I’ve listened to thousands of hours of podcasts. Never had someone yawn constantly.

One thing I find extremely helpful about this podcast is how Charlie explains which gear works best for specific situations—and also how that same gear can be useful in everyday life. That’s not something I’ve heard from others or even considered myself! He does an amazing job of connecting real-life experiences to practical gear that actually helps, rather than just trying to sell you on eight different types of diesel heaters. Definitely recommend!

This is a really good and informative podcast, dude gets to the point and no annoying freaking commercials! Found him through New Found Overland podcast, that’s good dude too! He covers a lot of topics and seems to now what he’s talking about.

Been listening on Apple Podcasts for a few weeks and always look forward to what Charlie has to say. It’s nice to NOT have hear commercials by irrelevant companies that buy their way onto a show; he talks up the manufacturers he loves based on his experience with them rather than promoting brands for the sake of monetary gain. I’ve been into hot rods & off roading my whole life, been “camper camping” regularly since I was kid, and have always worked in the custom automotive industry including places like Global Expedition Vehicles in southwest MO. Now I’m designing & building an entry level overlanding rig to enjoy the hobby with my family, due much in part to the honest representation and inspiration found by Charlie and his guests, colleagues, & friends on this show. Keep up the good work, and thanks for keeping MOST episodes clean enough to have on in the shop with my kids around!

Solid Podcast. He has a grass roots approach to the podcast and genuinely cares about the community. Genuine and doesn’t butter it up. Helpful info and serious talks is what you’ll find here.

Charlie is so good at telling it like it is, no bull, no fluff, just great info! He freaking knows his stuff as far as just knowledge being passed on but also knows his gear! So if you want to know everything about everything, give him a listen!

Charlie has a lot of great knowledge, not just in overlanding but also for outdoor activities, automotive repair, and daily life. Thanks Charlie for a great podcast.

If you’re looking for a (seemingly off-the-cuff) ramble primarily on the commercial, gear-oriented side of overlanding, this is your show. The host doesn’t exactly come across as having a ton of humility, is VERY proud of his Tacoma, and apparently has a potato for a microphone…

The first overlanding podcast I tuned in to. Learned a lot to say the least…Hearing mentions of other podcasts on this show, I now listen to quite a bit! Good stuff Charlie, thanks and Semper Fi Brother.
