoming guide and workbook for discouraged teens, How To Matter Now! So you've got a new fan! I'll definitely be tuning in!

    Thought provoking and practical!
Stumbled upon this podcast after a friend who is a teacher shared an episode with me. I’m not even a parent myself but the guests are awesome and the information always gets me thinking about my own teen years and the world of teenagers. Lots of intriguing content! Host Andy does a great job taking whatever the subject material is and applying it to parenting teens. Looking forward to more episodes!

Guests are good, but I can’t stand Andy!
When Andy introduces the guests, he sounds like a giddy school girl and gushes... In general, he sounds like is cognitively disabled or like a surfer who’s smoked way too much reefer over the years. It’s a shame because the guests are often good, but Andy ruins the show.

    Great Truth Revealed!
What an incredible mix of experts! I greatly appreciated the interview with Tim about How to Be Happy. Huge golden nugget was the social outcome of :The more time people spend on Social Media the less they feel actually connected to people . Tim hit on several facts that desperately need to be heard, especially by our Youth who are severely addicted to social media and by parents such as: It's not the parents responsibiltiy to make their children happy. I really appreciate Andy's genuine enthusiasm! Thank you for the gold.
