    Why
Why is every episode someone getting r@p*d?? And the reenactments???? Honestly I cannot listen to this channel anymore

    Can’t
I can’t listen to a pod that allows ads like dove soap that think America hates black people. It’s stupid to think that landlords won’t rent to people based on their hair style. So asinine.

    Grating voice
I enjoy the stories but cannot stand the sound or Erin Moriarty’s voice. It makes me want to stick chopsticks in my ears. PLEASE PLEASE get her voice off the podcast. It’s horrendous.

    Mid level
I come when I run out of new episodes of my favorite shows.. I do love the reporting, but the music is loud and doesn’t coincide with the moment well.

    Background sounds
What’s with all the horrible background music and sounds. It’s terrible and interferes with the story.

    Stories are interesting but..
the music is too loud and too annoying. Think I’ll just delete this show..

Turning off this podcast because the music is stupid

The Baby is always a problem?
I’m all in with the story, but I’m tired of these ignorant uneducated people saying such dumb things as “everyone knows the baby of the family is always a problem” , what a ridiculous blanket statement.

    Railroad Killer story
This is a horrifying crime. The song you put under this episode is creepy and inappropriate.

    Way too overly produced!
The music, sound bites, and background sounds completely diminish the overall experience. Dateline is the benchmark for me when it to comes to true crime reporting.

Great stories ruined by ads and awful theme music
The way too frequent ads has become so annoying I don’t want to listen to what should be a great podcast. Also the theme music has always made me grit my teeth.

I almost shut it off- Disingenuous music playing throughout!!!!!
So devastating and so inspiring. What courage and strength. I may stop listening to any episodes that have the music running through it. It is very annoying and takes away from the story of the survivor telling her story. The music seems disingenuous.

    Live to tell
Story was interesting , however the constant inappropriate music was distracting and way to loud. The music did not enhance the drama of this story, it felt like a cheap horror movie.

    Music
I love most of the content… the added music is so annoying and adds nothing …

    Live To Tell
I love listening to 48 hrs podcasts and look forward to each episode. The music and sound effects played throughout this episode ruined it for me. I wanted to hear the survivor’s story, however had to turn it off because the music was so annoying. If I wanted to listen to music I would be listening to music instead of podcasts. Very disappointed!

Please change your approach to music/sound effects
I’m listening to Live to Tell: The Railroad killer You guys NEED to approach the music differently. The woman who keeps singing “ahhhhhh” & played over and over is super annoying. The dramatic music is so over the top, you don’t need to make it so theatrical. Your podcast is fine but the music is cringey.

    Sound Effects
    Railroad killer had obnoxious singing.

Stop the stupid music in the background
I can't listen to this podcast anymore. I tried to listen to the story about the girl and her friend who were attacked on the railroad, and the etheral, ghostly music in the background was so distracting and disrespectful of the victim telling her story. They do this all the time in their podcasts. Stop, already!

    Fire the editors
The stories are compelling, but the editing and sound are atrocious.

    Distracting music
The stories and content is good but the loud unrelated music is very distracting. It almost seems disrespectful to the survivors telling their stories.

    Strang music and sounds
Why wreak these peoples story’s. The last lived episode is terrible. So much random noises and singing that doesn’t fit in. Too bad because these people’s story’s need to be heard. But I can’t hear it here.
  • atlanticus
    Sound effects…
Why the unnecessary sound effects and music? Not only does it distract from the story, it’s also at a volume that makes it even more of a nuisance. Not to mention the fact that it’s completely corny and even cringey. The latest episode, RR Killer, is one of the most egregious examples of this. I gave up after 10 minutes of screeching violin music completely overriding the speaker.

    Detective’s wife
As a jurist would have had my doubts about his guilt if he had said his wife was upset about the affair put a gun to her head to exemplify her distress and it accidentally went off instead of suggesting she had a suicidal disposition which doesn’t seem to be the case. Unfortunate they didn’t test her hair for gun residue. Definitely a hard call case.

    Bird cawing
Stop with all the horrible sound effects. That’s why the rating went down.
  • EthAlRyMom
    Sound effects
Seems some episodes have a lot of accessory sounds. It is a little over done at times. For example Tacoma Confidential- why the ransoms saxophone? And the bird cawing noise? But if you can get past that the stories are interesting and easy to follow.

    The synopsis tells it all
Not much mystery when the synopsis has all the story right there

    48 hours is the best
I listen to the one about OJ Simpson and I wonder if he would have been a white person if he would’ve been acquitted or if he’d been in jail for a very long time??????

    Subscriptions
Why am I paying for subscriber edition AND getting adds???? Not cool!
  • sommanita
Paid subscription & tons of ads
I paid for a subscription so I wouldn’t have to hear ads. My ad-free experience lasted a single day before the ads returned. Not sure what the issue is but it needs to be resolved before I am charged for another month.
  • Nav Saint
Ads as a paying subscriber? SCAM.
Why am I paying for an “ad-free” listening experience yet still hearing ads! FIX THIS.
  • Sensitive listener
The stories are good but too many loud commercials!
Like many others, I use earbuds to listen to podcasts. It’s very unpleasant to listen to the story content, then have the commercials start blasting in volume. Also they are very few commercials that are constantly repeated over and over throughout months of the series. Give us a break and monitor the volume difference between content and commercials. I’ve switched to different programs that have far fewer commercials. And no, don’t ask me to pay for commercial-free content. I can’t afford it.
  • The bro could purple.
    Commercials are 30% of content
The amount commercial breaks are a lot. Too many. It ruins the story. I think they want you to pay for no commercials but I’d rather pick another one to listen to

I thought that there was to much music and background. The narrater was a bit annoying. The story’s were slow going and just not for me.

    Post Mortem
Ridiculous that the Post Mortem episodes begin with a recap of the podcast from the previous day. Try following Dateline's lead – – they tell you in the first five seconds that if you haven't listened to the podcast yet or seen the episode, go listen to it and then come back. They don't waste time in their "Talking Dateline" telling you what the episode from the day before was about. Then again, there's a lot you could learn from Dateline.

    Revisionist history on Menendez Bros
Done with this show. Not only degrading to victims. Now condoning a totally revised narrative based on Tik Toks by people who hadn’t been born in 1988. Disgusted

    Commuter entertainment
I don’t get much “down time” to watch TV- but this has really helped me feel like I’m not out of touch from the world during these long winter days. I listen on my way to work , and back. Driving to the gym, heck- even while working out!

“They’ll eat each other” - Heath Ledger’s The Joker
If you’ve ever wondered why the country is so divided and people don't trust their neighbors anymore look no further. These scam artists make fake true crime shows like this, and are some of the most despicable money hungry fame chasing gas bags in existence. One day someone will make it a podcast called “all the innocent people that 48 Hours sent to prison.” The scum-buckets that present this show are bunk TV hosts, not journalists. Peter Van Want, Erin Moriarty, and their cohort of slimy smile reality show wannabees prey on your fear to make money. Pay if you want. But I don't want to have this kind of garbage on my conscience or my playlist.

    Background music is too loud
Moriarty and her drawl gets on my nerves, I have to play at higher speed to be able to get through the episode. Also the background music is very loud and so many ads are annoying. The stories are very good but I just can’t get engrossed. Try listening them as you go to sleep to see how the music and ads are jarring to listen to
  • 24Maybay
    Music to loud
I am often relaxing when listening until the music kicks in! I feel it is way to loud and the intro's are especially loud

    Post Mortem: Amie Harwick
I very much enjoy 48 hours and have for a number of years, so my comment isn't so much a criticism as it is a suggestion. I just listened to the Post Mortem for this show, and the participants seem to say "you know" over and over - many of them. I wonder if you might go through it and count the number of times they say "you know." It is not only superfluous, it is annoying. These are professionals and I enjoy them, but it is distracting to listen to. Thank you.
