    Entertaining and so useful!
    If you’re considering or planning or in process of building your own house, this podcast is well worth your time. Even if you’re doing a major renovation, there is a lot of useful information here for you. And for building nerds (stand proud!) there’s a chance to learn lots about various eco-conscious construction methods. And somehow almost all of this is entertaining even while you’re learning.

    Never see a home the same way again.
    This podcast introduced me to passivhaus. That alone has made it an invaluable educational resource as I am working on my own self build.

    Great Podcast- Totally worth the time, even if you are an Architect!
    I am a recent graduate of Tomas O'Leary's Passive House Academy's Passive House Training. While I have no real world experience designing and having a Passive House Structure built yet, I am alway trying to learn more and came across this great podcast. My day job is an architect, and during the work day, I try to listen to a few episodes every day. I am only on Podcast 92 and am catching up quick! Ben's podcast will stimulate anyone who has a passion for the built enviroment, saving energy and reducing their carbon footprint. The questions and explanations by Ben and his guests are alway thoughtful and are in a manner that everyone can understands. I continually learn something from every podcast. Keep it up Ben, and let's spread the word on Passive House and good luck on building your own PH home! I also have that dream in the next few years as well.

    Fabulous
    Chiming in from the States, up North in the State of Maine. I love to listen to your podcast while I work out at the gym. I learn so much about modern house building. I just had my attic insulation in our house built in 1997 removed. We had the attic air sealed and then re-insulated because of your podcasts. Your podcasts are excellent. I highly recommend them.

    I love this podcast
    I'm a house contractor in the US and I've only started listening to your podcast and I've learned soooo much. I think you are doing an amazing thing here.

    Must listen & great back catalogue
    If you are interested in building, renovating, DIY or looking for a greener way to live this podcast is a must. Ben dives into the world of building and renovating with the key goal of finding better ways to do it. There is more than one way to skin a cat and there are even more ways to build a structure. This podcast looks deep into the different construction methods used around the world and highlights the best practices with guests that are experts in their field. Across most of the world building standards are just that "standard". To build a house to code isn't enough these days and this podcast is relevant regardless if you live in the USA, UK or New Zealand. The audio quality is great and the caliber of the content is faultless. I highly recommend this podcast! ! ! Also if you like this podcast you will also like "Home Style Green"

    Ben's podcasts are just the right length, and filled with relevant and current informaiton. His interviews are well thought out and ask the very questions that I'd want to ask. I've downloaded and listened to every one so far, and subscribed too. Although I'm listening from the US and building practices are different here, there's more than enough meaningful information and techniques that translate very well to where your house is, no matter what the country/climate. I commend Ben for his hard work and his service to the construction community: educating both home builders and homeowners on practical eco-friendly construction that is being implemented now.

    Very well done and worthy of your time
    I share Ben’s goal of building an energy-efficient home at some point in the (hopefully not too distant) future and have really enjoyed listening to this podcast. Many of the same questions I’ve had are addressed here, always in a thoughtful and concise manner. While at times the 30 minute time cap seems a bit short considering the expertise and enthusiasm of the interviewees, I do appreciate the podcast’s respect for my time as it never drags or stalls as many podcasts are want to do. Much obliged Ben, keep up the good work!

    Absolutely a must listen!
    Ben Adam-Smith host of this podcast is a wonderful man who knows how to interview quite well! He gets the questions answered I usually have, not being there. If you are looking for a good green building show, look no further than this. The topics range and the content is pertinent to creating your own build as green and smooth as can be! Enjoy the show, I sure am! (0;

    Hello from across the pond, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, USA. For anyone interested in learning about TRUE energy efficient homes and the planning involved to get from A to Z, this is the Podcast for you. I can relate to the journey that Ben is taking towards building his own Energy Efficient Home. I recently completed my own home here in the USA. I only wish I would have heard this Podcast prior to starting my EPA Energy Star and DOE Challenge Home. I have learned so much and look forward to my next build. Good luck Ben! I'm sure your future home will be amazing.
