    Great Variety for All
I am a strong 60 year old, married mother of 4 kids and currently have 4 grandkids but that number keeps growing.😉 I started listening to the Well Beyond 40 podcast over 2 years ago. Like JJ, I have been working out since high school and I played competitive sports. Since I started listening I have become a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach. (I am not current working but earned the certifications for the knowledge). I greatly appreciated the wide variety of subjects covered in your podcast. I also like that some podcasts are on single topics, so short - 15 minutes. There are also guests who are experts in their field and there is more detailed information presented. Great variety! More functional health experts please!!! I would love to see more about encouraging others - friends, children spouses to exercise. Of our 4 adult kids we have marathon runners, an Orange Theory Coach, a former D1 football player and a competitive cross fitter. This is no accident.👍 Keep up the good work and keep bringing on smart guests! P.S. I have shared many of your podcasts with friends and #1 Shared are about creatine!!!

Gundry? JJ, do you believe plant foods are unhealthy? You’ve lost real credibility. I’ve enjoyed some of your info but this is an unfollow for me.

    Dr. Gundry
I have loved all your past podcasts as I always leave with many takeaways. Unfortunately Dr. Gundry was very boring and I got absolutely nothing out of this podcast. Would not recommend.

    A valuable resource!
As a woman approaching her 40s, I have found JJ’s podcast to be sooo helpful to navigate health and aging. I appreciate the practical advice, the expertise her guests bring to the table, and the support. You really wouldn’t need to listen anywhere else!

    Unsubscribe
As an elite triathlete in perimenopause, I was excited to find someone who seemed knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition. The podcast is terrible. Most episodes are unending ad reads, and the advice is completely unrealistic for a person with a job and family who simply wants to be more healthy. Skip this pod. It’s not worth the time.

    Where’s the podcast?
I heard JJ on another podcast and her message resonated so much that I immediately subscribed to her podcast, only to unsubscribe soon thereafter because I do not want to listen to ad upon ad in the first five minutes before she even gets to her subject.

    So many ads!!
A podcast episode 15 minutes long with 5 different sponsors totaling about 6.5 minutes is insane. Good information I guess but you don’t get a lot for the amount of time the podcast is since a third of it is advertisements.

    Informative , Engaging & Fun
I love JJ’s podcast. She has amazing guests each week with relevant topics to discuss. JJ is a fun and very bright person who has decades of experience in the fitness and nutrition industry. Her guests are experts in all kinds of subjects from injury recovery to exercise for muscle mass building, menopause, supplements, sleep, and more. Her guests are all very interesting and knowledgeable. I know that JJ spends time in vetting her guests, studying them and preparing her questions for them. All this distills into a Big Win for the listener. Thanks, JJ!

Beyond Hot Flashes - aka infomercial
Basically an infomercial for estrogen cream! In this podcast women are encouraged to buy an in regulated estrogen substance! Seriously disappointing - taking advantage of women going through a challenging time in their lives.

Sleep is a beautiful thing and only in the last few months due to HRT have I been able to sleep!! Im looking into a CGM and ordered the book Good Energy. I’ll definitely be listening to this episode again. Sooooo much to hear and it felt a bit like a lighthouse for me during this overwhelming, confusing and stressful time for me. Thank you!! ♥️

    Add and Dangerous Information
This podcast has transitioned into a series of advertisements and dangerous health advise. Some guests are great, some are dangerous, and some are snake oil salesman.

    Life Changing!
I’m a 49 year old female breast cancer survivor. Treatment for my cancer put my body into premature menopause. Fast forward seven years and I have thin hair, am balding. I’m told it’s just aging. My bloodwork indicates high glucose and potassium, I’m told to watch my diet. I restrict and restrict foods high in potassium (broccoli, nuts, etc.-I thought broccoli was healthy!), exercise everyday single day and still my numbers are high. I start to have issues with my heart. Cardiologist isn’t sure why. I won’t even mention the reproductive area (you know). I’m miserable. I know something is not right but don’t know what it is. Doctors make me feel like it’s either normal aging, my diet, or just don’t know what’s wrong. In comes JJ Virgin! BAM! IT’S NOT ME! Every single ailment I have brought to my numerous doctors in my efforts to feel better have been explained in JJ Virgin’s podcast. I can’t tell enough women about it! Be your own advocate and start listening now!!! Right now!!! Listen while you lift weights! ;-)Thank you JJ!

    Useful Podcast!
The Well Beyond 40 Podcast is a must for all ages. Yes, its for women over 40 but there is a lot of great information to help you stay healthy well into the future. JJ offers advice that she herself uses and list references to it. I am so glad I found this podcast and I am seeing changes with what I have but into practice so far.

    Magnesium
I enjoyed the recent podcast about Magnesium deficiency. I get leg cramps at night and J.J. gave her tip to help relieve that symptom. (Magnesium lotion.) I am definitely going to try that as well as some of her other recommendations. Thanks.

    Accessible info + implementation tips
JJ is amazing at giving info, whether in her books, podcast, or YT videos. My favorite thing is that she does so with heart while keeping everything data-driven. She doesn’t talk down to her audience, and she gives helpful tips on how to make improvements to your health - for today and long-term.

Top choice for women over 40
JJ Virgin’s podcast is a must-listen for anyone serious about taking control of their health after 40. JJ’s no-nonsense approach, combined with her deep expertise, makes every episode both educational and engaging. Whether she’s interviewing top experts or sharing her own tips on nutrition, fitness, and mindset.

    Too many commercials
I have been listening to this podcast for a long time. I absolutely love JJ Virgin’s wisdom and presentation, but the sponsorships at the beginning are getting to the ridiculous point! While I understand you need sponsors to be able to continue a great podcast, 6+ minutes at the beginning of the podcast is past what I can handle. Is there no way to do some at the beginning and some at the end? Other than that, outstanding information is provided here, as well as the YouTube channel.

    Wealth of information
Loving JJ’s podcasts, especially the ones discussing hormones. It is appalling that there are so few studies addressing women specific needs. I am 72 years old and one of the lost generation being excluded from getting hormone therapy. Thank you,JJ, for highlighting the need for more studies for women and hopefully motivating the experts to pursue solutions to help us. In the meantime I continue to struggle to be the best I can be now and appreciate her guidance.

    Excellence always
JJ is, in my opinion, one of the very best in the business of health information. She researches and puts together the best information for us to apply to our lives. I also use it as I help others as a Personal Trainer and Health Coach. I truly look forward to her shows. Keep up the great work! And thank you.

    No longer a fan
After following and listening to JJ for years (nearly 300 podcasts downloaded and played), I’m sad at what this podcast has become. The supplement “advertising” is out of control. Almost every episode sounds the same—same exercise and nutrition advice, same supplement recommendations, and same opinions on what works for everyone. When there are guests on the show, JJ talks more than she interviews. I think she’s great, but it’s clear that she thinks she’s the greatest.
  • Tetyate
    Supplements advertising
Sadly, some of the most recent episodes focus on nothing else but supplements advertising.
  • The Boldtsss
    Yuck
I have been noticing more and more unethical, over the top promises from the ads. I don’t believe that any of those products have completely changed the game for you and I think it’s dishonest to say that it has.
  • LindaMiz
Love you …. Truly an inspiration..
JJ , I’ve been following you for years… love you… I’ve been struggling with wanting to give you constructive criticism— I will to listen to your pod no matter what regardless…but might stick with the solo episodes🤷‍♀️ We all know your amazing stories and all you’ve accomplished in your life. It’s at the point where I know when you are about to break into a JJ story when you are interviewing an amazing guest. The interruption breaks the flow of the interview. I get a one on on convo— but this is an interview of the guest. Chiming in with everything isn’t necessary in my humble opinion. Something you might want to work on. With love, Linda

    Great podcast!
This podcast is a great podcast! I’m 53 & post menopausal so love all the information about weight loss. I consider myself healthy because I eat healthy & exercise. I’ve learned a lot listening to this podcast. I like how most of them are short and they’re some hour long ones, too. Thank you so much.

    My favorite podcast
As a 53 year young woman, this podcast is my go to for how to keep healthy and feeling young. JJ has shown me that age is just a #. This podcast is full of hope I feel empowered!
  • Cee_Senn
    Great content, with a caveat
JJ is brilliant and her guests are fantastic. Just a warning, though, that the solo episodes are better (despite the fantastic guests) because she interrupts so often. What makes for lively conversation between 2 people in person doesn’t work for the listeners or the recording. It’s incredibly distracting and often lessens the amount of knowledge we gather from the guests. But she really knows her stuff.
