If you want to listen to a couple guys struggle to stay on topic for more than 2 minutes and end your commute confused by what you just listened to, this podcast is for you. Yeah, we get it, you killed one nice buck from a truck bed. All jokes aside, once you get past Dan complaining about the most petty things in life and Reid trying to maintain his 25 handicap, the show is legit. The comical banter gets usually culminates with some deep stories about life that can resonate with even those not passionate about the outdoors and country music. I’m a day one listener and y’all are killing it. Just when I thought the episode with Craig Morgan was the peak, y’all keep delivering great content. Hearing the stories of those behind the music, really brings songs to life. Kudos to Steve and MeatEater for recognizing talent and bringing you into their circle as I wouldn’t have came across your podcast otherwise. It’s a welcome addition to my weekly commute podcast rotation, marrying two things I’m passionate about. Notice no mention of riding someone’s coat tails, you’re welcome. PSA: if you listen, killer will likely become part of your daily vocabulary.

Must be nice being an “Isbell Twin”. Hit It Ray needs to find the auto tune for Reid and the mute button for Dan. I’ve watched all the episodes of this quote “Hunting” podcast. Collecting waypoints “after the podcast” - must be nice. If you need a Nashville, TN traffic update from Dan, tune in. If you’re hoping to hear the guests, think again. [insert turkey gobble] having rockstar guests willing to sit through a podcast with a smile, despite these two jokers - must be nice.

This podcast has the potential to be a 5 star podcast very easily. Unfortunately it drops the ball on that and leaves a ton to be desired. The “What You Mad At” section is completely unnecessary and has absolutely nothing to do with anything surrounding the outdoors or music and is always a waste of time. The best part of the entire podcast is the raw voices from various different artists we get to hear in the “Gravorite Song” section which they do at the very end of each episode. The hunting and fishing stuff is good too and I usually enjoy that aspect of the show. But I’ve been listening to this podcast for probably as long as it’s been out and every single time I’m always left thinking the same thing: “these guys should do a whole lot less talking and a whole lot more singing!”

Brothers Hunt? The only thing these guys hunt are high fence deer and Huck’s pizza rolls. That 200” deer? Paid for. I heard it only measured 166” but they paid the deer farm for some spike sheds to glue on it. And after the shot Dan looked like Luke Bryan’s video asking if it was down.

The guys don't hear it, but we actually applaud at the end of the show ... because it's over. Two guys who once compared smash burgers to McDonalds and referred to their "middle school careers" on camera? But hey, I have their dad to thank for years of great sermons and a baptism, so they can't be all that bad! Love the show guys, and congrats on all that you guys have achieved. The fact that Dan cured his most car sick moment with a pile of BBQ at the top of a mountain in North Carolina is awe inspiring. These kind of life lessons are invaluable to the American people. You may only find a lesson in one out of ten episodes. Just hang in there. You’ll get some solid country music knowledge in the process.

If you love aimless storytelling, endless back-patting, and conversations that feel more like eavesdropping on two dudes who think they’re way funnier than they are, this one’s for you. The guests (when they actually get a word in) are the only saving grace, but even they can’t save the show from veering off into irrelevant nonsense. Five stars!

“The Brother’s Hunt”… seriously? As clever as yall are, this is what you came up with? That name is softer than leftover pizza. Makes you sound like you eat corn on the cob the long way and wash it down with Seltzer beers. In all seriousness, you guys are the best. By far my favorite podcast right now!

We get it. You’re interviewing other artists to get co-writes and cuts so it’s not as obvious you’re riding the Coattails of Combs and Rinella.

Two brothers with a band name, but no band. The Brothers Hunt? Sounds like a duo that couldn’t decide between being a country band or a discount YouTube survival show. I half expect them to show up in camo, claiming they “live off the land,” but really, they’re just living off Luke Combs’ Wi-Fi.

Y’all are daggum funny. Both of ya have gotten so much better the longer you’ve been doing this. Almost everyone is bad when they start something you guys were the same. Much better and more improved now. Thanks for the stories and singing. Deerpression only last for another 7-8 months now.

Episode 63 was the best one so far, even with the whole podcast being hard to love, I can tell the boys are going down hill fast with old material only referencing Luke combs, gas station chicken, and being mad at traffic. Heck I’m mad at this podcast. Good thing Steve Rinella gave these guys a chance otherwise they’d be no one. At this point Steve is just doing charity work as a write off for them 2

This podcast is a great listen if you’re looking to be a slightly below average outdoorsman and a middle of the road songwriter. One brother can only carry a tune in falsetto and the other one shows us that you can lose a bunch of weight and still be ugly. Really makes you want to give up on your dreams and stick with the desk job. Seriously though I can’t stop listening to this podcast. It’s a perfect blend of music, outdoors, and Faith. These guys have a great story and have great chemistry with all of their guests. The lil diddys are always on point and I love getting to peel back the curtain of some of my favorite artists. I’ve even started to like some artists that I didn’t like before solely because of this podcast. I have a couple of listener questions for yall if yall get some time. 1. What is your go to deer rifle and why? 2. What song have you written that you’re most proud of? Keep up the great work and God bless.

I nearly cut the podcast off quicker than a scammy kershaw meet and greet after hearing once again about one of them being t bagged by their youngan. Good thing they are halfway decent at interviewing their guests and continue to bring out great stories and songs in their conversations. Or maybe they just have great guests. Regardless, I’ll keep listening to the redheaded step child of the Meateater podcast network.

Reid definitely cant read a tape measure and Dan definitely has skid marks in a few pairs of tighty whiteys (out of love ofcourse)

Used to be a great show. Then there was a poor decision to get rid of “The one that got away”, now it’s just a good show. Still 5 stars though. Love the show!

Hey numbnuts, or is it numbnuts’ because I’m talking to both of y’all hillbillies? Anyway, CAMBER is the correct term for the tilt or angle of a tire and wheel, NOT canter. Canter is a gait of a horse, or something your sister does around the bases in beer league softball because she a big ol’ gal! Bros - if you stuck with me through the banter, let me just say this podcast is legit one of my favorites. Great content, awesome guests, sweet little ditties, and my favorite segment; graverite songs. Slam dunk move on your part to start having your guest throw out a few bars of said songs. I got hooked on Kassi’s rendition of “What Are You Listening To?” and can’t miss that segment since. Now that was a loin tickler, bros!!! Carry on…

It’s like if the MOST concussed version of Billy Bob from varsity blues grew up and convinced Luke Combs and Steve Rinella to put a beer fridge in the garage. (Squirrely Dan) and (Can’t Reid) let someone else do all the work for them, show up, shoot the deer and call themselves good hunters. What they need to be hunting is some new podcast guest because everyone is getting tired of listening to Dan talk about the “2hundo” he shot out of the truck window 3 months ago.

You guys are great story tellers and when you go on a tangent it is the best! When you interview artist’s I learn new things about them that I have never heard before and that is great! I love it when you sing with the artist at the end after the “The One That Got Away” segment”. That segment has some great stories.

The God’s Country podcast has become like my morning cup of coffee. I look forward to it every week and feel better after I get my weekly fill. Keep um coming guys!!

I have a few podcast saved that I listen too on my way back and forth to work. But gods country is one that I don’t miss. I have been there since the start and it just keeps getting better. The crossroads of country and hunting don’t get any better than this.

Perfect blend of music, hunting, and parenting. I hope the show listens to the audiobook “The Comfort Crisis” by Michael Easter. I don’t which one it is, but the constant interruptions is too much. It’s to the point where it’s so annoying I have to turn it off. The topics are my 2 favorite things, country music and hunting, but the one guy needs to relax.

It’s about time the song writers get the glory in “God’s Country.” The outdoor stories are great and the podcast is smooth and easy to listen to. Thanks for not getting all political.

Not sure why it gets a 4.6 because these kids are funny and entertaining and really that’s what you need in a world of such serious and negative content.

It’s great don’t get me wrong, but these guys are headed in the same direction as the element podcast. Useless information with way too much rambling in between. There are good stories and such, but it’s so boring.
