The cool thing about subscribing to his show is you get access to like 10 other shows he does on aliens, cryptids etc. I cancelled one of my tv subscriptions just so I can subscribe and listen to his podcasts! They are great! I listen to more podcasts than watching tv. What a good deal!

I love how you discuss about it with the person and try to understand them then say what you think but don’t say they are wrong but ya that’s so cool :)

Jim Harold’s Campfire podcast is always a joy to listen to. Harold provides a friendly voice across the internet as did his predecessor Casey Kasem welcoming listeners in each week to the Top 40 Countdown all those years before. Thank you Jim and the entire team for all you provide… and on with the spooky countdown.

Used to love this podcast, but it has been on the decline for months. If there are ten stories, nine will be from a middle aged woman talking about her mean grandfather visiting her in dreams. The tenth will be another middle aged woman finding her mothers ring in a box. Seriously.

Didn’t know about this podcast until I heard Jim Harold as a guest on the latest Coast to Coast. Liked what I heard, so found his Campfire pod and subscribed right away. Like his voice, his overall manner, and the caller’s stories.

I’ve been listening since 2013. There are some really spooky stories in here! Also some boring rambling ones but overall fun!

This used to be one of my favorite podcasts to listen to while I go to sleep. Since 2013, it’s gone completely downhill. Weird high energy, not spooky, and the dumbest callers. Do you want to listen to the same 10 people talk to Jim about the weird dreams they had last week? Do you want someone to give a description of how a crow landed on their roof and this must be their dead grandma/father/mother? And sleep paralysis where people see a hat man? If not, I just saved you a decade of content. The shows pre-2014 are excellent. Why? Bc Jim didn’t need “filler” content and could be selective with using the best content. Now, he’s struggling for quality content on a tight timeline and putting everyone on the show, even fakes. (And if I hear that roadhouse saloon story one more time…. like how many times? 30? And the same story was on spooked told completely different, so something is up on the “facts.”) I’ve been listening since 2009, and before that on the paranormal podcast since 2005. Plus club member and all. I’m canceling my subscription and moving on. You should do the same. It’s sad, but this is nearly the same price as Netflix.

The guest stories are a good mix and Jim does a great job asking follow up questions. I’m a plus club member and the archives for this podcast alone make it worth its weight in gold. Can’t say anyone loves ads, but at least these are well placed (and it is a business after all).

Stories from all over the planet from cryptids to ghosts, ufo’s, big foot etc. Enjoy Jims smooth voice and creepy stories from real people!

I just love all the different personal stories, I just wish that Jim would coach the speakers not to use the word “um”. It’s very hard to listen to what seems like a great story, but when every other word is “ um”, I just skip to the next story.

As a person with a deep appreciation for the paranormal, I love the volume and care of the personal stories shared around the campfire!

I listen to Jim’s podcast every morning on my way to work. I love listening to his guests and their incredible stories. One of my favorite podcasts.

He has great guests, and I never miss an episode. And, I got to be on one!

Audio quality of guests calls is horrible.

I thoroughly enjoy this podcast. However, I’m unable to give it 5 stars because as a paying subscriber, I never anticipated having to listen to lengthy ads throughout the episode. All the other podcasts I pay for have the benefit of no ads for the cost of membership. Disappointing and annoying.

Great show if you can fast forward on the parts he’s trying to get your $

This is a new discovery and I absolutely adore it. BUT only having a few episodes for free, and charging $7.99/month for the rest, is absolutely ridiculous. A lot of people can’t afford it! Not fair and not cool. So disappointed

I love this podcast! Not only is Jim a friendly voice to listen to but also all the stories that people share here are just so good!!! Coming from a family that has experienced lots of encounters with ghosts etc it is makes me feel just like home!

Why did this suddenly become a money grab? $7.99 is insane when there is so much similar content in the podcastverse. I just don’t see the value. I can get Discovery Plus, with hundreds of shows, for less!

I enjoy listening to this podcast; the stories are a lot of spooky fun. Jim is a great host and mostly knows how to pick the right stories! However I would suggest fewer stories about people’s dreams as they are mostly boring and pointless. I would also suggest that you stop constantly interrupting people, just let them get the stories out.

Jim is a tremendous host and has taken the concept of old shows like Coast to Coast and improved them. Guiding callers through telling their own stories can by clumsy, but Jim does a top rate job of keeping them on track. The older shows are the best however. The 1 1/2 hour versions have too many advertisements and some of the stories go on and on and really seem to be rambling aimed at filling the time slot. Not allowing every caller to amble on would be great—especially if every caller makes it on the show. Some of the calls aren’t really worth the time it takes to listen. Some person waxing on about a dream they had isn’t interesting radio. Like I said, this is a top shelf show. Just find the old episodes and stay spooky. Those are the best!

Ive been listening to the campfire for years and used to love the show but lately it seems Jim mostly curates stories from paid subscribers - and while there is nothing wrong with that - when I hear the SAME person 3 or 4 times on different episodes talk about their bad dream or “eerie feeling” it starts to get really old. Most of the stories are told in an over-dramatic and theatrical way which right off the bat is a red flag. You’ll notice most of the best stories are told by regular people who aren’t really into the supernatural and are seemingly hesitant to share. Unfortunately, you may only get one of those genuine stories in every episode and the rest of the time it’s people turning a 1 minute “weird experience” into a 15 minute John Carpenter story.

I have listened to your podcast since the inception. I enjoy listening to your podcasts every day. You have a great voice and stories. Keep up the great work! Thank you SO much!

making 90% of your episodes be behind a $7.99 paywall like… that’s how much I’m paying for a streaming service not a podcast.
