!RR!Saved meDan is fantastic. His approach which is driven by substance and really bringing the best voices to the conversation has frankly saved me and my understanding of the conflict at large. Hats off

SusansurieCall me backToday’s episode (1/2/25) is literally mind blowing! Fauda on steroids!

KentuckyMama17We who stand with IsraelI have been listening to this podcast since a friend first recommended it after October 7, 2023. I am horrified by the reaction of seemingly normal, moral Americans who find the brutality committed by Hamas to be “justified.” Please know that there are many here in America who are quietly going about their day-to-day lives, but who pray for Israel, who pray for the hostages, and who even pray for the innocent Gazans caught in the middle. We see your struggle, and we stand with you and your fight. We haven’t all lost our dang minds and sided with the evil terrorists. Thank you for the honest reporting of what is really going on - warts and all - with the IDF, and the government, and even what Israelies are feeling through this terrible ordeal. I am only a stay at home mom from Kentucky, but I stand with you and pray for you.

JoseEmergiiGreat podcastConsistently excellent analysis and content. I love that Senor always starts by giving the time in New York and in Israel.

Jon MadofInvaluableWhen corporate media in the West covers Israel, you might (if you’re lucky) get something based on fact. But you more likely get something in between opinion masquerading as fact and outright lies. Senor’s podcast is an antidote to that unfortunate reality, going to the source and reporting something that’s sorely lacking in our media landscape and our culture at large: the truth.

MessyRobotGreatest podcastNo single podcast is as informative, reliable, articulate about a complicated region of the world. The quality of guests is impeccable and consistently impressive.

Lach5A Must ListenAbsolutely indispensable if you want to understand what is actually going on in Israel, Gaza and the Middle East.
-
dbb4uaMust listen content! This podcast is indispensable to those interested in events in Israel. I’ve listened for years and absolutely love it. Dan is great and the guests are fantastic. (I also like the new “cover art”. … I bet Dan’s gonna be getting some calls back from the Ladies!)
-
sdkitergirlNice!Attractive new thumbnail. Can find the podcast easier now!

JCSSFNew cover artThe old cover art was much better — it was simple and stood out on my feed because of the colors. One of the things I love about this pod is that it doesn’t focus on Dan and he lets the guests speak. This cover is cheesy, host-focused, and feels like I’m about to be sold something by a financial planner or real estate agent. Also, he’s smiling and yet the podcast often covers heavy topics. Yes, the pod has a sense of humor but the pose and smile don’t align with the content/vibe. Also, one critique for a pod I generally love: Why are there no Palestinian guests (Ahmed Alkhatib?) on the pod? Why no Israel/Arabs? Why almost no women? Why so few in the moderate or center-left camp like Shaiel Ben-Ephraim even for a debate? We need more diverse perspectives to fully understand the conflict and potential paths toward peace.

listening from baltimoreThank you!I have been waiting all day for you to drop an emergency podcast! I was so excited to see that it just dropped. Thank you ever so much for providing immediate analysis and insight. I love listening to your podcasts and have learned so much from the high quality interviews and guests

Msred04Outstanding!This podcast is very informative and well orchestrated. Great job!

Moishy KnawAmazing insight- a bit of echo chamberThe insight we get from this podcast is second to none. At the same time while Nadav and Haviv bring amazing insight and updates, this podcast has become a bit of left leaning echo chamber. Some of the discussion about what people in Israel say, is not universally accurate. Sure if you go to Tel Aviv you will hear what they report, however if you go to Jerusalem or anywhere else, the people are much more optimistic. Also, please stop the bibi fever, it’s nauseating, and does not reflect the accurate predictions in Israel. I believe we need reporters from the right as well , so we can get a more balanced understanding. I’m not interested in the right leaning echo chamber either. But balance would be great. Thank you for all you do.

Kizzle77OutstandingInforms and inspires like few others! Thank you so much for this.

Ariella BernsteinThank you from IsraelWhile I love the content, what moves me to tears every time is the opening of the show. “Today is November 18, it’s 9:00 am on the east coast and it’s 4 pm in Israel as Israelis as winding down their day.” It might sound like something trivial but knowing that you are thinking of my moment in time as you are recording the show means so much to me.

LA photo album makerSo gratefulI started listening to this podcast after Oct 7 and it is outstanding. I am so grateful for the depth and for the smart reporting about Israel. I hope my husband doesn’t mind how often I say I love Dan Senor 😊

MaxAMillion57Nuanced Propaganda - Consume with CautionThe latest episode, about attacks on Israelis in Holland, seals the deal on the deep biases contained in this podcast. It describes anti-Semitic attacks in harrowing detail. It does not acknowledge that they were preceded by Israeli attacks on Muslim, including burning a Palestinian flag and chanting that there no schools in Gaza because the children are all dead. Including attacks on taxi drivers. This omission is chilling and seems intentional. It frames the conflict as a spontaneous pogrom from the Muslims. A minor detail from an earlier episode with Sheryl Sandberg stuck with me. She included a melodramatic description of her husband’s great parents on the ill-fated MS St. Louis, the ship full of European Jews trying to escape Hitler. They saw the Statue of Liberty and were turned away. Senor surely knows that the St. Louis was never near New York. There is interesting perspective here and great interviews. But you can’t trust it.

Broker911Out of touch and arrogantWow…just listened to the latest episode - November 6 2024 - talking about Trumps win, which is a complete disaster for America by the way. You spoke about the love Independent voters have for Israel…are you kidding me? I am an Independent voter, and I have no love for Israel, not after what I’ve seen unfold over the last year in Gaza (and the West Bank, and now Lebanon) and I am most definitely not alone. You people are out of touch…and you think everyone who protests against Israel on behalf of a Free Palestine is pro-Hamas or Pro-Hezbollah. Get a grip. Typical Zionist hubris and arrogance…it’s exactly this attitude that puts your people at risk, not only in Israel, but all over the world. And your episode about the attacks on Iran…laughable. You hit mostly decoy air defenses and your pilots never even entered Iranian air space…the missiles were fired from Iraq and Syria….but you made it sound like your pilots are so brave and fearless. Keep up the rhetoric.

sjfdcHeard you on Two Jews and the News and now will delete this podcast1. You talked three times as much as the others and spewed out rhetoric without answering directly Bash's questions. 2. You have zero empathy for the other. It is as if you believe that Israeli lives are worth more than others. I love Israel and I am a Jew and a Zionist but they are not. 3. When Trump put a target on Jews' backs with his statement that we will be responsible for his loss, you said this won't affect policy?!!! Policy is irrelevant with MAGA. Policy didn't stop the storming of the Capitol. Policy won't prevent attacks on Jews if Trump loses. 4. If the words 'Trump is disastrous for this country' can't come out of your mouth and you cannot see that he has absolutely zero loyalty to anyone ( per Bash's comments) then I cannot spent my precious hour listening to you while running ever again. Seriously man.

Tajo4765ExcellentDiscovering this wonderful podcast is a silver lining to come from Oct 2023. Found it because I discovered Haviv and went looking for where he spends his time. Haviv keeps good company. Podcast has wonderful host. Wonderful guests. Highly informative. A true treasure of knowledge and discourse. Cannot praise enough.

NickBAwesomeBad misinformationGood news offers all context and the full story. The messages in this show are fixed on an emotional and anti-Islamic fear There is no recognition for the real victims of global conflicts, and the impacts of colonialism. The effects of European colonialism is real and this show aims to obscure that fact with a distorted framing. Recognize the real enemies of USA are the liars in mainstream news agenda.

PeeksDaddyTuvia Book is an inspiration to all!“The People’s Army” episode is fantastic … fascinating details, humor, gritty reality, and inspiration. Thank you!

BetsyandCarlBest PocastThank you for all of these wonderful podcasts that keep us all well informed. Can you educate us on UN Peacekeepers? Who they are and what they do. Why are they in Lebanon and are they in other locations around the world?

ANickiGripping retelling of Nahal Oz on October 7I listened to the interview, and then bought Amir Tibon's book " The Gates of Gaza" online to hear more. Imagine my surprise when I received a link to the Aish film "October 7th: Voices of Pain, Hope, and Heroism", and watched Major General Ret. Noam Tibon, sharing his experience on that same morning.

only ads?!My lifeline for a yearOn a year that marks the day thats shook my life, your show has been a lifeline. You, Haviv, Sam, and the many many other intellects and experts have given some semblance of clarity to my core. As a request, pls more experts on Iran and the potential future of the regime.
-
AshB-GExcellentI have relied on this podcast for the true story of what’s happening in Israel and Gaza since I started listening shortly after 10/7/23. I truly feel I’m living in the twilight zone of U.S. media reporting and am so grateful to have a source for reliable, truthful information. I have learned so much and am so grateful to Mr. Senor and all of his guests. Thank you!

Latrobe PaSupport for IsraelAfter listening to the 10/2 Podcast where Dan reads a letter from his children’s school, please know that they are many others(non -Jews)who follow, support and pray for Israel and all their people.

dakinesoulriderThoughtfulGreat factual reporting and information. Thank you!!!
-
AllegraOLove this podcastDan is amazingly thoughtful, incredibly well prepared and knowledgeable. Grateful for his commitment to Israel and ensuring his listeners have the best possible chance to understand the history of this conflict.
-
TednjaneA sobering reminderThankyou Dan and Douglas. As we approach one year to Oct. 7th we need to stay vigilant to the plight of Israel. Stay strong and God bless you and Israel!
-
RoMarMyAmazing Show!!I started listening to this show after following The Daily Briefing and being introduced to Dan’s friends as commentators on that show. Being able to hear the views of Nadav Eyal, Amit Segal and Haviv Rettig Gur has been a gift to help us all understand this conflict and the politics of Israel and the Middle East….. Fabulous Show!!! Thank You!!!!
-
zubarskySenor’s guest should form their own podcastDan’s constant Bibi worship is hard to listen to. Senor was the chief spokesman for the provisional Iraqi government. Missiles from Iraq were part of the April Iran attack. I’m sickened by the constant apologism for Bibi. To think that Bibi bares no blame for Oct 7 and more recent hostage deaths is not insane, as Senor says. It’s fact. Bibi has taken no responsibility and Senor thinks that is fine.

-
NesornebIntelligent & InsightfulRefreshing reporting & interviewing that focuses on facts & highlights a variety of perspectives. Important podcast those interested in trying to understand this dangerous new world in which we're living.
-
sngr4evrIncredibly informative and importantThis is the best commentary giving context to 10/07 and the existential threats Israel is facing today. The interview with Mark Dubowitz was sobering to say the least.

Alan0Biases against the U.S. support of Usrael!Call Me Back: August 15 "Holding Pattern with Jonathan Schanzer" : the claim that the U.S. is directly interfering with Israel's war with Hamas that has slowed the war to the detriment of Israel. This is not true. PM Netanyahu has repeatedly said that Israel makes ALL Israel's decisions about the war AND inputs are welcome. So don't put the blame on the U.S. that way. You did credit the U.S. for the billions and billions of dollars spent on supplying weapons and re-supplying weapons to help Israel succeed in fighting the war (with only ONE case of not sending large weapons, although you said it in the plural). It’s a shame that Dan is not willing to provide those facts to offset Mr. Schanzer’s outrageous attacks about Israel’s best friend, the United States of America. This experience is enough to cancel my regular listening to the Call Me Back podcast. There are many balanced podcasts and don’t attack the U.S. with the biases that both presenters demonstrated in this podcast.

IanblaneNever miss an episodeDan Senor and his guests are the most reliable way to get the best, objective information on all things Israel and the Middle East. Thoughtful, through and entertaining, this is a “don’t miss “ podcast. My highest recommendation.
-
AZCohenThe Best podcast for geopoliticsCall Me Back is the most insightful podcast to understand how leaders think about the big picture (or don’t). My main source for what’s really going on. Dan and his guests discuss the realities, not just their own views.
-
AUZZ28Absolutely fantastic podcastIn-depth analysis with very knowledgeable guests (and very knowledgeable host). Episodes are very relevant to current events and come out right away with new developments. Highly recommended.
-
Prison ShrinkOutstanding podcastI almost never listen to podcasts of any kind. I find most of them boring and pointless. This one is of an entirely different order. I’m going back and listening to every episode in the archive. I’ve purchased both of Mr. Senor’s books. The information in the podcast episodes is fascinating and relevant, and the guests are insightful and cogent. I don’t think you’ll find a better source of accurate, balanced information about Israel and America’s role in the Middle East.
-
rikjrossIsrael Updates from Israeli POV: Long Form Reality TherapyThe best, up close, continuously updated information from POV of senior Israeli officials, journalists, etc about evolving situation in Israel and the Middle East. Outstanding.
-
WaywooRises to the TopOf all my beloved political podcasts, this one is always enlightening, relevant to the moment, and places each event in historical and philosophical contrast. I believe it was Dan Senor who made Haviv Rettig Gur famous, and he has now aligned a whole cadre of brilliant analysts. I look forward to each episode as a highlight of my day.
-
Benn Y.Love the host’s unbiased opinionsThis is a great podcast. I love most of the guests, and that Dan is not afraid to push back on his guests when he doesn’t agree with them.
-
xpzltThe Elephants in the RoomFirst, a huge thank you for these podcasts! Your audience, as you have often told your guests, want to be educate, even if we think we are well-read and informed. What is not said is always important; and while we’ve acknowledged the role and strategy of the Iranian elephant we have studiously avoided discussing potential strategies the mastodon(USA & allies) might pursue in modifying Iranian behavior. Another related, but no less important issue: A superpower should be able to guarantee and enforce freedom of navigation of the seas, and the US has abdicated that position It would be very interesting to invite several retired military(eg Admiral Stavridis) to discuss -how USA might shed its paper tiger image and project its power short of declaring war against Iran
-
scott mathiasBest Podcast on IsraelIf you want to be informed on the latest thinking on the Middle East conflict then this is your podcast. It’s really a behind the scenes look at what’s happening in Israel post October 7th. Super insightful

101732Matti FriedmanLove the podcast. Please ask Matti Friedman to stop up talking.
-
Belo-PaulLove the show but…I love this podcast. I’ve learned so much thanks to it. However I do agree that Dan is way too deferential to Netanyahu, but to his credit he does often invite people who are highly critical of Bibi. I would love to see a podcast about the West Bank and the settlements. I don’t understand why that topic, which is a central one to the conflict, hasn’t yet been explored.
