wedghjijgddvnnkhvvStop with the book promoOk! I get it! Gretchen has a book coming out. I listened to one episode and wanted to tear my hair out
-
DizzyDoll5So smart! This podcast is hosted by two incredibly intelligent women who lead good discussions about so many aspects of life. Listening to it is such a positive way for me to spend my time. The only thing that drives me absolutely bonkers is how Gretchen interacts with a guest when they are interviewing that guest. The noises she makes as an active listener are really annoying. She says “mmm” and “ahhh” to much. I generally skip over the parts of any episode or Gretchen is interviewing someone. I feel like she either needs to use words like “ok” or “yes” instead of grunts/noises, or maybe just not say anything at all and let the guest continue talking without interruption.
-
Trixie’s DadMakes Me SadderI used to really enjoy this, but I just think it’s run its course. Their ideas now are either unattainable, just impractical, or solely intended to sell their branded products based on the entirely made up 4 tendencies framework. And so many ads!

Hessie NAll the feelsBest listen . Always love my bi weekly dose of happier . Such great advice with very spanle recommendations ….

Annie8579643;$Taking a breakI’m a big fan and long time listener, but I’m taking a break until the ads supporting Bezos have run their course.
-
phl@16Sponsored by BetterHelp?I’m giving this podcast a happiness demerit for their partnership with BetterHelp, a company that has faced lawsuits for unethical practices, including mishandling user data and questionable therapist qualifications. It’s frustrating to see Happier promote a service with such a problematic track record, especially when mental health care should be handled with care and integrity. Please do your research when it comes to sponsors you give glowing reviews about. I seriously doubt Gretchen and Liz would use BetterHelp for their own therapy.
-
Ren AnnetteThank you for the crocodile storyReally appreciate your story about the villagers and the crocodile—timely! Got it.
-
NicetameetchyaSimply FabulousI’ve been following Gretchen and Liz since the beginning. Their work on this show is thoughtfully produced, marvelously organized, and beautifully delivered. Gretchen: you done good with your latest crocodile parable! Thanks to you both for making myself happier!
-
meridithhelmsMy favorite podcastI love listening to Gretchen and Liz each week. When I discovered their podcast I quickly fell in love and decided to become a completer. I have tried many of their suggestions and definitely think they have added to my happiness level. I especially love the one minute rule! So easy and yet I had never thought about it.
-
Crowing HenHappier is my favorite podcast!Gretchen and Elizabeth always hold my interest. I have learned so much about myself and my world—wide range of topics around the hub of happiness. 10 years of happiness from this show!
-
DragonslsayerBy far my favorite podcast!Liz and Gretchen show up each week with unfailingly great content. This show is like having two more sisters that get you thinking about life, decisions, what works and doesn’t work in your life. If I know I’m going to need a lift I will save an episode to listen to - it always does the trick. Thank you, Liz & Gretchen!
-
Pittgirl1222Makes Me HappierI love this podcast and always look forward to it. Gretchen and Liz are real people trying things out and reporting back. I was inspired to write this review (many years into listening) after hearing Gretchen talk about the pamphlet guide to France. Me too. Better days ahead!
-
Shannon GaNunPositive VibesI have been listening to the show for years and I look forward to it every week. I love the helpful information and positive vibes.

GmaCisPodcast and peace!!I have been listening to this podcast for two years now. I am in the third act first chapter of my life. This podcast having me a starting point to start this next season. The greatest gift came out life in five senses where I chose a color for the year along with a scent. Never in my wildest dreams did I think carrying a yellow lemon around would open me up to embrace the next and most important season of my life. The season where I pull everything together, it’s where I get to decide what kind of lemonade I want to make with my lemons. I would have never seen such a clear picture without the podcast. Love you ladies, your both a gift in a millions way. With lots of love. I am a yellow lemon red sunglasses turtle on the sand woman in midlife living her best life.
-
ReadNJAlways relevant and interestingI love this podcast by sisters living on opposite coasts who grew up in the Midwest! It’s down to earth and practical and just the right length for a little pick-me-up. The advice is both useful and paradigm-shifting.
-

M. HighlandA wonderful sisterhood :-)Dear Gretchen and Elizabeth. I want to thank you both for your friendship. I have been listening to your show almost six months now and wish I found you sooner. I have enjoyed your insights into everything from your views on our society and your suggestions on books and interesting subjects for research. You are truly a source of comfort and it is so joyful to listen to your library of past episodes throughout my day. Wishing you and your families much heath and happiness. It would be wonderful to see you both on a discussion tour. Your friend, Hariah

n3latchA breathe of fresh air! There are so many tough things in life, this provides me with so much simple pleasure. I read the Happiness project years ago and absolutely fell in love with Gretchen’s writing and did my own Happiness Project. When I saw the podcast I was interested to extend this excitement and my own personal journey for growth and happiness evolution. Thank you for such a fun, informative way of diving in and helping to figure out what helps us reach our aims and get to know ourselves better.
-
ArtDigest457Inspiring!I always get new ideas and remarkably, they are often ideas for something I’ve been thinking about!

Fan from MIMy favorite podcast!I love the banter between the sisters - it reminds me of being with my own sister. I always come away with something to think about or tweak in my own life. I look forward to Wednesdays when the episodes air.
-
Reader JillSuch a fun podcast!I’ve been listening since the beginning and this is a great podcast. It's light hearted, and I really enjoy the banter between Gretchen and Elizabeth. I love the 'try this at home' tips and have been using some of them in my own life. And it's great that it's not full of grandiose plans, but little tweaks that can improve your daily life, and that listeners share their insights on things. My favorite podcast by far.
-
sheptjillA favorite podcastOne of my top podcasts! I look forward to new episode releases every week. It is both informative and enjoyable.
-

-
KewybellyCalmingSuch a great mix of practical and thought provoking. A non-stressful, easy constant in my life for the past few years.
-
travelgrl4024 Pleasing thingsThe 24 list of things that please Gretchen made me think she must come to Chicago! Visit the Thorne Miniature room at the Art Institute. It is so pleasing! Miniature doll house sized rooms decorated from different periods of history. They are beautiful! Also the Art Institute is one of the best museums ever. And Gretchen can ride the El trains to get around. The perfect elevated experience of the city life and scenery. Next, plan a trip to Japan. Japan is known for having crazy stuff in vending machines! Check out some youtube videos it is so fascinating. Great episode!
-
TurbofiddlerI Always Learn Something New!I’ve been listening to Happier for years and find that there is always a nugget to take away. Sometimes it’s something the hosts suggest and other times a listener shares an idea that resonates with me. Either way, it’s nice to listen to a podcast that is actively nudging me upwards in life!
-
KellypaqSmileI’ve been listening to this podcast since their first episode. It never fails to put a smile on my face and always gives me something worthwhile to think about.
-
ErinBazToo many commercialsGreat stuff but so many commercial breaks it is hard to stay invested in what they are saying
-
L from FairfaxThanks for the great content!I so enjoy the Happier podcast with Gretchen and Liz. They have a great way of relating to their listeners that makes us feel like friends! Always some interesting take aways, recommendations and insights. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on adding more joy to everyday life!
-
FacebookUserGrowth isn’t always goodI really used to enjoy this podcast, but as time has gone on. These podcasters promote ideas that require a LOT of money. They are blind to the majority of people who can’t go to a museum everyday, or purchase a second home. People have to work! The number, length and choice of sponsors are all awful, but the coup de gras was the change in Gretchen’s intonations. She needs to get a better voice coach. Not every sentence is over the top exciting. Moving on to not waste my time on this podcast which doesn’t make me happier.
-
ampljf2000I love this podcastI’ve been a regular listener and know that the habits challenges have changed my life. I am a reader and blood forward to the read 25 in 25 challenge!!
-
OhhMissBelieverUnhappy podcastWhy is a person who is a self proclaimed kill joy, know it all, & perfectionist telling anyone what to do to be happy? Gretchen is telling us to get rid of clutter and reusable bags until she gets paid from Lands End to do their ADS . The election happened so when is your scream sesh? Are you organizing a liberal cry event? Lets us know
-
Melissa M2M8 years later … still tuning inPodcasts seem to come and go on many people’s listening list. Gretchen and Elizabeth seem to be standing the test of time on my podcast roster.
-
T&GMomLong time listenerI have been listening since the beginning. I love the advice and information. But the ads are getting out of control. I find myself listening to this one last in my weekly roundup as I have to be available to skip forward though the ads.
-
Clary’s MomI was looking forward to itOpted out quickly.. too many ads
-
Live MadlySisterhood and Wisdom = MagicI LOVE this podcast! This podcast is amazingly varied in the discussion of happiness and health. I love that the sisters are non-judgmental and allow you to feel human and normal for not being perfect. I like the emphasis on looking at who we each are as individuals and applying the right mechanisms and habits to make ourselves happier. There is no one right way. I love that! Gretchen and Elizabeth provide endless catharsis for me. If I am panicking or having a bad day, this cheery, heartfelt, charming and practical podcast can help shift my mood and get me focused on what I can do. Love!
-
ChefAnnetteToo many ads!!I’ve been a faithful completist listener since episode one. I’ve maintained giving a 5-star rating the whole time. But I feel like the past year or so has been increasingly disappointing because the time allotted to ads and promotions is nearly equal to the content and on the Little Happier episodes it is often MORE than the actual show! I would go as low as 3 stars but I still look forward to listening, just not to having to have my finger on the fast forward button all the time
-
paigeamberbacaniHouse TrustThis podcast is SO FUN!! What a beautiful concept! An ENTIRE podcast about happiness!! Simply listening to the two of you value one another and giggle makes me want to continue sharing happiness with those around me!! Please continue this sweet podcast, I really loved hearing about “house trust” and new traditions! So much joy here!!
-
Heidi JeanToo many adsDay one listener and the ads are really starting to be off putting. I feel like every episode there’s more. To be interrupted every 10 minutes for multiple ads is wild to me. The info is not so profound that I’m willing to put up with it much longer. I may be at the tipping point for this show. I’d rather have one extra long set of ads in the middle.
-
eamwilliamsSo many ads! This short little podcast has so many ads! I wanted to continue listening but I just can’t deal with having to fast forward so often in a 30 min podcast
-
MoreMustardMy OG podcastI was a fan of Gretchen Rubin before the podcast started. I’ve listened since episode 1 aired and never miss an episode. This podcast is the reason I got into podcasts. I love hearing from Gretchen and Liz. All of the content is fun, actionable, and insightful.
-
QuillPig msInsightful and InformativeI’ve learned so much about myself and how to relate to others.
-
katherined6991My go to podcast in good times & badI look forward to this podcast every week. Savoring listening to past episodes. Enjoy the life hacks and tips. Most of all appreciate the positivity and encouragement to ‘choose the bigger life’.
-
catcoolAn essential and fun part of my week! The hacks are helpful, and I appreciate and use those. But the positivity and can do attitude is refreshing in an increasingly negative point in time. Middle age has its challenges, so it is great to hear these successful women talk candidly about their lives. Because I live nowhere near either New York or LA, I appreciate a peak into two lives that are so different than mine.
-
Michelle GimLove this podcastThis is so much fun and helpful! Gretchen and Liz have helped change my life and find more happiness. Lots of useful tips and hacks too!
