nnggcccvThe best spanish podcast, with one setbackIt is a very vocabulary rich podcasts, where everything is explained in great detail and clarity. And most importantly, it is interesting and keeps your attention. The only problem is that he spends a third of each episode talking about his friends language school that I don’t care about and will never go to, and this part is boring. So yeah, can be annoying having to skip ahead and find the precise moment the actual episode starts. But it is well worth the annoyance, because it really is the best spanish podcast. Would rather he just had normal ads like other podcasts, since those are easier to skip past, since they are consistently timed I would say it is a 6 star podcast, but I gotta knock off a star for the 8-10 minute fluff you have to skip past. ;)

Kdldlldlunderrated!this podcast is so underrated. i mean it does have high ratings. but it doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. very informative & the topics & people that are discussed are very interesting & well known in the spanish speaking world. i’m a sports fan so i really enjoyed the episodes about Pau Gasol, Manu Ginobli, & Carlos Alcaraz. i also enjoyed the episode about Bad Bunny also. I liked how they used a previous interview from Alcaraz that he did on a seperate podcast & since Alvarez speaks very fast. the narrator broke down his entire interview & dissected it for the listener to understand & on top of all that the transcripts are online for free. thank you very much & keep it up!

Jake MorseGreat podcast! The host picks very interesting interviews and helps you, the listener, understand the interviewee’s responses line by line. I recommend this highly to everyone interested in improving their Spanish!

Stason MetcalfExcelenteI’m a huge fan of this podcast. While the people being interviewed speak very fast for a basic level learner like me, the host does a great job of providing context and then breaking down what they are saying. The host speaks slower (still pretty fast) but repeats himself and moves at a pace to make things understandable. He’s a good teacher. The interviews are generally very interesting and teach us about some parts of Spanish speaking culture (usually celebrity, entertainment or sports related). Very helpful.

Aria TengMy goal of listening to one episode a dayI have started listening to this podcast in March. I have set a goal of listening to one episode per day to improve my listening ability. I will reach my goal by Sept. 30. I believe my Spanish will improve a lot in six months. I highly recommend this podcast.

somewhere in Oregon USAdebería ser más conocidoEste podcast fue recomendado por mi profesora y de verdad es un tesoro. Felipe es como una guía personal, muy amable y paciente. Para los estudiantes de nivel intermedio se funciona perfectamente para mejorar la comprensión auditiva, profundizarse en la gramática y conocer a gente notable de todo el mundo hispanohablante.

MarinJimExcellent for improving your SpanishFelipe Galán’s Se Habla Español podcasts (and YouTube videos) are excellent. They provide short interviews with fascinating people - writers, actors, politicians, athletes, etc. Felipe then clearly explains new vocabulary, concepts, accents, colloquial speech and more. The podcasts are perfect to improve your Spanish, your listening skills, and a fun way to learn about culture and interesting people. Best for intermediate to advanced students…I encourage you to listen, click “Like” and/or give a positive review, and, if possible, join Patreon or make a donation, so that Felipe can continue his outstanding work.

John Stryker03People SpeakThis podcast is really wonderful because you hear native Spanish speakers speaking naturally. The host does a wonderful job of explaining phrase by phrase what the person is saying. I have learned a lot from this podcast and recommend if you’re Spanish level is decent enough to follow along.

TwolfvaGreat podcast!I have listened to many different podcasts for the purpose of improving my self-taught Spanish. This is by far the best. The episodes are interesting, just the right length and come with free transcripts. This is a great service. Gracias.

KuriokonA great resource to improve intermediate SpanishSo much of what is available on the App Store and in podcasts are aimed at beginners. This podcast is all in Spanish. It is interesting and educational. The European Spanish is clearly spoken; the accent of the host is pleasant. This podcast is highly recommended for those who want to achieve C-1 or C-2 in Spanish ability.

jjh8668Absolutely top-shelfI love the format of the podcast. Felipe presents a diversity of voices and breaks down the interviews into bite-sized chunks, helping the listener understand exactly what was said and what it means. Plus, the transcriptions are completely free. I'd consider myself an advanced intermediate learner of Spanish. I'm actually learning to speak Colombian/Venezuelan Spanish, but that doesn't stop this podcast from being incredibly helpful.

momo6591One of the best podcasts for students of SpanishThis podcast is at the top of my list. Felipe does an excellent job of explaining the challenging parts of each interview segment. It's obvious he puts a lot of thought and work into this product. I truly appreciate his efforts!

HablanteExceptional Spanish PodcastThis is one of the best Spanish learning podcasts I have found. In it you get to hear many different Spanish speakers talk and then it is all explained in very clear Spanish using synonyms. If you are new to Spanish, and this seems advanced, bookmark it because eventually you will want these podcasts. Seriously, these podcasts will accelerate your learning of the Spanish language.

CrystalSophiaReally GreatI am currently taking Spanish courses and find it hard to try to catch up to the Spanish you might hear in a television program. Listening to this pod cast the narrorator presents a monologue that is given by a notable spanish speaker. He then very carefully and slowly breaks down the meaning bit by bit completely in Spanish. I really feel it helps to be able to digest and catch up to understanding the fast pace of native spanish speakers. I would strongly suggest this to intermediate spanish speakers.
-
TheoloriccaGreat educational toolI teach Spanish at an American college and will be incorporating several of these episodes in a new course on contemporary Spanish culture. Just perfect for intermediate/advanced students. ¡Gracias!

Raging NarcisistPerfect for intermediatesSeñor Galan has develped a unique and useful format for intermediate learners of spanish who struggle with listening comprehension. 5 stars and highly recommended for anyone who has listened to something like Notes in Spanish and or worked with an app like Duolinguo.

TSheaffImportante para míMuchisimas gracias señor por su trabajo con este podcast. Me ayuda subir el nivel de mi español cada vez 🙏🏻
-
SpinnityGreat practice!Felipe Galan uses snippets from public interviews to explore synonyms, explanations and other ways of expressing phases in Spanish. His approach is a great example for me as an intermediate learner: it is always possible to find another way to say something. I am looking forward to the continuation of the series after the "vacaciones de agosto" 2015.
-
steeplechaser29Me gusta mucho!Gracias a Felipe por este podcast muy bueno! He does a great job of explaining the meaning behind a famous person's statement - without using any English to do so. It isn't for beginners in the language, but intermediate students can probably follow along and learn something and advanced students can learn about accents from all over Spain and test their knowledge with a recording of a native speaker who is speaking for other native speakers.
-
BrittCrocegenial :)Me ha gustado mucho. Gracias por tu esfuerzo, Javier! Voy a seguir escuchando :)
-
sph01¡Excelente!This is a great way for students with at least intermediate-level skills to improve their listening comprehension and learn about famous people from Spain. The analysis of real-life interviews is an engaging approach and exposes the listener to a variety of accents.
