2000integraLearning for entertainment is usually boring!Great show and I pick up tips that will save me time and money

this show used to be goodPretty much GM fanboysTheir bias on Gm junk is too much. They’re the aborted bow tie dweebs from high school all grown up.
-
HamborgSEducationalLove this show. I learn a lot about cars and how to think about diagnosing common problems. The hosts do so in an entertaining and clean manner. Quite refreshing.
-
Wilson3707Great showI've been listening to this show for over 15 years. These guys are great communicators and knowledgeable mechanics. I have call the show with car questions and send them numerous emails. Every time, they have answered my questions with great detail and accuracy. Love the show. PTLA FELLAS.

tokalon1999Russ is really knowledgeable but……I wish he would listen to the caller question. So many times he asks question that the caller has already given the answer to. In some cases he starts giving an answer for a totally unrelated problem . Please try to listen before supposing the answer.

M_McFaddinAutomotive Angels!Love this show!

Hullo08A very well made show! This podcast takes second place behind CarTalk. The hosts are very knowledgeable and helpful. This is overall a good show. The bottom line: If you are an automotive gearhead, or just want to diagnose a problem with your car, this show is very helpful. If you know absolutely nothing about cars, you might get a little bit lost.

abc7844983Love this podcastI’ve been a long time listener. You guys are doing a great job! Love the podcast. I’ve learned a lot

tmlove58Saved My Sanity!I discovered this podcast in 2018 and have been a regular listener since then. Many many thanks to the Under the Hood team for the hours of automotive education and enjoyment they have provided me. In particular I enjoy listening to this podcast when tending to endless weekend chores around the house. Definitely beats listening to the ruminations of my own mind!
-
Chippewa 06AwesomeLove this podcast. Just a 17 year old trying to learn more about cars. Learned a lot. Thanks

Tool Man ARGreat Family show!!!You all seem to have a lot more knowledge than some of the other podcast I have listened to. And I really like the way you present the show and I like the family aspect of it. I can listen to it in the truck or car with the family and not have to be worried about what we hear. Thank you all for providing a great service. all though disclaimer states it is only for entertainment value lol PTLA Jim Johns

mjdgarageAwesomeBest Automotive repair show on any platform. Love every episode.
-
Beach CommuterPTLAIncredibly knowledgeable hosts + midwestern hospitality = great show. An extra plus are the call-ins: “Well, I gotta 1984 full sized Chevy pickup and it’s been running a little rough lately. I pulled the engine, rebuilt the bottom end and gave her a quick valve job. I was wondering whether I should change my oil change interval.” Obviously more mechanically inclined than your average call in show audience. lol

Mark GrabbBest PodcastWhen riding from South Dakota to Michigan in the back of a Subaru Brat, I grip the handles and binge listen to Under The Hood. As my body goes numb, I am convinced that I am in the studio, wait even better, in the garage with Russ, Shannon and Chris. It isn't clear what Chris is doing, but he is there. Russ is guiding my every move, as we diagnose, discuss, and finally repair my 1979 off-brown Ford Ranchero... the one I really want for sale up in Brookings. Shannon is analyzing a new business model to focus Nordstrom's exclusively on Brats, Bajas, Rancheros, El Caminos and, why not, 1977 Trans AMs. Is this a review? Yes! Please download every episode of Under The Hood... listen or re-listen to every episode without a break, other than brief pauses for water, bread, snowmobiling on ice, and perhaps a family vacation in Alaska, then write your own 5-star review, smile, and think without speaking, "I get it"... notice how your head gently and positively nods.

deniseartsLove thisThanks so much for this show, it’s great and I appreciate listening to you. I’d love to hear more about electric vehicles, especially the safety/not safety of them for families and grandchildren!
-
Thomas O71Almost as good as Car TalkThe best current auto repair info show. Listen now along with old Car Talk shows. Great knowledgeable hosts with easy listening. Not as hyped as Scottie.
-
The DaveoSponsers are GarbagFair show, sponsers are not worth anything. Tire rack is out of everything, Car-parts.com same story
-
A concern dadAppreciate what you guys do.Thank you for your knowledge and your time you take on the podcast really means a lot I really look forward to it every week.
-
Preacher3550Uncharacteristically knowledgeableYou guys know so much about vehicles, I spend a few minutes after every show just letting things sink in. I work on not only my vehicles, but friends and family. I have never been officially trained in any of it. You guys help my mind set and make DYI car repair so much easier. Thank you for all you do. I hope you guys keep doing this for a LONG time to come.
-
billn325Great show!Very knowledgeable; they get a lot of technical questions and always manage to answer and explain so anyone can understand! I’ve learned a lot about cars and had lots of fun listening.
-
Henry's SonFar too many and too long ad breaksExcellent content but the number of commercials and their frequency does not justify listening. Bye-Bye.
-
Spokane_DJamesF1 drive to surviveYes yes yes. Absolutely the best show. Can’t wait for the next season. Also Race the Bubba Wallace story is fantastic F1 drivers are the best in the world.
-
Unnamed SourceGreat showVery enjoyable show. I’m amazed at how much knowledge they have just off the top of their head. I got a kick out of some of the one star reviews you people need to lighten up.
-
Powner of neewbsGood news.I like the news from the current impacts to the automotive industry. Keeping some of us informed on whats coming and what’s going on.
-
isntthisautomotive?…Love the show, why does your sisters auction house need to be pushed so much? I listen to this to learn about cars, not listen to what your sister is selling.
-
Techn0Nut1996Great show, but..It’s a great show, but I don’t know about America’s favorite car talk show. The information is great and the show is easy to listen to but the hosts don’t have the same character and ability to play off each other like Tom and Ray. With that being said, I still listen every week. Keep up the great work guys.

老外之60 percents ads 40 percents answersToo many ads not enough helpful hints

Patricko1980Something for the inner-mechanic in all of usIt took me a while to get into this, but honestly this is a great show. If you’re really into car repair and enjoy technical conversations, you’re going to like it. It’s different than cartalk and that’s okay!

erstbert1984Irksome sometimesI listen to every podcast episode. I like the show. Having said that, sometimes, I get upset at what seems to me to be Shannon’s lack of formal education. I just listened to and episode where a caller had an Aveo, that would crank, but not start. Shannon told him to check the fuel pressure. Shannon said that you can get a fuel pressure tester for very little money or that some places will “ borrow you one.” I just could not believe that he just said “borrow you one”. It’s LOAN you one! For someone so successful, to speak in such an ignorant, uneducated manner is appalling to me. P. S. No one on the show can properly pronounce the word catalytic, in catalytic converter.
-
SmithAndWessonExcellentVery informative and knowledgable. Have listened to this show for over 10 years.
-
DJ SmoothbottomEhGood car repair advice. Not NEARLY as entertaining or fulfilling or even insightful as Car Talk. As an American, I can affirm that this is certainly not my favorite car talk show. Not even close.
-
Fred L JohnsonGreat informationI am thankful for the automotive knowledge that these guys deliver on every show. And they produce a LOT of them.
-
T DorseyGreatI can listen all day.

jbhustleI triedThere is no way this shill can be the number one car podcast.
-
PD SniperA must listen podcastReally enjoy the common sense approach to vehicle repair. I am a retired Semi Tractor and Medium Duty mechanic that had my own shop for 30 years. Some of their answers to these category of vehicles is vague and not best but they seldom get any heavy duty questions. It is permissible and valued to just tell the caller that is not in their wheelhouse of experience and tooling and diagnostic equipment. I don’t know squat about light duty pickups and cars but enjoy their knowledge about them no matter brand or vintage. Sometimes Chris is annoying. Russ and Shannon are good wholesome people.
-
Guitar7766Well informed call in automotive show.I’m a mechanic and automotive enthusiast. I enjoy listening to the top three automotive podcast, and this is one of them.

subarujunkie16Great show for a 16 year old hoodieHello I just wanted to say I love the show! I called in about changing the timing belt in my 2002 Subaru Impreza 2.5 TS and the guys helped me out and they are funny! The story about the Firebird was great! Thanks.

1jakEntertaining and informativeI greatly enjoy the Under the Hood show. It is entertaining while also being informative. I have used recommendations given to callers on the show to help diagnose and repair my own vehicles. Great show, midwestern sensibility of the hosts is a great bonus.
-
OoiiiiiiioO (Joe)Very educational and entertainingI listen to Under the Hood podcast episodes through iTunes. Mostly when I'm software testing away at my day job. Really enjoy the content and the answers to the questions. I'm a hobbiest mechanic so hearing the problems that come up and trying to answer it myself before the guys do is always fun. Usually we're along the same lines. It's awesome that they share their experiences and stories with us.
-
DowupGreat showLearning a lot about cars and maintenance. Even the wife likes the show!
-

ToekneeBee-FSDNever MissI never miss an episode. Under the Hood is fun, helpful, entertaining and educational. Even if you aren’t mechanically inclined, you’ll still love it.
-
Drewjrichards3030How could you not love them?I don’t even like cars that much. 🤷♂️
-
RT_6SpeedUsed to be betterI've listened to the show for years and always enjoyed it. Then, starting a year or so ago, it turned into a talking match between the hosts. Its hard to hear and hard to enjoy when all three of you insist on talking at the same time. Sadly, most of the time the 'overtalk' adds nothing to the actual car problem. Deleted it from my list of podcasts.
-
sax wildBetter than click and clack.Great information for this ever changing world!
-
Firt From a CartoonToo many adsPretty entertaining show but the amount they talk about the sponsors is a bit much.
