So back to the second book why does the basilisk not kill Olive Hornby because she is in the room with moaning Myrtle and the basilisk kills Myrtle but not Olive?

I really love this show and every discussion but I would like to say that JK was not being trans phobic, she was expressing concern over women's rights as a woman. At the same time, you cannot "distance" your podcast from the author that wrote the book you're talking about. Again I love the podcast but I'm here for the magic of HP, not politics.

My fave book is prince and my fave movie is prisoner😭😭😭 Lol. This was a good show for me for a little while, but as a teenager I’m getting more and more responsibilities and less and less time to fawn over Harry Potter, so this podcast isn’t as fun anymore😭 I only listen occasionally, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad show.😉 Even though I don’t agree with their political opinions, they are still entertaining, funny, and informative! Thanks Andrew, Laura, Micah, and Eric for helping me with boredom for a short season of my life🥰😂 also (I know this was a while back), but Micah seriously has a sexy voice😭😭😭🤣

I love the old school Mugglecast! I have been listening for a long time and I tune in every week. I am currently loving the chapter by chapter! I did just recently listen to your now pod “What’s the Hype” the Pixar episode. I loved it so much! It brought me back to my childhood. I am the same age as Andy from Toy Story (my favorite Pixar movies) so I have grown up with theses movies. Toy Story 3 hits HARD, and I will always believe it should have won the Oscar for Best Picture (not just best Animated). Can you please give us more Pixar on What’s the Hype? Maybe everyone can host their favorite movies. Thank you! P.S. Agree or disagree - “Onward” is the biggest sleeper in the Pixar catalog?

I have been a fan of Mugglecast since the beginning. I would listen while I took my dog Scarlet on long walks in the neighborhood. She is no longer with us but listening to Mugglecast gives me the warm fuzzy memories of being with her. I love ALL the hosts (Laura might be my fav but I would never say it). I started out barely being able to hear it in the car with my dad, then in 2024 I got the podcast app on my phone and Mugglecast was the first thing I listened to. I listen to it in the car, trips, nighttime, everywhere. I started all the way from episode one and I still have 600+ to watch. Though I live this, I wish there was a bottom to watch them all in order, like as I said I have more than 600 to watch, and I wish it could be practically hands free. I have to scroll down for awhile and then I have to remember which episode I left off on and so on. Overall I love this podcast keep going!

I love the fact that you guys have been around for so long! And have stayed true to your topic. Other podcasts in this space eventually ran out of stuff to talk about and just started talking about the things that they found interesting which is cool and amazing, but you guys have literally stuck with the same topic for almost 2 decades. with that said you mentioned in last weeks episode the audiobooks and how you had really never listen to them. As a blind child growing up in the 90s and early 2000s, these audiobooks specifically the Jim Dale recordings, though being blind, I actually have believe it or not, four separate audiobook recordings of each book because each library service for the blind has its own recording, but the Jim Dale recordings were so important to me as a kid. I am super excited about the new fully dramatized recordings, and I’d love to be a guest at some point when you guys discuss the audiobooks. But in your history, has there ever been an episode about them because I would love to hear takes on which narrator you guys prefer or preferred things like that. Thank you for everything you do and keep up the great work.

It’s good, I feel like it’s rlly, well bland. I listened to “dobby lobby” and got extremely board almost instantly. I feel like it would be a lot better if there was less assumption and if the pidcast speakers where in a British accent just because JK Rowling really is true to the British element of it.

This podcast never fails to bright up my day or make me happy. Im thankful for its in depth conversations and it helps others to understand Harry Potter . I love it so much🥰✨

I started to listen to podcasts during the pandemic, and my favorite by far has been MuggleCast. I’ve been a die-hard Harry Potter fan since the age of 10 (more than 20 years ago) and have never looked back. This podcast means the world to me and has been a source of comfort for me during some really dark times I’ve had the last few years. Every episode allows me to disappear into the magical world that I love so much, and for that, I will forever be grateful to the amazing hosts! I especially want to thank the girls takeover hosts who did the episode on motherhood, one of my favorite episodes, as I’m currently pregnant with my first child. It gave me a newfound sense excitement over the prospect of introducing my son to the best fandom on the planet. Thank you!

I LOVE this podcast and listen to it every day! I started listening to the podcast about 1-2 years ago, back at episode one. I was getting more interested in other series, (Hunger Games, Percy Jackson, etc.) so I did what any fan would do, and looked up some Harry Potter podcasts. MuggleCast was the first, so I picked it, scrolled down about 3 million episodes, and started at episode 1. Now, I am happily listening to episode 356! Thank you guys for rekindling my inner Potterhead!!

I’m discovering this podcast just now and I’ve listened to 3 episodes now 2 movie related and 1 book related and left wondering if they enjoy the content at all?! And they all agree with each other on the negative opinions thrown out which in the least makes for a boring listen. Rough listen. I’ll have to keep looking for my HP fix. Gave a two star since the audio quality was there at least.
