    I love this podcast 💥💥💥
So much fun! The hosts have a lively vibe, listening is like eavesdropping on two friends dishing the dirt. The audio clips included bring each episode to life - love the research and delivery. I’ll be sad when I run out of previous episodes, and have to wait for new ones.

    It’s Time
I’ve listened to this podcast since the inception and always found it very entertaining. I consider myself left leaning politically so it was also right down my alley. I noticed a shift that was subtle but not too alarming because hey, who wouldn’t think it was Scooter Braun’s fault to buy something that Taylor Swift’s own father put up for sale? A few misrepresented details here and there, no biggie. The episode of Jason Alden and Maren Morris was the tipping point for me. Mainly it was just an attack on Aldean’s wife (not a country fan and had to look up how to spell both people’s names for this review) which is whatever. One side can do no right and the other no wrong. Both ‘sides’ gave proceeds to charities, Maren Morris’s was praised, Jason Aldean’s wife’s charity in that all proceeds went to help to stop human trafficking, the female podcaster completely mocked it. Claimed she didn’t know what it was because of something said by the other party. You can disagree with anything but to make light of child trafficking is insidious. Plus all they use is buzz words so I wonder if they get tired of virtue signaling? Absolutely revolted and I hope they educate themselves about human trafficking and how it’s not fodder to be compared to ‘gender confusion’.

awesome podcast other than the constant zodiac references
love this so so much! The stories are occasionally ones I’ve heard but these guys do it way better and more interesting and thorough. The only pet peeve is the frequency Sydney attributes conduct to someone’s astrological sign. We listen at my work in the OR and we have all noticed it has become a lot. Other than that it’s perfect!

    It’s just FUN
Lighthearted quick takes in pop culture beef…. I’m all the way in!

    Lighthearted take on feuds
'Diss and Tell' gives a clever take on celebrity feuds, presenting them in an insightful manner. The hosts have great chemistry, and the range of stories is interesting and entertaining.

    This banter i do enjoy
Hello, i am someone who DOES NOT like banter or anything extra but with this show…. I enjoy the back and forth, one person is reporting and the other listens and adds some quick comments but they do not talk over each other. LOVE IT. Keep up the good work and i also ❤️ the song.

    So good
Please do more episodes on reality TV! Also Matt needs to give his hot takes more.

    Love
Would love to hear about Bobby and the fab five on an episode!

    Love This
I really enjoy this thoughtful podcast. Hosts advocate for using judgment and kindness rather than mucking up relationships with petty emotions and conceit. I am old where or who provides theme start music?

    To people writing bad reviews
For the people writing bad reviews calling the hosts “too woke” - You need to understand that the hosts can say whatever they want on THEIR OWN podcast. There are lots of podcasts about Trump, guns and Jesus - maybe go listen to one of those podcasts instead of writing bad reviews on this one. Or go make your own one. The world doesn’t revolve around you and not everything is for you. Kthanksbye.

    Good. Could be great
This show has so much potential. But some of the storytelling is missing- like if someone didn’t understand the context there is no effort made to set the scene. Also the host always seems to have a hot take that is biased and then the story suffers. Just tell us the juicy beef please.

    Loves it!
I love this podcast! Just discovered it. Sydney is so funny. I love both their voices too. But does anyone else have an issue with the play button working on this particular podcast? It works fine on all the other podcasts, but not with this one. I have to close the whole app out and restart it, and it just does this over and over.

    Another Political Podcast
This show could be fun if the hosts could put aside their politics and just tell the stories. I guess they’d rather get their liberal views out then have any conservative listeners. They obviously skipped class when they took Business 101. I enjoy Matt, but Sydney is just annoying.

    The Bias is Obvious
Some of the episodes are okay, but like others have said, they pick a side and bash the other, without any really facts. They are very “woke” and have no tolerance or understanding to anything outside of their bias. I listened to dozens before writing a review and only decided to write after others shared my view (I wanted to make sure I wasn’t over reacting). I teach middle school…they are like listening to my students discuss a topic…

    Fun! Fun! Fun!
Celebrity gossip at its best. I have been a fan of Matt Bellassai for years. I love the fun for fun’s sake nature of the show. I love to listen when getting a mani-pedi.

    Binge worthy
Obsessed with them (sorry Mariah). Such a good podcast and well worth a listen!! Escapism at its best.

    Love it:)
I love this podcast! These stories are fun and entertaining and the hosts are funny. I am hooked! Can’t wait for a Taylor and Kim episode😉🤞!

Good content but hosts dynamic is off
I really like the content of this show, clearly a lot of research goes into it. I especially appreciate how sensitive they are when children are involved, like the Brad and Angelina episode. That said, it seems like Sydney and Matt aren’t always on the same page. Sydney is goofy but Matt seems a little high-strung, like he finds her a bit annoying. I could be reading it wrong but it does sound to me like strictly like two people who work together. I typically prefer a more easy-going, friends dynamic because podcasts are a tool I use to relax.
  • robinshark
    Man hating
Listen I’ve had my issues with men & am uncomfortable around men in general bc of abuses I’ve suffered. I share this to say that even with my experiences, this podcast, especially Sydney, is so man hating that it’s become politically incorrect. If we want men to change and be safe people, is demonizing all of them and acting as if they’re all guilty of the most egregious abuses really the way to go?? Will that open their ears? I get being angry at men, but maybe work that out in therapy instead of unleashing it on a podcast. And Matt doesn’t seem like he feels able to say anything in defense, bc - all men bad. Yuck!
  • mcaaaaaaaaaa
    no.
i heard one advertisement for the harry and charles episode and immediately downloaded apple podcast onto my phone (because spotify doesn’t let you leave written reviews) to come on here to say that these two individuals have the most annoying voices i have ever heard in my life. it is literally torture. mmmm…. “siBliNg fiGhTs…” PLEASE STOP. FREE ME FROM THIS TORMENT. I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!! they also speak with the cadence of reddit neckbeards. literally absolutely unbearable that advertisement is the sole reason i will never consume any wondery media ever again.

    Loving this pod concept
I really love this show. It’s always nice to get caught up on celeb feuds from both sides. I often know of these feuds but don’t know all the reasons why they’re happening. Thanks for this amazing little tidbit of gossip for my week!
  • chs927
    Great concept
    But Sydney is insufferable…
  • ShopperOn121
    Ew Bias
Very bias. Instead of just sharing the facts of the fued , they pick a side to support and bash the other, again not using actual facts but their assumptions and opinions.
  • KH_NY
    Easy and fun listen
I loved the Harry and William episode. The concept of this show is right up my alley and really love the hosts (shoutout Unhappy Hour). Every podcast has a perspective and if you don’t like their angle then don’t listen! This isn’t The Washington Post or The NYTimes. It’s fun and engaging and they clearly cite their sources so feel free to do your own deep dive and form your own opinion. Love it!
  • ElderMillenialmom
Too far “left” for the average listener
I really wanted to like this podcast (some are great) and I listened to about a dozen before writing a review but I’m a moderate conservative and I am tired of anyone who isn’t completely woke and far left being vilified by the hosts. Share the story. We get you are strong liberals. But alienating any listener who doesn’t align with your beliefs by treating us like fools made me unfollow. It’s divisive and frankly stupid from a business perspective. Do better guys.
  • talk to me 2020
    Meh…
Sydney seems better researched than Matt. That said, it still comes across as too subjective with sooo many opinionated comments following a statement. Specifically referencing Princes William and Harry. Hosts are clearly one sided towards Harry and Meghan although they took asylum with an allegedly notorious abuser and claimed friends with ties to human trafficking. This is the equivalent of knee pads magazine as most Wondery shows are. Some shows may be entertaining, but don’t believe everything you hear. That should be their “trigger warning” . This is not a factual account of anything.
  • D-grrrl
    Your bias is showing.
I wanted to like the Harry
  • mmsurvivorfan
    Could be better
I wish this could be better but the Matt episodes are usually factually inaccurate and sometimes mean spirited. The Sydney episodes are much better.
  • nbvc75432$@&
Don’t be so quick to blame everything
on one parent, including Brad Pitt. Angelina was quick to play the victim, and continues to pursue the victim role after 8 years of separation.
  • w654902
    It’s alright
I don’t know much about pop culture histories so this is educational for me, it does feel surface level. I’m here to try to fill the Unhappy Hour hole in my heart, it doesn’t come close but I’ll keep it in rotation just the same. Likely not enough deep of a dive if you know the subjects of the episodes well.
  • Shelly Ann Wilma
    Love. This. Pod.
I’m am a Matt Belasi fan from his drinking days, which was hilarious but so glad you stopped the drinking and kept on with the funny. You tell a GOOD story. You Both do. Your co-host tells an excellent story and keeps it real and healthy. I like that. I appreciate the backstory of people on your pods. I don’t watch tv too much so I don’t know who some of the reality people are but their disses are juicy!! Fleetwood Mack, Kim Catral…. So good!! The writing and delivery are excellent in this show. Well done writers!!!

    Love the podcast and hosts
This has become my favorite podcast. The hosts are great - funny, smart, and engaging. They have great chemistry, and the content is very interesting. Keep it up!

    Celebrity Goss. NOT politics
Great lighthearted look (by two well-liked hosts) & explanation of the celeb scandals we used to see on Dlisted and still do on TMZ. Love it! Trigger warning: If too delicate or sensitive to be unable to hear truth told about the famous without leaving reviews laden with generic, meaningless “insults” that show that glass house off to its full potential…then listening while polishing your Tesla, wearing Yeezys, and muttering about conspiracy theories is not advised.

Spell out the name of your pod in promo ads!!!!
I never go search for promo/ads for pods during my regular podcast but this pods ads grabbed my attention. Stopped my pod to search in what I thought I heard, This and Tell, no luck, then This in tell, no luck, then I tried This Intell, no success, then tried This and Tale…finally typed into safari new wondery podcast this and tell and it came up. Spell it out..it sounds Too Close!!!! Promising y’all u will miss out on impatient listeners. Leaving this review to help, cause I rarely look for advertised pods & suprised I kept trying. I’m subscribing now, sounds awesome…SPELL IT IN UR ADS we’re all so lazy w/internet now…I think it will help yall

    Smart funny show
Fun gossip show - the hosts have great chemistry - a LOT of adverts to skip through but other than that, good stuff

    Stumbled on it
Was looking for some info on a beef and it led me to this pod. I’m so glad I found it! Sydney & Matt are so fun to listen to - funny, insightful, and they have such a great dynamic together. Great storytelling too. They’re comedic timing is on point and I love the editing in of the reads and quotes. My new fave pod duo!
  • Terrible Food Delivery
    Podcast is a diss-a-pointment.
They put absolutely no research into this. The stories are simply a regurgitation of what everyone’s read in the paper. No new material. Boring. And it’s offensive that they ripped off Ben

tea-filled celeb gossip pod you need in your life
Love this podcast! It’s become a new favorite of mine. The hosts are funny and likeable, and I enjoy their ongoing side commentary. I’ve enjoyed every episode, even when the story involves celebs I don’t particularly care about. I wish they published episodes more frequently!!
  • hyperskreem
    Insufferable
Matt’s voice is like nails on a chalk board… they can’t help but inject social justice garbage in every episode. NEXT!!!
  • lblackard
Didn’t expect to love this so much
So glad I heard this recommended on another pod! It’s so entertaining and really interesting! I also feel like the hosts maintain some level of neutrality as to not stir up more drama, they share both sides. I would love to hear something about the Playboy world (Holly & Kendra). Keep up the good work!

    A delight
Came here to hear Matt Belissi talk about Samantha Jones… stayed because it’s great. I’ve listened to most all episodes and it’s great story telling with some humor. And both hosts stay pretty kind the whole time which is refreshing… and the intro song is fun!
  • chazkatpantsfree
    Meh
I really wanted to like the podcast cause it has potential but y’all give mad “mean girl” energy. Matt comes off out of touch and un relatable.
  • ceb7766
    It’s ok
I have a hard time listening to how contrived the conversation is, including the banter and jokes. It’s a bit similar to this style of conversation/reporting, to This American Life, but off. It pulls me out of the story.
  • EllieFromTheStars
    Super fun!
I’ve learned so much, and heard about a ton of drama, that I never even knew existed! Thanks for the deep dives :)
  • BeccaGrobe
    Pushing their opinion
I really enjoyed this show for quite awhile because I love celebrity news and gossip. But when the Dixie Chicks and Toby Keith episode came out they were so one sided. I couldn’t care less about either of those people/bands but it made it hard to listen because the hosts were shoving their opinion about it down your throat. Very one sided. When in reality they just need to tell the story, not take a side.

    Diss and tell
This is filling part of the unhappy hour sized hole in my heart. I always love Matt’s sense of humor and he and Sydney play well off each other.
  • Mrsketchys Review
    Outrageously Funny
I have never been one to follow celebrities. I have at most an elementary school knowledge, you know “X hates Y”. But this podcast changed everything. Part history lesson, part cultural critique and chocked FULL of the most brutal one liners I have ever heard in my life (from the celebrities; but the hosts commentary on it all is soooo funny). I mean where do I even begin … the Azealia Banks episode? Had me losing it, in public. I looked like a fool gasping for breath I was laughing so hard. The hosts dramatic reading of those tweets… give them an award. And the podcast isn’t not cruel. I love they acknowledge the humanity of folks involved. But they’re also not afraid to embrace that yeah … a celebrity’s mess can be hilarious on one level or another. If you could use a little schadenfreude? Give it a listen.
