    Strong pro hamas bias
Very strong pro Hamas/pro terrorism bias in this podcast. Its astounding they care more about aligning with qatar and iran vs US and israel. Shame on them. Its possible that qatar helps fund this podcast.

Getting more one sided and less neutral
Tried this but in the past year, getting more one sided. Too bad. Like it otherwise.

    Really?
I’m sick of hearing about how Harris’ policies are thin while hearing nothing about Trump’s threats to jail opponents, remove people in a bloody way, incoherent responses to basic questions (such as child care), weird mentions of Hanibel Lector, sharks etc. I stopped listening to today’s episode at about the 2 min 20 sec mark. Both candidates/parties are NOT the same - wish the media would do better

PhD scientists are addressed as “Dr.”
3/10/23- Dr. Katalin Karikó has a doctorate, please put some respect on her name. It’s crazy that a woman can go on to win a Nobel prize and still struggle to be get basic respect from journalists.

Good way to start the day
Engaging host, good production. About 15 minutes a morning of well-chosen news highlights. Completely changed my impression of USA Today as a news source and I read them more regularly now that I’ve heard some of their quality reporting.

    Look deeper
When discussing JD Vance as tRump’s VP ‘pick’, remember to look at potential mega donor funds as factor from Vance’s billionaire mentor Peter Thiel, and also the connections to Heritage Foundation and Project 2025.

    Very biased
This show is so biased. It doesn’t just lean left it’s fallen over.
  • Hefewise
If you don’t ask hard questions, you get soft answers.
Having Jonathan Greenblatt from the ADL on and asking him the least challenging questions about Israel, Palestine, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza is a shameful excuse for journalism. As a Jew, I expect more from this media outlet. Listen to DemocracyNow! instead.

    Your opinions
It is obvious that your feeding points are well set before broadcasting. Which is not unusual but please don’t try to sway us. Just the important information is all I need. Not your opinions. Regarding the presidential election. I wonder what would happen if most just didn’t vote. Both are too old, trump is vile and Biden is an idiot and just too old. I’m going to watch the State of the Union just to see if he makes any sense. At this point, I’m not voting for either

Just Discovered This Podcast,… And I Love It!
Keep up this excellent work. I don’t really have anything more to say about it but..,I will be back anytime you’re on. I’ll be here. Merry Christmas everyone.(I say that because I have always said that in spite of Donald Trump and his MAGA loonies.)

    Turn up the volume
I enjoy the content of the show. I wish they would turn the volume up a bit. I listen to quite a few podcast and I always have to turn up the volume when this podcast comes on. I also like the old “five things” format.

    No coverage of Palestinian deaths
I find it very disappointing that you had a whole episode dedicated to a single Israeli hostage being found dead, you have absolutely zero coverage on the over 10000 that have died on the Palestinian side. Media bias is real. Fix your coverage.

    Bring Back 5 Things
Hi! This is one of my favorite podcasts. I love waking up with it. But I don’t like the new format and name change. I NEED the old theme song! Even my dogs know when they heard it that the day was beginning. I’m still giving a good rating but just wanted to throw it out there to bring back the Five Things format! Thanks so much!

    Show on Political Vaccines
When Mr. Biden & Ms. Harris were candidates, I watched them say that they would not be COVID-19 vaccinated by any vaccine created by President Trump. After he was elected, President Biden took the credit for the COVID-19 vaccination program that was quickly created & rolled out during the Trump administration. We can’t blame it on Russian trolls. Look in the mirror, we have our own red, white & blue trolls. I think our foreign enemies get their material repeating how we self-criticize/air our dirty laundry.
  • clocky pants
    One-sided
Very one-sided, typically presents a mis-shaped, non-objective version of reality.

    Cutting off early
The last two days the final ad starts before the final story has aired and cuts off an interview. Can you guys fix this? I’m only getting 4.5 Things!

    Liberal confirmation bias
Brief bite of yesterday’s news but interviewees are decidedly liberal without conservative rebuttal. Having three liberal interviewees on the same episode? Really? I just wish for independent middle of the political road journalism. I do not wish to hear from either extremes of the political spectrum. If this podcast continues leftist slant then I will seek a replacement. I suppose lefties just want to hear what they already believe thus the confirmation bias. Then USA Today edits out Stacy Abrahm’s op ed to leave out her calls for boycott after MLB move all star game actually hurting the small minority businesses at the stadium! Two faced Stacy now asking for sports events to return. I’m not up for this koolaid anymore. If you’re a lefty stick around as this podcast will feed you more opinion journalism masquerading as news telling you what lefties want to hear. Addendum: 7/17/21 once again woke lefties interviewed again without rebuttal. Such a one sided interview. Hey if you’re a lefty this is the podcast for you! Because y’all are always right! If lefties didn’t have a double standard they would have no standards at all!

    Progressive unreality perpetuated
9-2-23 Update: BLM discussion typifies attitude. A white leftist book author is interviewed in depth on Policing of Blacks and core issues are ignored. If Blacks commit 5-10 more crimes per capita than whites, won’t they have proportionally more interactions with police and proportionally more chances for an unintended death? Why would anyone expect police interactions with Blacks and Whites to have similar per capita numbers of bad outcomes? That is only likely if: 1. Blacks change Their culture and greatly reduce crime rates or 2. Police ignore Black crime and don’t interact. Additionally, the Media policing double standard was not mentioned, ie zero tolerance for Black mishaps (as they are all presumed to be racism) but White mishaps are ignored. 5 Things, like all Commercial Media, carefully avoids discussing reality in favor of their own invented unreality. My prior critique: the Podcast is evolving. In summer 2022, leftist pieces began appearing on a near daily basis. Reporters seem cheerful and they try to use non-pejorative language. They tend to only cover subjects that liberals care about. eg no statistics on southern border infiltration. Biden family influence pedaling is uninteresting. Equality issues are only important if affecting their preferred groups. Republicans are misbehaving when they do exactly what Democrats do. Victimhood equates to heroism, etc As with all organized media, the information that people could use to help themselves is carefully avoided. eg: Greatly reduced risk of infectious disease death by fixing Vitamin D and mineral deficiencies. Processed foods that are engineered to cause obesity could be identified and avoided. They Focus on irrelevant and distracting issues instead.

    Sad and disgusting show
Almost every single comment is slanted and spun toward a narrative of divide, racial, political, opinionated narrative that undermines all true journalism desires. It is so disgusting and sad that our country and those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice are being lied to daily and a false narrative spews out of the mouths of those that control what we hear, over, over and over again. Wake up America and don’t listen to the programming. Disgusted.

  • Like-I-said
    Love your podcast
I enjoy your news format by the way it hits the highlights of the day’s most important news stories. The only thing I would change is the musical introduction. It sounds like a child pounding on the piano which is the last thing I want to hear when I wake up in the morning.

Content is ok but news is biased
I like to hear the news just to get some brief about latest news but sometimes the news analysis is dragged longer. Some news or topics are biased, instead of giving news or introducing a leader sometimes they add what they thought or they are intended to communicate without any real justification. I believe responsibility of a news channel is just providing a news and it’s content, people are smart and they can judge right or wrong. There are lot of different ways to find out the truth, please don’t impose what you think is right.
  • Mayhm66
Maybe just Sundays but too biased for honest people
Very one sided and biased opinions reported as fact. Not a bad source if it’s one of your center left options to balance other objective sources and center right. Definitely not objective content presentation
  • MR116$
    Clarity?
I like this podcast but I think it needs to be clear about the E Jean Carroll case. Isn’t the case that’s being hurt now with civil court about whether or not that was rape? Wasn’t he defamation suit delayed? Aren’t they two different things? Don’t they red to be clear about which they’re talking about in order to give the case the importance it deserves?

    Grateful
For this show. The new is so MUCH to take these last 8 years and I used to be a news addict. I'm glad you guys pare it down to just what I need to know so I don't have to immerse myself in all the bad news. I start each day with you and then I listen to the funny, satirical news podcast Community News by Paul and Sasha to laugh. And it's much better for my emotional health and well being than when I used to watch hours and hours of CNN. Thanks

    Grooming of the uninformed.
I hear 1 good news tidbit followed by social engineering propaganda. Just report current events and stop trying to tell the weak minded how to think.
  • Yayayaya live
    Poor editing
The interviewer is not actually speaking to the reporters. Are they using pre-recorded questions and prompts and cutting them together with the interviews? Wow, the cuts are so choppy it’s unprofessional and makes it difficult to listen.

    Best Start to my day!
Every day I wake up and listen to this podcast as I am making my bed and starting my day. It keeps me in the know! I mostly appreciate that the topics are so wide and versatile, without a political affiliation. Often I listen to the news and get overwhelmed and a sense of hopelessness, but this podcast brings it all, which gives a nice balance to my intake of news.

This Pod I loved is changing…..and not necessarily for the better
Loyal listener for years. The past two days I missed hearing Taylor Wilson as the host. I realize everyone needs a few days off but I hope he’s back soon. Not the same show without him. On Friday’s show, the female voice , Sherie Saunders was not great. Maybe a good journalist but her voice is not made for radio. I had to turn it off after a few seconds and switch to NPR podcasts instead. Also noticing the great format of top 5 stories has changed. The whole point is to have a pod where we can get the top headlines in a concise and easy podcast. Some of the stories seem to be pushing more left and not the trusted middle ground of USA Today. Hope the changes are just temporary as this is my go-to morning pod that I have loved and listened to for years. It was great to have a trusted go-to daily podcast with a host I like that gave me what I needed to know without all the bias.

    What is a sober drink?
Good Morning, I just listened to your episode regarding sober drinking. Unfortunately, you left out some very important information regarding THC and CBD drinks. If a person has a job that randomly drug tests they could fail when using THC or CBD drinks. CBD is very unregulated and must be 3rd party tested to insure the trace amounts of THC within the CBD. Legal CBD must contain under .03 % of THC. If the person is using THC drinks they will likely have THC in a urinalysis test for 3 to 12 days. Just a reminder that while many states have legalized marijuana, many employers have not. Thank You guys for all the great pod casts. Enjoy your day, Nancy S.
