You’ve made me reconsider songs I dismissed years ago (I’m looking at you ‘Stay’). Can’t wait til you get to ‘Erotica’...the most underrated album she ever released. You guys rock.❤️❤️❤️❤️

Though I am not fully caught up, I had to stop my binge listening to say THANK YOU! MLVC has been a huge part of my life since the 80s and I thought I knew everything about her, but I was wrong. Mark and Kenny don’t just analyze and critique the music, instead they bring us down memory lane and provide context to evolution of all the Madonna sounds coming from our radios these past 40 years. I can’t get enough. Bravo! Keep it going, “Don’t Stop” boys.

I recently found these wonderful humans and their podcast after they were guests on Hot Takes and Deep Dives. I have started from season one episode one fallen in love with Mark & Kenny and have fallen in love AGAIN with Madonna. Thank you both for a WONDERFUL trip down Memory Lane. I remember going over to my dads house on the weekends (split custody) and he had MTV unlike my very strict mom. Well, there I was one day, as a very young teenager, when Madonna’s Express Yourself video came on. I was never the same…

I fell upon this podcast by accident and thnk god I did. Each episode takes me back and helps me to relive parts of my life from teh beginning of Madonna and her journey. The hosts are amazing and make me laugh, cry and all the emotions. Def A++

This podcast came into my life right at the beginning of the pandemic, and I honestly don’t know how I would have gotten through those early days without it. Being a huge Madonna fan from a small town, I didn’t always have people to talk to about her in any kind of in-depth or substantial way, so having Mark and Kenny has been a godsend. They truly feel like old friends - MY PEOPLE - and their insight, honesty, and humor make this show the very best out there for Madonna fans. Boys, THANK YOU. This is truly a gift.

For anyone who loves Madonna and her music this Podcast is perfect. The care and love that Kenny and Mark put into these shows always on display. This is one of the only podcasts where repeat listens are common and enjoyed as if it was my first time. It’s always disappointing when the show ends. Highly recommended!

This show is amazing. For us lifelong Madonna fans, it’s so nice to have a show that analyzes her lifetime of work product through a historical lense. Explored through personal experiences, Mark and Kenny weave a story of how the music of Madonna has been a soundtrack to their lives both at the time of release and it’s impact today. This is one of the most thorough explorations of the music of the most successful female musical artist of all time. I look forward to new episodes weekly and these hosts never disappoint.

As a lifelong Madonna fan, I absolutely love this show. Kenny and Mark are phenomenal historians, archivists and docents of all things in the culture of Madonna. I’ve personally never had a community or others to explore Madonna with so listening to this podcast is so fulfilling to me as I’ve spent countless obsessive hours with this woman’s work like they have. Kenny and Mark provide highly intelligent commentary, are highly intentional and respectful and sensitive to many aspects of Madonna and her fan base, while also having healthy debates, and remaining down to earth. I sincerely appreciate that they aren’t sycophants to everything M and are able to look at her work through a variety of filters. If that wasn’t enough, they are absolutely hysterical as well. I have busted out laughing on the treadmill on many occasions to this podcast. Lastly my favourite aspect is learning about their personal lives and how Madonna‘s work was inspiration, a comfort, or a soundtrack for different life phases and its ups and downs, something I relate to very much. These guys have a lot of heart and feel like long lost friends. Tens across the board!

I’ve been a Madonna fan since the beginning. Coincidentally, Madonna is on my mind 24/7 and i could immediately relate to the podcast title. I love all things Madonna. They present each era, track and tours with humor. The best thing about this podcast are their fictional scenarios on how different things played out in Madonnas life and career. It’s light hearted but also full of detailed history mixed with their own experiences. It’s a must for all Madonna fans. If you like The Immaculate Podcast, your will love this!

Oh my God! Mark and Kenney are becoming my new therapists. I listen to them every week and all my problems disappear! Tuesday is my favorite day of the week because of these guys. The hook is obviously Madonna and I’m a die hard fan (I was born the day she released her first album), but little by little you feel that you have two new friends, as they are so nice and funny, and they actually share a lot of things that are very relatable as a gay man living in New York. Thank you, guys!!!

A thoroughly enjoyable podcast dedicated to the life and career of Madonna. Mark and Kenny offer such thoughtful and interesting commentary on Madonna’s music. Going song by song, album by album we get a clear picture of why Madonna is such an important artist. This podcast should be a template for others who want to podcast about their favorite artist.

I’m only to the uncut Madame X episode in season one and I know there are long episodes to come, but I wish all of the episodes were this unedited. I could listen to like a half hour of them talking about any Madonna song. Too late for my criticism now, but definitely will say that the unedited episode is so good. Besides that, I love this show and the insight can be so fun and funny. Thanks for making this podcast xoxo

The premise of this really interesting. Two mega fans (who were actually there during her heyday) working their way through Madonna’s discography. Fool-proof right? Not so much. I’m aware that during the earlier seasons the hosts were finding their footing with the show but I think her earlier albums really needed some extra love. There was an opportunity to really bring the listener in with the music, painting a picture of the atmosphere back then but a lot of the early episodes are the two hosts riffing about personal stories and not really much about the music. This wouldn’t be a problem if it felt like they were on the same wavelength but it seems at times that Kenny is restraint, reserved and not really excited or as excited as Mark is, which in turn can make Mark seem extra, and overly-excited. I’m sure their respective personalities IRL are pleasant but my experience with podcasts is that it should feel like you’re eavesdropping on two friends two martinis in. I will continue listening because the show is highly bingeable and as I’m only at “Erotica”, I’m sure the format will get better somewhat. Thanks guys

A Madonna masters class. These guys bring out the remixes, interviews and historical insights with lots of humor.

I just really like it. It recreates the feeling of sitting with a fellow Madonna fan(s) who gets it. They focus on the work, and discuss its context without letting it become a holier-than-thou study of genius. It’s pop music—brilliant pop music by a musician who continually presses the boundaries of the genre—but it’s pop music. I appreciate the personal stories about how each song related to them as they first heard it and where they are now. It’s also important that the show is unabashedly queer. The high stakes of the best Madonna songs are about falling in love with a boy, a new ambition, or yourself. The hosts talk about all those things in a very real way, and their chemistry is great.

Kenny and Mark are amazing hosts!! They have terrific chemistry and charisma. I love their insight on the tracks, as well as their personal anecdotes, regarding how the music has aligned with their personal journeys. They’re well-versed on Madonna history, which adds credibility to their dissection of the music. This podcast is the premiere Madonna podcast, exploring M’s catalogue, album by album, song by song. They go in-depth on singles, with remixes and live performances, and give ample time to the remaining cuts on each album. If I had the patience, I’d let them cache up, to listen to a review of an entire album, but I can’t barely wait for the next one! Kenny and Mark…Do you know…what it feels like for a fan? Hope this gives you the feels!!

Spotify suggested this podcast for me a few days ago. The first episode I selected to listen to was Erotica. A favorite song and was surprised to see the episode was an hour long. And what a very personal hour. Once the episode was over was done I went back to beginning…Album 1 Side 1 track 1: Lucky Star. And this podcast has been keeping me company ever since. I’m up to I’m Breathless now and it hasn’t even been a week. And happy to share those Erotica Remixes are now on Spotify. I can’t wait to be all caught up. Love this podcast.

Your personal, music & performance backgrounds add such breadth & informative nuances to your perspective on Madonna’s extensive catalog & overall career decisions. Adding the interviews (not just M), music cuts (not just M) & general history 101 on what was also going at the time in entertainment / politics shows how seriously you take this enormous podcast project. It should be required listening for any contemporary pop music course (& all Gen Z) . As a lifelong 40-something, straight female M defender (who also sometimes rolls my eyes at her antics & wants to rush her to the next incarnation/project) I find myself marveling at your spot-on vocabulary, laughing & nodding along at you hitting all the right notes & more. Oh & I have agreed w/all if your fav remixes as well (makes me want to break out the CD singles safely packed away in my plastic sleeve canvas binder.) Thank you! I love a good Madonna deep dive, and these guys do it so well! Im loving going down memory lane track by track and learning all the little tidbits of madonnas career and artistry, it’s making me fall deeper and deeper in love with her discography. They really express themselves and give their honest thoughts and opinions on M good and bad, and also take the time to reflect on her public image at any given point in her career, the people she surrounded herself with etc … As a huge M fan I find this knowledge fascinating! Thank you guys for putting together such a great podcast!

This podcast has reconnected me with the 1980's Madonna era especially the True Blue track by track analyses. I can't wait to hear the analyses from the 1990s era and on.

In the same way Madonna dives deeper and deeper into her career, Kenny and Mark unabashedly dive deeper into the meaning and the heart of what we love about Madonna. These conversations especially around Erotica have made me reexamine and explore my relationship to this album and how it formed me in ways I didn’t realize. I can’t wait to see how this show grows as we follow our queen of reinventions

I love how thorough and methodical Mark and Kenny are in approaching the headspinningly broad career of Madonna. Seemingly taking a cue from Madonna herself, they put in the work and don’t cut corners. They take her 30+ year career track-by-track and treat us to their deep knowledge and personal relationships with one of the most stunning and at times confounding artists to ever take the world’s stage. The hosts do a great job of balancing a foaming love of Madonna with the facts which I feel like for a lot of us is hard to do. Also for those of us that entered into the Madonnaverse later in the game (Ray of Light here) it’s a great deep dive into an era of Madonna that we acknowledge of course, but I think we’re sometimes a little too quick to gloss over (“Oh that was my sisters’ Madonna not mine”)

Fantastic! I love hearing both the hosts take on each song. Madonna is a very complicated character and one you cannot take too seriously. Both hosts do a fantastic job dissecting not only the songs but also what was going on in Madonna’s life at the time and it makes for a very satisfying listen. I can’t wait to hear the second season. Or the Ingrid to the other's Madonna? The Tess to the other's Breathless? Whatever they may be, they are two extraordinarily knowledgable men, and they approach their subject with respect and thought-- not with undue reverence or, worse, common Schadenfreude. I love this podcast. These guys obviously love Madonna and they are both very charming. I loved how informed they are about Madonna’s life and career. My only complaint is how short these podcasts are. I could listen to Kenny and Mark talk Madonna all day. I hope they start doing hour long podcasts. I’d love an episode focusing on Truth or Dare. Anyway, I love the podcast. I’m so happy people are finally celebrating the Queen, Madonna.
