Enough. All this podcast does is continue to relitigate the poor innocent Sussexes / mean Waleses false ditchonmy and continue the double standard for Meghan v Kate. Kristen blindly defends the Sussexes and can't even resist making a snarky comment about the Waleses’ marriage in the video announcing she's done with cancer. But of course she never said the same for the Sussexes’ Netflix series they made millions on. And some of us see this differently because we have experienced family abuse and estrangement—but of course that's never considered, it seems.

I love this podcast. I found Kristin from her Harry and Meghan podcast. I look forward to listening each week when I’m driving to the hospital to deliver a baby in the middle of the night. The hosts keep me laughing which helps me to stay awake and get energized. Thanks for this podcast. Keep up the good work.

I found this pod when looking for more of Kristin‘s work after picking up her book ‘So You Want to Start a Podcast’. I am always sure to get my news from multiple sources, but too much of today’s news is just that…too much! Thank you both so much for fact checking and keeping these crazy times a little lighter!

Come for the laughs and snark, stay to learn how to be a more educated consumer of what too often passes for news. This makes Fridays just that little bit better.

Takes forever to actually get to the subject. One sided opinions and they just blather on and on before finally getting to actual article that they are referencing.

They are enjoyable to listen to, but often their comments reflect that they don’t know a lot about British culture when they give their opinions on the Royal Family.

These hosts are petty and biased. I’ll go listen to something wittier and original.

I’ve enjoyed Kristen when she’s guested on Pop Culture Happy Hour, but I’m not a fan of this show. There isn’t enough substance to each critique and the hosts reiterate the same points over and over. I also find it juvenile and silly, and don’t like listening to the hosts laugh at their own weak jokes. I gave it several episodes, but this week quit halfway through. Making fun of any teenager is a bad look and convinced me I was done with the show.

This is my weekly must-listen, the antidote to the biased and sloppy writing of tabloids. Calling out promotions disguised as reporting, tentative language/hedging, conflicts of interest, racism, misogyny, and grammatical anomalies, this show will keep your critical thinking skills sharp!

Whoever the new co-host is I cannot take her juvenile style. It’s like listening to a high schooler. She also interrupts the other lady who makes good and valid points throughout. The “sounds” She makes are not cute, they’re unprofessional.

So smart, so perceptive, so funny. I laugh out loud during each episode!

This podcast is a delight. It’s smart and funny. They just want the tabloids to be less creepy 😉

These hosts are whip smart, incisive, and very funny. It is a joy to listen to this nuanced take on a tabloid-filled culture.

Enjoy this podcast as it’s a lighthearted way to examine media coverage amid tabloids, Murdoch news publications, NY Post, Etc. the two hosts, Maura & Kristen are smart, and humorous and offer keen insight without being mean. They know when to take crazy stories as serious ones to break down and examine the pitfalls of letting them fester and which crazy stories are the zeitgeist having fun. Plus as an older person working with millennials and GenZers, it keeps me current on some pop culture.

It’s telling that in the last 24 hours these two podcasters have had to change the titles and captions for all of their recent episodes. In case you missed it before they started trying to backpedal, here’s what they’ve been up to…Under the guise of sending up a well known tabloid rag, these two have revealed themselves to be just as bad or worse as they have spent weeks leading up to the Princess of Wales’s cancer diagnosis harassing her, fanning the flames of conspiracy theory, telling everyone they know exactly what is wrong with her (they didn’t), accusing her of being lazy, and complaining that she didn’t just come out and reveal her private medical problems to the general public (you know, like I’m sure they would be willing to do themselves). They also encouraged the William affair rumors and lightly tittered over the recent tragic suicide of Thomas Kingston. No trigger warnings for royal suicides it seems. Yes, the Daily —— is garbage journalism, but at least they don’t claim to be kind, compassionate enlightened journos while wreaking havoc and trashing people’s lives, unlike these two.

Just discovered this one as I was looking for more Where is Kate pods. These women are so funny, very clear and easy to listen to. So happy to have discovered them!!

I love listening to Kristen and Maura’s takes on the ridiculousness that is tabloid culture. They play off each other really well and always have great insight. A lot of times I find myself saying out loud “Yes!” in response to their conversation. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Found this podcast just this week. So good! The 2 hosts are so good, and likable. I was actually looking for something about Princess Catherine. But all the other episodes look interesting, so I have a lot to catch up on. Glad I found you.

I love the hosts of this show - they’re dynamic and great to listen to. I love how they call out media and bring attention to hypocrisy.

This is a great look at how tabloids prey on vulnerable people and complicated issues. The hosts are smart and they’re careful about separating truth from possible fiction. You are not going to walk away believing any conspiracy theories (eyeroll)

I love getting royal updates. One tip for this podcast, though, might be for Kristen to get to the point faster. It’s like she’s trying to stretch time out. I regularly skip ahead 15 seconds and when I hit play, I find that she’s still getting nearer to the point. She might even fancy herself building suspense, but really it’s just a display of burying the lede; this podcast has major word salad, and it doesn’t have to be that way. I just listened to the episode about how Princess Kate has disappeared (episode in early March 2024; Idk the exact publish date), and Kristen kept repeating herself, actually repeating preamble that had just been said moments before. Seems like a real glitch in the Matrix. It definitely leaves the impression that this podcast is fluff, and she has to stretch things out to make the episode longer. I don’t enjoy that.

Wow. First they issue a very sarcastic “we don’t think this is true” then they list the crazy conspiracy theories on that cesspool Twitter and discuss them (because of course they want to promote the trash). Then they claim they think they know what is happening with Catherine because some “well connected” person told them, and they start to discuss what may or may not be her illness, but in a way that some people listening will now believe to be factual when in fact these two are as clueless as everyone outside of Catherine’s immediate family. Two seriously nasty hosts laughing and giggling while spreading their bile, yuck.

—and Kind! As they critique tabloid culture in general and The Daily Fail in particular, these girls make you smile.

I stumbled upon this clever podcast and am glad I did! It reminds me of Molly McPherson’s pod PR Confidential where she peels back the strategy behind PR attempts. The Fail is the best!

The only complaint I have is there isn’t enough episodes. Hilarious!

This has become one of my favorite podcasts! I have no idea what publication they are talking about 😉 but love listening to the hosts discuss ridiculous articles each week. They are intelligent and witty. Looking forward to more episodes!

I didn’t even realize how pernicious tabloids are, so this podcast has been very educational! Although the themes are frustrating, ie how the media can promote racist and sexist lenses on basically any story, the hosts make each episode funny and delightful.

I would always see Daily Mail articles pop up in my google news or or Threads feed, and when I read them I questioned wether they were a legit news source. After I listened to one episode of this hilarious podcast I realized my suspicion was accurate, they are garbage! I now listen to every episode while I blocked Daily Mail from my Google feed 🤣

I think I’m addicted to this show. I wait for the episodes each week and wish it was a daily show .! The commentary and chemistry between Kristen and Maura is fantastic - love hearing them break down the Daily Fails. Great great great!

I’m so glad I stumbled across this podcast randomly. I don’t read tabloids, but catch some of the headlines when I’m stuck in a grocery queue. They’re always ridiculous and this tabloid is one of the worst offenders. The podcast is perfect comic relief balance out the tabloid’s absurdity.

Such a sad reflection of how far we haven’t come…but you both make it so funny (I too was horrified by the lack of mammoth fluffiness!!). The only problem is the people who find humor in this new podcast are not the people who need to hear it. But…I wait for every episode!!! 10 stars (5 for each of you) 😂

In the past, every time I saw an “article” from the paper that must not be named, I was convinced that I was the ONLY person in the world who saw the racism, misogyny, and all around ick. I’m glad to know that I am not alone. I enjoy this podcast immensely.
