    An intriguing podcast
For those who are still watching the season of Watchmen, I’d recommend listening to the podcast before completing the season since it brings up good theories and critical thinking questions that we ask ourselves while watching the series.

    A must-watch
I also just watched all nine episodes, post-George Floyd America (thanks HBO for making it available for free this weekend). So glad I did! The show was thrilling in its own right, but is lifted by the wave of voices around the world, demanding equality and justice. And now I get to enjoy the podcast, spoiler-free.

Finally watched the series and was completely blown away. A masterpiece. I immediately began listening to this podcast. What I find especially interesting is that the interview took place shortly after the series ended and well before the murder of George Floyd and, of course, before the massive protests happening around the globe. I find it incredibly ironic that because of a worldwide pandemic, most everyone marching in the protests, are wearing masks. The orange villain in the White House refuses to wear a mask. I’m hope beyond hope that this powerful movement is an “airing out” of the despicable wound of racism that has been perpetrated for 400 years.

    Mind Blown
Great breakdown of the powerful and mind bending show.

Must-listen if you’re a fan of the show!
Hearing Lindelof himself go in-depth into what went through his mind (and his writing staffs' minds) while creating this masterpiece is just absolutely satisfying.

    Thoughtful
Thoroughly enjoyable listening to two masters of their craft deep dive into conversation of one of the most important pieces of television in the past decade. As a massive fan of the novel and desperately wishing there was such a podcast to talk about it at the time, this was very rewarding! Focused, funny, engaging and thorough albeit I wish it was longer! Kudos

    Complete!
Loved the podcast, loved the show, and loved the ending!! This was a great show that doesn’t need a season 2 (though it does deserve one!) bravo to the creator for wanting to keep the story in one season! Don’t change the story unless the STORY asks for it!

Made me love the show even more!!!!
    God damen go off!!!!!!!!

    No Black People
No Black people involved in the interview. Two white men having a conversation who don’t know what the hell they’re talking about. Typical white male behavior.

    Only 3 Episodes?
Giving 5 stars, because there should be more podcasts like this. My only qualm is that this series received 1 podcast for every 3 episodes. The depth of this show on a cultural, fan fiction, and historical level extended so far that each episode could have been discussed for 45 minutes each. Would have loved deeper exploration into the real and fake world stories from the perpective of the other writers and contributors. Understandably, there’s other podcasts talking about the show. I just expected more to come from the source, HBO. Really hoping to see another season of Watchmen!!

Smart conversation about a very smart series
I love the passion that informs every episode of this podcast, both of the viewer and the creator. It was a daunting task to tackle this material and Damon achieved everything he sought to do. The odd comments about reparations speak more to the commenters than the show. And the person who demanded to know the racial and gender make-up of the writers’ room really misses the point. I think this writers’ room had the BEST writers, no matter what the diversity numbers were, so what does it matter? Thank you, Damon, for an amazing thrill ride. I look forward to your next chapters. And Craig, you’re a great podcaster!

    Great Stuff
Damon is always such a great listen! This pod is a great compliment to the great show.

    Reperations
No one alive has ever been a slave, nor slave owner. Reperations is just another redistribution scheme by Leftists for someone else’s income. Resentment and Ignorance truely remain as the Twin Pillars of Progressives.
  • dontstopwalking
Essentially, an interview by an annoying fan
After 3 podcasts, why didn’t either of these MEN discuss and acknowledge the actual people in the writers room? He says how much “the writers room” kept him on track and helped navigate the arc of this series... so why didn’t he talk about WHO those people actually are? More importantly... he talks about how he wanted to include women and people of color into the Watchmen universe, did he reflect that in his writers room as well? Were there any black people? Women? He was so concerned about being true the topic of race relations... he better have had people of color in that room! How did they add to the fabric of those discussions that guided the series? They should’ve delayed the last podcast to allow for viewers to email some questions instead of limiting it to two men talking about a their perspective on black woman protagonist.

    The Leftovers/Watchmen
I watch the book of Nora every few weeks and I cry. I don’t really know if Nora really left and came back But having that final episode to give some closure to me. It Is awesome. I think I need closure for all the characters we met very briefly and very frenetically to finally figure out what you were trying to say and to feel more deeply and emotionally for who they are. Take your time.
  • TheresinceShish
    Incredibly insightful!
I only have one complaint about the pod, and that is that you promised to go over the easter eggs...you are leaving us hanging!
  • mmaclovin
    Wowza!!!!!
Congratulations to the writers, directors, actors and Mr. Lindelof on putting together such a well crafted and engaging show. I was riveted the whole time and learned so much history that as an African American, I am ashamed to not have known. Thank you to HBO for having the guts to letting a show like this be seen.

A fantastic look into The Watchmen’s origins.
The pod is of high quality in every way, and really works as like an annotated companion to the show. Personally, I’m appreciative that this comes straight from David, such a unique opportunity to how the show is built.

I like listening to the podcast. I have never read the Watchmen and have never seen the movie. So it helps to hear this commentary. I just focus on Angela as well. The history that the podcast speaks of is confusing.

    If only it had Peter
Loved Chernobyl the show and podcast. I also am really enjoying this new show called watchmen. This podcast is a must it is the perfect tag along for this great show.
  • la_shawn
    my only complaint
i wish there was a podcast for each episode. one podcast for every 3 shows is not enough time 😊 love the show and the podcast!!!
  • UltraMovieBrosep
    Masterpiece
I only hoped all the Easter eggs and imagery I caught had an intricate thought process behind them. I am ecstatic to learn that my hopes were true. The way Damon and the writers are able to highlight so many black issues is masterful. I am addicted and encouraging everyone to watch this series and then listen to this insightful podcast.

    Great podcast
It explains a lot about the show and even things that I have missed. I’m looking forward to episode 3.

    So informative
I love this show and I love this podcast! It takes us deeper into each episode and helps me understand better what is happening in the various storylines.

    Very fun
The tv series is so great and dense and afterward watching, you just want to dive in to all the details with people that know more than you. So very satisfying to listen to this podcast. Wish the host would do a little less talking though.

    Amazing podcast
This podcast is so good. I wish it was gonna be more than 3 episodes. :(
  • Linzey Lou Who
The host is talking too much....
The host has way too long intros to the questions and hardly hear the creators point of view. Extremely distracting.
  • DantheManMunoz
Great podcast for a great show!
I love hearing the thought process behind each episode and love the dynamic between Damon and Craig. Love it and hope they make another season of Watchmen and continue discussing the show!

Who watches the watchers of the watchmen?!?
Great podcast. Really connects the dots but also adds more to the mystique of the series. You really get to hear how much care was put into this story and the show. I look forward to every episode of Watchmen but now I’m like... please, I need a new podcast episode to hear more! It’s a shame it’s released after every three episodes but at the same time it fits perfectly with the whole mystery of it all. Just awesome.

    Brilliant and exciting
As usual Damon Lindelof gives us mesmerizing content and exposition of the meaning of Watchmen. As a huge fan of the comic and movie I’m so in for this. I really hope the average viewer who isn’t as immersed in the world use this to help untangle the mystery and supports the show so it stays on for many seasons. Thank you guys for such a excellent podcast.

    Common sense
I don't know why it's so easy for some of you to point out every Easter egg in watchmen, but then it's Soo hard for you to actually comprehend.... In the first podcast they clearly stated 3 episodes will be in one.... You guys are giving bad reviews because you can't comprehend words, please revaluate yourselves dunce brains 🙄😂🤣

    A great listen
Fascinating to hear Damon and Craig talk about this show. A deep dive into Watchmen. A must listen for any Watchmen fan!
  • MIKE DAVIS!
Great for fans of the show/comic — but we need more episodes!
This is a really cool podcast giving not necessarily a breakdown of each episode, but a bit of a philosophical “behind the scenes.” My main criticism is that, while I understand the timing and work that goes into this, it really should be an every episode podcast. A lot of stuff gets glossed over or sorta lost in the shuffle when you cram 3 hours of TV into an hour podcast.
  • letmetravel
    Fascinating
Really cool deep dive into not only the world of the show but also the writing behind. Lots of great insights on writing in general. Thanks guys!

Unparalleled Insight into the Mind Behind the Show
This exceptional podcast provides unparalleled insight into the mind behind the show. Perfect mix of crucial motivations, main themes and behind-the-scenes stories about creating the show, but without any dreaded spoilers. In addition, the host builds off his excellent work from the Chernobyl podcast to serve as an ideal guide for the listener (he’s also incredibly smart).

    Where are the episodes?
Only one podcast episode after 5 show episodes? 👎🏻 I liked the one episode that was released.
