Lilly21661Love the ShowI found this podcast about 6 months ago and I added it to my post-Oct 7 lifeline immediately. Amanda is a great interviewer and I love the variety of guests and range of topics she has on the show. I didn’t think I’d be interested in the prayer book episode but I ended up really moved by the 3 women and the book they put together. The podcast never disappoints! Always love a Haviv episode! I look forward to each new episode- a bright light during these dark times.

0l3t8nFantastic! Information is up to date, in depth, in context, with helpful comments for non Israelis.Every time I listen I learn something new. The tone is calm and focused and nuanced. I love that you hear from real people living real lives - thank you for your fantastic reporting.

womanbyherradioProf. Eugene KandelAddressing only a part of this episode: Prof. Eugene Kandel several times referred to “productive” people—these were only the CEOs or entrepreneurs, and never the people who do the work at these companies below the top. It was distressing to hear the same disregard for the everyday worker that has plagued America with trickle down, Chicago School, utterly failed economics. His disdain for the Israel’s labor past, that built the country, is painful to hear.

Written ArtYou are not alone.Listening to May 30. Am sickened by the double victimization & blame the victim taking place against the Jewish & Israeli People. As an American Gentile, I am unable to sleep at night, having panic attacks, praying without ceasing for the hostages & their loved ones because of the extreme cruelty suffered by all at the hands of one of the worlds most evil terrorist groups, their supporters, & those whom protest or participate in the BDM out of sheer ignorance & lack of doing their homework in full. Or simple antisemitism. I have enough friends whom have served in US Special Forces alongside the IDF to speak of the integrity of IDF & their respect for humanity, including their own. Those were their loved ones. Their colleagues. Their children. Their parents. It’s inexcusable the response of the International Community & the UN. I have also heard these same speak of the unspeakable terrorist acts of cruelty committed by Hamas on a daily basis. The hatred of humanity - all humanity. I do believe you are correct in that a new level of cruel weaponization against women has been instigated by this horrid group & I see seeds of it popping up within factions showing up here. Too much of the media are or act antisemitic. They play to sensationalism & ruin lives where they have an opportunity to actually do good, they choose to do evil & that is what it is when reporting false rumors & blatant lies against Israel. Please know there are many more of us out here that are supporting Israel. Giving to your organizations to try to help. Sending you our love & prayers. As much as you must feel it, you are not alone. I wish I knew more what to do. For now, my tithe is going to Israel & my heart is broken beyond words at the pain you and your fellow Israelis are suffering daily. And for the excessive cruelty & war crimes being committed by Hamas & Hamas alone. May G-d bless you. May HaShem strengthen you & uphold you. And may He bind His arms around Israel giving you favor and strength and guidance in the days lain out before you. And may you feel love of the international community not being spoken for but those that do indeed support Israel and are in deep & fervent prayer for you. Shalom my friend. Thank you for the podcast.

samanthamorgan985This podcast is my rock.I am an 23 year old American. I have never needed so much love and support and insight from the Jewish community as I did, and still do, post 10/7 because I never felt vulnerable due to my status as a Jew. This podcast has made me feel so much less alone as it reinforces how the Jewish people are tiny but mighty, how abundantly capable we are of resilience in the face of hatred, and how we are exactly what I always thought we were, as opposed to the horrible things that MANY choose to say that we are. I love this podcast and I’m eternally grateful for, and proud of, Amanda’s work here. 💙

Professor R. HinkleyWow!The latest episode, with Amanda interviewing Yossi, is really not to be missed. This podcast always gets at the tough questions in Israeli society and culture. A great listen, keep up the good work!

Rafael3600Cottler-MunschThe webinar portion with Cottler-Munsch was less than useless. They should have pushed her out of the studio. The episode was about whether people who love Israel in the diaspora have a say in its future. All she could talk about was the demonization of Israel. She had no interest in answering any questions.

Alan0Russian invasion of Ukraine on Feb 23 … awesome treatment of the situationAll Times of Israel podcasts are excellent, however, this one on 2/23/23 , on the anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia was expecially powerful! Ksenia Svetlova is amazing…articulate, clear, for the heart….as an immigrant from Ukraine, now an Israeli, and a former MK, Ksenia conveys what we need to know about Israel’s approach and Russia’s behavior. And she eloquently explains as a former citizen of a dictatorship what Israel is facing if the current government goes through with the judicial reform. Supported by that topic, Lazar Berman reinforces the dangerous situation that Israel is facing…as of the date of the podcast. Alan Warshaw Palo Alto, California

WHIMSICAL1236The podcast on 36 with General Yadlin was terrific. Every Jewish child and adult should listen and remember who we are. The concept of finding 36 righteous people is excellent.

Benjy2708Benjy GoldbergThe perfect length and variation of topics for a bi-weekly new bite!

Sabra122Love itListened to the whole interview with Efraim Halevi on the way from Ocala, FL to Miami, and it was the highlight of our listening road “entertainment”. FANTASTIC. Great questions and a-m-a-z-i-n-g answers. Wonderful ‘stories’ to put things in context. Loved the historical perspective, sharing the personal experiences, brilliant observations, articulate analysis and lovely humor, some self effacing and some a bit cynical yet applied with a light and deft hand. Super, super great podcast. Will forward it to everyone on my email list. Only one criticism: THE SOUND!!! Please get a sound engineer who can expertly adjust the sound to the different voices and the fluctuating volumes of each speaker. Because we are not robots, our voices change tones, timber, volume, highs and lows, whispers and loudness, etc. We, the listeners, had to constantly adjust the volume button, a pain in the bum😜!!!! Thanks for providing us with a terrific hour and 36 minutes. We will listen to the previous episodes and your podcast is now part of our library of podcasts. Keep on doing what you are doing. We are with you. Dita Teitelbaum Alan Tannebaum Miami, USA

169080551Best objective news from IsraelThe best and most objective political discussion and news from Israel
-
Noah EfronStraight-up, serious & *very* smartDiscussion of news in Israel by insightful and articulate journalists who are close to the events, and maybe as objective as it is possible to be in as embattled and (politically and humanly) complex a place as Israel. They also discuss what it is like to report the news, and the dilemmas that journalists face when they try to cover events. It’s very serious and very smart.
