Really love the freedom Matt gives to people so they can tell their stories, and he has thoughtful questions that add to the storytelling. Seems like guests are instructed to keep it moving - so many podcasts with guests, like Something Was Wrong, have such poor storytelling (saying the same thing over and over in different ways) that make it hard to listen to. The Private Record episodes are always a smooth and easy, but entertaining, listen! Really recommend.

This podcast is the highlight to my week. I like to listen and imagine what the person looks like based on their voice, and then jump on the YouTube to see if I was correct. Matt is an incredibly deep, thought-provoking, and empathic interviewer. I love hearing absolute bonkers stories that regular people go through. The world needs this podcast! -a regular person

The guests have all been fantastic, and their stories, highly entertaining! I love this podcast! One of my new faves!!

I’ve been a fan of Matt a long time and was obsessed with his past podcast: Matt D’Elia is Confused so I was super excited when he decided to start podcasting again. And this show is absolutely great!!! Each guest is vastly different from the next and each story is exciting and interesting and most of all - real - which is cool. Matt is phenomenal at the interviewing process with people which isn’t an easy task with some topics. I highly recommend this show and anything Matt does! Also he’s super sweet and also super handsome BING BONG

This podcast is awesome, especially for those who love to hear stories from others. Matt is a charismatic listener and let’s the guests really open up. Great stuff!
