    Homeschooling Fairy Godmothers
Whenever I am lacking motivation or feeling discouraged about our homeschooling journey I tune into the podcast or Julie’s Instagram for inspiration and reassurance. It is comforting to be able to hear words of wisdom from women who have been on this beautiful yet winding path and made it to the other side. I am truly grateful for the effort put into these free resources and the impact they have had on my mothering when I have needed them the most.

I’ll still listen when my kids graduate.
This podcast makes me happy. I’ve listened to a lot of episodes in a variety of topics but I think I’ll still listen (at least to the book reveals) even after my kids have graduated!

    The boundary episode!!!😍
Wow—just finished the boundary episode and I think it’s by far the best explanation of actual healthy boundaries and dealing with relationships that I’ve ever heard. Honestly just didn’t expect that on “Brave Writer”! I was just talking to my husband about all the things I did wrong as a young adult with my parents in the context of my own emerging young adult children, and how I want to act and react differently with/to them. This gave me a much clearer picture and even some much needed grace for my own season of life in light of what we’re all going through. Thank you, Julie, for such a timely, thoughtful episode. What a gift to us all this season.💝

Some gold nuggets mixed in with a whole lot of new age philosophy
Hard to listen through an entire episode without being exhausted from trying not to throw out the baby with the bathwater…

    Love her homeschool podcasts
I love Julie’s book The Brave Learner. Her book and also Call of the Wild and Free are what opened my eyes to the freedom and relationship joys of homeschool. The podcast really helped me in the early years of my homeschool journey. Thanks Julie

    Calm and comforting conversations
Although we are no longer homeschooling, I still enjoy listening to Julie’s calm and comforting wisdom. I also really admire that how she interviews other educators - even lesser known experts - and lifts up the whole community.

One of my favorite homeschool podcasts!
There is something about Julie and BraveWriter in general that is so comforting. I look forward to this podcast with every episode - I always end up refreshed, feeling like I really CAN do this. Julie is so very genuine and I am so very grateful that I stumbled upon her and her company several years ago. She has changed my family’s homeschool life for the better!

I so needed this episode right now!
Thank you for this!! I have a brilliant 8 year old who is curious about everything in the world and is always building and designing and asking big juicy questions, but as soon as I open a textbook and try to teach him what I’m supposed to he completely shuts down. I’m in the midst of rethinking my year and I think this will help. As always Julie’s podcasts come right when I need them:)

    Amazing!
Julie is my “guru” in all things related to homeschooling, parenting and awesome adulting. As someone who has homeschooled five kids, obtained advanced degrees, run (current) her own business, written multiple books, and done her own personal work to evolve as a human, Julie is a wealth of knowledge and wisdom! I love her podcast, especially on days when I am feeling most down and anxious. Her voice and message are uplifting and encouraging. Highly recommend!

Just listened to “one thing” episode and I feel so refreshed. As a new homeschool mom I want to do everything, and this podcast allowed me to relax and take it one thing at a time. Thank you Julie!

    WOW
I’m currently reading The Brave Learner and considering homeschooling so decided to checkout the podcast. I’m so glad Julie has started doing these shorter pep-talk episodes, they are so useful and inspiring. Every parent should listen to “Don’t Overthink it” regardless of your children’s educational background. I was in tears listening to her concise and wise insights. I will be tuning in more and more. Thank you, Julie!

    Relief at a core level
I am a sahm who homeschools off and on but I find myself coming back to this podcast again and again to remind myself that everything is ok, that I can’t STOP my kids from learning, and that the important thing is truly to enjoy the process. This podcast is simply magical.

    Disappointed
I usually love the homeschooling advice on this podcast, but this most recent episode on marriage and divorce was disappointing. The negative and bitter views on marriage were off topic (this is a homeschooling podcast) and honestly upsetting for a young mom that still views marriage as a beautiful gift from God. I picked a good man and I choose to work hard at my marriage and not give up. I am not going to subscribe to someone that pushes a view like this on others. I came here to learn how to teach my child to write.

    Honest
I am new to homeschooling and was so happy to find Julie’s podcast. I was overwhelmed and feeling inadequate searching through all the “perfect” homeschool blogs, Pinterest etc. Julie seems down to earth and realistic in her advice.

    Such a comfort
As a new homeschooling parent, I find such comfort and support in Julie’s words and even the sound of her calm, confident voice. She is real. She is honest. She is credible, having walked the walked for many years and lived to tell the tale! When I feel alone or not-enough in my homeschool, I remember that she’s cheering for me (and all of us!) and I find the courage to continue. Thank you, Julie!

    So many gems
This podcast has been so helpful. I’ve especially enjoyed the last couple seasons - even when I’m not homeschooling anymore. There are so many gems of wisdom that you can apply to your parenting, your adult life, your relationship with your kids. I learn so much listening to every episode!

Raised a homeschooler, and I needed this
I was raised a homeschooler, and as Julie says, just because you are raised as one doesn’t mean you know how to approach homeschooling your own children : ) I love the blend Julie brings between conscious, connected parenting and homeschooling, along with giving our children an education that leaves them prepared, AND getting to be an awesome adult doing adult things in the process. She is such an inspiration, and fuels my energy and enthusiasm for homeschooling with every episode!

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways...
Julie Bogart is this huge-hearted-homeschool-life-genius of a human being who not only knows her stuff in writing but knows her stuff in seemingly all areas of life. I honestly didn’t know what I was getting myself into when I pressed play on this podcast. Everything she says resonates with me in one way or another. Her advice is timeless. I want her to be a blood relative. Too weird?? Being new to homeschooling this year (yes, 2020) I had purchased her writing program for my daughter six months ago but haven’t used it yet. But, after just three episodes of Julie’s podcast under my belt, I’ll be diving into Brave Writer whole-heartedly, ASAP. Even two young kids in tow- an 8 year old and a 3 year old- she makes me feel like I can actually do this homeschool thing for the next infinity years! Thank you Julie! (Jennette Morris)

    Winning
This podcast single-handedly changed my view on homeschool 180 degrees... I have a new set of eyes and a new set of tools to use and our homeschool life has changed dramatically for the better. I now realize that just because public schools do things a certain way doesn’t mean I have to, and doesn’t mean that that’s the correct way. Julie, you are a wonderful woman to share these gifts of yours with the world ❤️

    Julie is a GEM
In a world of burdened homeschoolers Julie offers hope and joy. If you find yourself weighed down and drowning in your homeschool it is time to shift your perspective. Julie will help you see that meaningful and important learning doesn’t have to happen behind a desk. She gives us permission to partner with our kids and play alongside them. She reminds us that the relationship between us and our children supersedes the curriculum. These are lessons every homeschool mom should adopt early!

    My home education guru!
This podcast has given me the calm and confidence to facilitate home education in a way that works for everyone in our family. Thank you Julie for reassuring me, guiding me, and cheering me on just like the amazing guru you are! Thank you to all of the support staff as well. Homeschool Living
Julie is a truly one of a kind inspiration in the homeschool arena. I find myself drawn to her podcast for insights, inspiration and ideas in keeping our homeschool thoughtful and enchanting. I first fell in love with Julie during an interview on another podcast where she mentioned how she became a homeschooler. I believe Julie used the words, ‘if it’s radical and subversive, count me in!’ Never have words resonated so deeply with me in the arena of homeschool or otherwise! Her breakdown of learning as a 3 way process was another piece of pure gold not only for my homeschool, but in giving my own life decisions and experience context! Bring on the encounter, has been my life motto and Julie teaches me how to bring that magic into everyday life for my children! Thank you Julie! I could not imagine homeschooling without your wisdom!

Hands down my favorite Homeschool Podcast!!!!
I can’t say enough good things about all the wisdom that Julie Bogart has imparted through her podcast! As a rookie (second year) Homeschooler I have found her advice extremely helpful and encouraging. Her ability to share her outside of the box thinking is absolutely priceless. I love how she shares personal stories and helps to draw connections between studies and how we can implement them. Thank you Julie and all of your staff for your amazing work !!!

    Life changing!
Covid 19 might have pushed me into homeschooling, but truth be told, the pandemic was more of a convenient excuse to try out this great adventure of homeschooling. I have found these podcasts to be incredibly motivating and paradigm shifting. The brave writer program is also a perfect fit with my highly anxious mildly autistic youngest son. He is actually looking forward to our homeschooling days and partnering with him has become my greatest joy. My oldest child is watching this unfold and is now asking to be homeschooled as well!! Thank you for your motivating words.

    Simply wonderful!
I am so grateful to have discovered Julie and her team this summer. I stumbled across the Brave learner book and i feel like Julie wrote this book for me and my child. Then i started listening to the podcast last month and have played all the 2020 episodes. Each one draws me in and makes me hopeful (which is hard to feel in 2020) for the start of my homeschool adventure with my daughter. Thank you for a listening experience that is easy. Julie’s delivery is so natural and warm, i tell everyone it’s my warm blanket moment for the week!

    Just what I needed!
I am naturally a more relaxed, go with flow of where each kid is at in their learning experience. My issue was no one was giving me permission to be that parent. Julie has given me confidence to not need to explain myself, but if I do, I am able to tell them, “I follow the Bravewriter method. You would look into it!” ❤️

    Wow, the best
This podcast is mentioned in almost every homeschool podcast I’ve ever listened to. I now know the reason. When Julie speaks she comes from a place of wisdom and quiet reassurance. As a new homeschool parent, embarking on this wacky journey I find her podcast to be pragmatic and reassuring. Worth it’s weight in gold.

Thank you so much for your podcast and Brave Learner Book. Every podcast and chapter I read I feel like I can do this. I love listening to all your wisdom. It’s so uplifting and gives me a calm that I can do this.

    Brave Schooling
Earlier today I was introducing some math curriculum options to my 9 year old for this upcoming school year and she wasn’t very interested in any of them. So I asked her what she did want and she said she just wanted me to teach her. She didn’t want to follow a book or online program. In the moment I swallowed my pride and explained the I am not all knowing and thus felt like I needed the curriculum to act as a guide. Plus, I was hoping that she would like the curriculum enough to do some independent study. So I was feeling stumped. After putting kids to bed tonight I turned on the Brave Writer podcast and listened to Out of the classroom: Brave Schooling. While listening I had an ‘aha!’ moment. The idea of Brave Schooling finally clicked and I realized that I had been viewing curriculum backwards; as the means to an end instead a tool to assist on our journey as needed. This whole episode was excellent and got me even more excited to join the Brave Writer community as a new Brave Schooling family this fall.

    Inspiring, clear, and useful
I will be homeschooling this fall due to COVID, and I felt absolutely overwhelmed with the glut of information and curriculum choices. I listened to one episode and *immediately* felt more empowered and focused. After binge listening, I can wholeheartedly recommend this podcast. Julie is both big picture and nitty gritty practical. She’s funny, she’s insightful, she has excellent discernment, and she has a perfect podcast presence — just delightful. I’ve laughed and been moved to tears. I feel like I’m sitting across from her, just drinking tea and getting wisdom from a close friend. If I homeschool my children after this pandemic subsides, it will be because of Julie Bogart.

    Reassuring and Informative
I’ve been homeschooling for over ten years and Julie’s warm, compassionate, walk along beside you style has been a constant on my journey. I know I wouldn’t have the courage to homeschool high school without the reassuring encouragement of the Brave Writer team. Whether you are a new homeschooler or a veteran, Brave Writer has something of value for everyone. This podcast is well worth your time not just to help be an effective educator but also a connected parent and an awesome adult!

So informative and realistic. A breath of fresh air.
I was introduced to this podcast from another homeschooling podcast. Everything I hear is a breath of fresh air that tells me, “relax mom, you’ve got this! Enjoy the benefits of home and the learning will take place naturally.” Thank you for tips, ideas and strategies for each of my individual kids.

The more I listen to Brave Writer, the more I want to listen. Even topics I don’t think will apply to me. Julie has such a positive, enthusiastic and caring manner - she has helped our homeschool become a more positive, fun experience. I can’t say enough about what an encouragement her words have been for me as a homeschool mom. Thank you Brave Writer team!
