    Jon!
You did a great job covering for Greg – – I enjoyed you just as much as I do him! Although, you do have a Jersey accent that Greg absolutely does not have! I love it! Made my day!

Keep Tim Barnett off the show
He’s a narcissist and a manipulator. Less of him makes this show all the more better.

    Name change
This may not go over well but I don’t think a show should ask for money at the end of the year when the main person is not on very much.

    Clarity defined
I listen to Greg as often as he provides content. It’s relevant, clear though often opinionated he keeps it real. Thank you for your patience with callers that seek wisdom, this has been such an example of tolerance and education for me. This podcast is literally bible based infused with doctrine with a sprinkle of Greg.

    Wonderful Apologetics
I love apologetics and believe all Christians should know what they believe, why they believe it, learn how to ask meaningful questions and defend the faith. Greg is a font of knowledge, but sometimes he can be a little long winded, so I just speed it up or skip ahead a bit. ;) But overall, it’s a great podcast!

    Decision making podcast
Great podcast! I read the book by Garry Friesen years ago and was so encouraged and freed up in my decision making. It changed my life and gave me peace. But, I haven’t heard many pastors, speakers or churches espouse this same viewpoint. So, thank you for this podcast which, once again, encouraged me.

    Thoughtful responses to difficult questions
Greg pairs helpful social/theological/moral commentaries with thoughtful conversations with Christians and non-Christians seeking to better understand the world and how we ought to speak Truth where there is so much confusion

Thank you Greg for your Q and A
Awesome to hear biblically sound advice. Many years ahead! Jesus is king! Glory to him

    Stay sharp
Learned about this show when a friend recommended the “tactics” book to me. I used tactics as a study for my high school seniors and we loved it so I’ve been listening to the show for about a year now In that time so many of my students’ theological questions have been addressed biblically on the show, so I have used this as a resource to help a lot of young people think biblically Thank you for this ministry!

    Wonderful 30 year long ministry!
Happy 30 year anniversary to everyone on the STR team. I just listened to Greg’s great “recap” which was so inspiring. Thank you Greg, for your faithful stewardship of the gifts and talents God have you. You and your team have created a meaningful and fruitful legacy. I love listening to all your podcasts. I’ve learned so much from STR , #STR Ask, Clear Thinking with Alan Shlemon, and others. I often quote things I learn, giving appropriate credit, when I lead my Bible study group or chat with friends. I recommend your podcasts whenever I get the chance.

    Makes me think
This podcast doesn’t just give me foundational ways of approaching issues to help others understand the Christian worldview. It also helps me answer questions in my own faith walk that often I didn’t have the vocabulary to describe or know the questions to ask.
  • bwhite309
Greg and the STR staff are excellent teachers
I always find this podcast to stretch my understanding of how to talk about God and Jesus with others. Love learning from Dr Koukl!

    Long-time listener, first-time rater ;)
I’ve been listening to Greg for over two decades and he has helped shape my thinking immeasurably. He is insightful, careful and compassionate in critiques and clearly loves the Church and the callers who may or may not be Christians. Required listening for anyone who wants to thoughtfully engage the non-Christian (and Christian) world around them. Pick up his book TACTICS while you’re at it! :)

    Great Stuff
I discovered Koukl through David Wood a few years ago and have been hugely blessed ever since. I've taught Tactics at my church and have been amazed at how helpful it has been. I really think that it should be taught in seminaries since there was nothing like it when I went through, and it has been one of the most helpful things I've learned. I was pumped when I saw that Mike Winger was going to be discussing progressive "Christianity" because I really enjoy a lot of his material and especially his work on that subject. It was really good, especially when Tim let him talk! ;-) Thanks for such an amazing ministry!

Brilliant examples of 1 Peter 3:15!
I cannot remember how exactly I stumbled upon this show months ago, but I am so glad I finally did! Greg’s most recent episode with PineCreek Doug was awesome, I was nerve-racked in thinking, ‘what if PineCreek Doug was asking ME these questions???' Doug started out kind and cool, but got really aggressive by the end. Greg on the other hand, stayed calm the entire time. This podcast has motivated me to study God’s word diligently to be prepared to answer difficult questions, but listening to this conversation between Greg and Doug remarkably moved me to seek God’s heart all the more to be gentle and loving. Thank you!

    Clarity is key
Thank you for covering a host of issues in the culture in these episodes. I’ve benefited from reading Greg’s books, newsletters, and now listening to him. As a result, I’ve been able to process my own doubts and questions more clearly and have meaningful conversations with others.

    Informed to Action
This podcast is helping me learn "comfortable" to not be in fear of saying the "wrong" thing or being in fear of saying the "wrong" thing. THANK YOU for finally opening up the world to hear about Jesus' Salvation and our only Hope!!!

    Wonderful Podcast!
Greg, as you know, I am a huge fan of yours! Your podcast is engaging and informative. I loved having you as a guest on my Raising Christian Kids Podcast. And you did address how parents can raise strong Christian kids by assisting them in understanding how to defend their faith. When we help children know why they believe, and it is logical to think that way, that is how we transform their hearts and minds. And your book Tactics is one of the best apologetic tools for parents and children!

    Listen to this show!
Greg has tremendously helped me in my walk with Christ. He breaks down tough issues and helps you clearly think through them from a Christian worldview.

    Top Ministry for Biblical Thinking
Our culture is going nuts. From the magic of belief that feeling or thinking changes reality, to the Neo-Marxism of CRT, cancel culture, and Big (Brother) Tech, we are sliding rapidly into fulfilling Kruschev’s prediction that the West would collapse from within and fall to internationalist totalitarianism. The only hope for our children is in Christ. We must not fail to educate ourselves and develop our thinking skills so we can counter Satan’s lies. Stand to Reason is in that battle, building up Christians so they can do battle, God’s way, with reason, gentleness, and respect.

    Lost interest
Though a consistent listener for many years, I recently unsubscribed to this program. The content has moved away from its mission defending Christianity and become more about introspection and personal topics. This has evidently become apparent to his audience as well. Greg has far fewer callers than in the past. He fills the time once spent will callers on longer sermons and anecdotes. Often, his shows don’t even run full length. I would advise potential listeners seeking apologetic programming to turn to a more dynamic voice.

From new thought and new age
I rejected Christianity long ago and was living a very secular lifestyle for the last 20+ years. Then 2020 happened and my whole world fell apart. CRT, the madness with COVID and BLM, this year the division of people between vaccinated and not. So, I started exploring historic Christianity. What have I got to lose. Absolutely amazed and grateful to Greg for being able to clearly explain his worldview. I can see it matching up with reality. My new thought and new age framework wasn’t working.

    Best podcast for biblical clarity
I never have trouble wondering if i learned something Biblically accurate when i listen to this show. Greg Koukl is a man driven to excellence in his many years living it out as a Christian. The questions come

    Inspirational!
I started listening to Frank Turek’s podcast and became obsessed with apologetics. I’m a science person and apologetics really draws me to the Lord. It motivates me to want to learn so much more! I was listening to Frank Turek…then Greg Koukl came on. I listened to the podcast, got his book Tactics, and started listening to more Stand to Reason. I love Greg Koukl, Mr. B, Alan Shlemon, and Amy Hall. I then started creating my own website, then I heard about a kid that Greg met who also made his own podcast. Stand to Reason is inspiring. It inspired a 13 year old kid…I’m that kid’s age too! It is creating the next generation of real Christ followers! It inspired me, the kid on that Greg met (Daniel), and I’m sure many more! Stand to Reason is a gift from God, and truly a blessing that was lain on Greg’s heart! It is an inspiration!

    🌟a Godsend of insight !!!
I’ve loved STR every time I’ve heard Greg on the radio for almost 20 years, and now that I stumbled across the STR podcast, I’m so stoked! As a disciple of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I’ve always been blessed with the testimonies and encouragement in living as ambassadors for Christ, from my Protestant & Catholic & Messianic Hebrew brothers & sisters. God bless you & keep you as you continue your divinely inspired work!! -Spencer

    Loving God With Our Minds
We have lost our ability to think and reason. The Bible encourages us to use our minds, renew our minds, and love God with our minds (Isaiah 1:18, Romans 12:2, Luke 10:27). I love how this podcast helps believers to recognize faulty thinking and correctly address it Biblically. So helpful!

    Insight
I love this podcast! I’ve been learning how to defend my faith and make it stronger through Greg’s teachings and I’m going to read his book Tactics soon and I’m so excited! My brother is a devout atheist who used to believe and the quote that the 13 year old boy who wanted to write a book came to mind. “I was told what to believe not taught what to believe”. Now I realize how my brother was not taught enough and argued with people who probably weren’t taught enough themselves. Love listening to you Greg. God bless and continue spreading the good news and I hope you see this 🙂🙏

    Great, even tempered
STR makes no qualms about speaking those things they believe. Which is a traditional view of biblical Christianity. But the hosts and guests are also noticeably loving about the issues that the world would take issue with. I’ve been encouraged by this podcast and challenged in my faith to really walk what i believe. Thank you Greg and the STR team.

    Grateful
I’m so grateful to Greg and his ministry at STR for continually helping me to learn more and more about clear thinking, apologetics, the intersection of faith & reason, etc. Greg responds thoughtfully and graciously to callers and I can rest easy knowing that his perspective is grounded in biblical wisdom. I look forward to listening every week!

    💯
100% recommend this podcast! It has immensely helped grow and mature my faith in Christ, and helped me know how to respond to people when they have anti-Christian or differing views from my own
  • gogolfinvic
    Best apologetics training out there!
STR has been my go to apologetics organization since the mid 1990's. I learn a lot from listening to Greg. His discussions with callers is always interesting, and Greg models what a good Christian ambassador looks like.

A Smart man with a smart plan
I’m almost done with my first reading of TACTICS and wanted a little more so this podcast and the YouTube channel were the next logical step. I am really enjoying getting to know and understand Greg’s background and getting a bit more info about his ideas about how to engage in conversations. So good! Timely info for the times we are living in now!

Thank you to Mr. Koukl and team for your gentle, persistent insistence on speaking and explaining truth.

The church is starving for this.
Not afraid to touch on issues that matter.
  • SegerB
Smart, but could use something else
I have regularly listened to the podcast since I went to a STR conference a few years ago. I think Greg (and all the hosts) are very smart and well-read. My one complaint is that sometimes without a co-host or editing there is enough repetition or rabbit trails to be annoying. However, I still listen regularly and would recommend you to as well.
