A fantastic podcast that has structure where the hosts use critical thinking skills to fully dissect unlike the TV show. I’m so happy that all my frustrations for the TV have a place to live!

Hello Bec and Sam! I watched the first season of Emily in Paris during Covid with my parents and couldn’t figure out why it rubbed me the wrong way. Since listening to your podcast I’ve rewatched it and it’s suddenly the most entertaining show in the world having your commentary in my head. My anxiety has been worse than ever lately and the only thing that has been able to calm me down is re-listening to you podcast over and over. It sounds silly but you two have gotten me through some incredibly hard times, and even pushed me to make the decision to finally get sober. Please never stop podcasting together you two are amazing!

I started watching Emily in Paris after hearing Sam talk about it on Office Ladies. At first I thought it was a cute, albeit vapid, way to unwind after a stressful day. But after listening to your podcast, I realize how terrible the show is, how dreadful Alfie is, how one dimensional Camille and Gabriel are, and how sociopathic Emily is. (I’ve always found Mindy annoying, and still do). Thank you, Sam and Becks, for changing my life with your hilarious podcast! Love you both, hate Emily. Becs in Minnesota

I love this podcast so much! I actually like the show Emily in Paris, but now that I am listening to your podcast I realized that the show is like hard drugs, I know it’s bad for me, but I can’t stop consuming it. It’s so addicting and so is your podcast, great job! I literally laugh out loud every episode you guys release. My favorite part was when Sam said the guy was “fingering” Emily in the first episode 😂.

Good pod; it was needed. Don’t care much for or about the chemistry. They are both not mean to each other, and that’s what I care about. I wish the cohost was someone else. I have to fast forward every time B goes on and on about herself or anything really. Just my preference. Love the affectionate use “bon souir bucket hats!” as the greeting and sign off!! Makes me chuckle every time. Interested to see what more Sam has to do and contribute as he explores the next phase of his career.

Missed hearing Sam’s voice on Office Ladies!! Loving this podcast! Cannot wait to hear more.

I binged watch every time they released a season. Can’t stop watching even I do feel the show is ridiculous. I’m so glad I listened to this podcast. I feel like I found a group of friends that I can finally related to about this show. The existence of this podcast is the reason they should continue making the show. Netflix should thank you for making watching this show reasonable.

Bec and Sam are entertaining, thorough in their hatred, and give voice to the reason to why Emily and Paris is terrible. And yet, we all continue to watch. Very enjoyable podcast!

Such a fun podcast! Love the way Sam & Bec respectively disagree and sometimes yield to each other or sometimes agree to disagree. This podcast keeps me laughing and I’m already dreading the end of the podcast with the end of the show. The location breakdowns and deep dives are fantastic. The French pronunciation is tres nasty 😂 keep up the great work!

I lay in bed at night thinking of all the ways I want to say thank you. Creepy? Not as much as Emily! There’s a lot of voices out here in the land of podcasts and social media, and I can’t believe the stars aligned to bring you two together. I’m a zennial writer and artist trying to stake my ground in the world, and can’t express how much hope and joy your convos give me. I worry all day long that there’s no place for creativity and curiosity in our world. And then I hear you do this thing that is magical and magnetic, and I can’t stop laughing. You make me feel like I have permission to play—that it’s something adults can have access to. That nothing is wasted if you ask the right questions, and that hating together can be fun, as long as it’s in the right container! Merci very much. Can’t wait for more 😄

I love the podcast! I followed Sam over from office ladies from his hilarious comments about Emily in Paris and glad to have met Bec. You both individually are great and so funny together. I listen to the podcast on my morning walk and and am often laughing out loud :) A few things: 1. My role was eliminated two weeks after Sam, and I felt soooooo seen in all his reflections and stages of grief, and appreciated his good bye on office ladies. People wanted me to be nice and sentimental like Sam’s goodbye on office ladies but I just had all the feelings, so was thankful to hear Sam share ALL his feelings on Enemy in Paris. Your podcast was a bright spot in those first few weeks of figuring out my life. 2. During my first weeks without a job, I had some extra time on my hands 😂 and I watched the Oscar nominated movie, Mrs Harris Goes to Paris and all I wanted was to to hear your alls opinion!! First: Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) is in it Second: Mrs. Harris in Paris actually rhymes!!! Third: it makes me think what would Emily in Paris could be like if it was actually well written 😂😂😂 Would definitely listen if you all did a breakdown of it as we wait for the next season! Thank you for all the laughs that you provide! ❤️

I always watched EiP, and will when the next season comes out, but it somehow took a while to realize I really disliked her character. Still, I had to watch! Having this podcast to commiserate with my bizarre feelings is amazing! I love Sam as a fan of Office Ladies, and Bec is wonderful too! Love the open discussions about Emily’s weird outfits, the sexual situations, and the other terrible characters (except Mindy)! I needed something new to listen to, and even though I’m only 5 episodes in, I’m in love!

OMG i just realized the sound for your theme song is the 2nd song in the credits. i was in the middle of something so i couldn't immediately skip to the next episode (like i normally do) and herd the song and started the freak out. Bec and Sam are forever playing in my head now!! Love you both to pieces and now have you playing me to sleep each night. The hate and the soothing vocal tones are a perfect way to end the day. I came to this pod when I heard about Sam being fired from Office Ladies and needed to keep hearing his voice. I am grateful to have been introduced to Bec and now love you both and hate Emily. Though I should probably admit that I did binge watch Emily in Paris because it was like watching a multi car pile up - I couldn’t look away. Listening to Beck and Sam fills me with so much joy! Emily is a terrible person and the only thing I love to hate more than her is her driving gloves. I went back to the beginning and am now binging this podcast after listening to the ep with Jenna and Angela. Absolutely love hearing these two recap this show with all of the rage that I was filled with when I watched it on my own!

Though the vengefulness on the podcast is fun against Emily, and Emily in Paris has so much wrong with it that it is fun to hate watch. The podcast hosts also turns that vengefulness onto real people enough that it just makes you uncomfortable. They don’t mind spreading rumors or just awful things about real people if they don’t like them. Me Too must not apply if you don’t agree with their politics. Stay away from the show. Why bring more negativity into your life.

Like many others, I started listening to this podcast after Sam mentioned it on The Office Ladies.. and this quickly became my top favorite podcast! I binged through the first several episodes, then had to impatiently wait for weekly releases. I initially loved Emily in Paris, but after Bec and Sam broke down an episode each week I realized why I loved it so much.. Emily in Paris is in the category of “trash tv”.. I hate that I love it. I tried to watch an episode that Bec and Sam were breaking down one week and ugh! I couldn’t get it through it. Thank you Bec and Sam for bringing us this podcast with both of your wittiness, laughter, and realistic views on a truly terrible show. Love your podcast and I can’t wait for upcoming episodes. A beautiful Aussie/ American perspective of an American writers perspective on a glorified American menace’s perspective of French people who are just kinda doing their thing. Everyone on this show is awful in their own way and I feel seen.

This pod is absolutely hysterical and I love starting my mornings with Sam’s sexy voice (not sorry, it’s true) and Bec’s amazing accent. I originally thought I liked this show, and I’m so glad my eyes have been opened to the dumpster fire that is Emily Cooper! I truly feel like y’all have provided me with whatever the opposite of rose colored glasses is. I also can’t stop saying bug bear now and I’m so grateful for that. I remember someone requested previously that you two break down Younger, and I’m BEGGING you to do it. That show is infuriating and my sister and I love to hate it - I think you guys would too. I had no idea how much I needed a hate-watch podcast until listening to Enemy in Paris. I’ve never watched an episode of Emily in Paris and now I never have to. (Thanks for taking one for the team Sam & Bec.) So glad they shouted it out on Office Ladies. Sam & Bec’s banter is the best and there are so many moments where I actually LOL. Please never stop hate-watching cringey tv shows. P.S. Every time my husband says ‘I love you’ and I say it back, it’s my knee jerk reaction to immediately follow it with: “we hate Emily.” Love you both!

I’m embarrassed to say that during my first watch of Emily in Paris I must have had my own rose colored glasses on. But Sam and Bec have ripped those glasses right off and I am now watching a second time and wondering how I didn’t see how bad it was! I will listen to ANY podcast Bec and Sam create together. This has been a hilarious journey that has me spending way too much time watching a show I never and should never be indulging in. Every week I am left full of trepidation and regret and I wouldn't have it any other way.

As one who succumbs to mob mentality on the internet without a single thought going into it, I of course had to listen to the podcast, and man oh man. IN LOVE. The banter between Sam and Bec is so lovely, and realistically friendly, and hilariously and brutally honest. Such a funny listen, and I haven’t even watched Emily in Paris! I have only seen clips here and there, and some of the hopelessly horny middle aged women in my life recommend the show to me, but I just couldn’t wrap my head around the concept of it. When I heard Sam’s disdain for the show on The Office Ladies Podcast, I of course had to join in on the mutual hatred when he recently started this! Bec, you are a lovely individual, and just because you share certain characteristics (which I don’t believe are flaws a lot of the time) with Emily doesn’t mean you aren’t beloved by us all! Y’all are both killing it!!

Like many others, I learned about this podcast from a recent Office Ladies episode. I was intrigued to listen because I somehow managed to watch many episodes of Emily in Paris despite its terrible storyline and annoying characters (I usually had it just playing in the background which I learned from the podcast that that might have been a purpose of the show- to be played in the background). I love the insights from both Bec and Sam, and the theme song is quite wonderful, or should I say très wonderful. 😅 Thank you for making my chores less boring and tedious, and thank you for giving us bucket hats what we want- a discussion for our mutual hate for Emily in Paris!

I’ve been telling everyone about your show, and probably not always in the most appropriate circumstances. I teach graduate students and couldn’t resist making a bit of a non-sequitur connection to the podcast when a student brought up their attempts to not be judgmental as an educational researcher…I happily explained how much I LOVE judging people in certain contexts, like this favorite hate-watch for instance! P.S. Thanks for ruining my life by making me now hyper-aware of how many dozens of times a day I say “sure” just like Sam. At least I know I have company.

My wife is mad that I refused to watch the show with her but listen to a podcast about said show. Came from Office Ladies for Sam but staying because you both are great.

Here we are, almost 20 episodes into the single greatest podcast of its generation, and you guys have managed to stay ad free and even buy Sam an absolutely heinous suitcase. I don’t know anything about Paris. I have never seen a second of “Emily in Paris.” I don’t even have a Netflix subscription. Half the time, I have to piece together the episode narrative from your manic, rage-filled dialogue. And yet, my neighbors must think I am crazy as I walk my dog and laugh out loud as I go on a weekly hate-tour with Bec and Sam. Liberté! Fraternité! Bucket Hats!

Sam was wonderfully funny on Office Ladies, super happy for him to have his own show with the also hilarious Bec Hill. Absolutely love their chemistry, honesty and self-awareness. And absolutely love to hate Emily 😊
