I Wish I Had Learned of This Podcast Long Ago
I wish I had found this podcast 10 years ago when my perimenopause started. I’m sure I would be in a completely different place physically, mentally, and emotionally. I started listening from the beginning a couple weeks ago and have learned so much in just the first few episodes. I look forward to continuing this podcast journey and bettering all aspects of myself.

Decent podcast - don’t enroll in program
I found Stephanie and it was a fresh approach to dealing with my weight loss challenges. The program did help me realize that I was not managing my stress and gave me techniques to help with stress management. I did a reverse diet where I gained 15 pounds (I was at a healthy weight) and 3 inches around my waist. When I raised a concern about the weight gain, I was told it was my fault for not reporting my weight daily even though I was not told to weigh daily. When I finally started a deficit I raised a concern that it might not be the right time because it was during allergy season and I generally don’t sleep well and am fatigued. My coach told me it was a mindset issue. We had a plan to cut calories every 2 weeks. After the first weight, I didn’t lose so my coach cut my calories. This continued every week until 6 weeks when I was so hungry, exhausted and injured that I pulled myself out of the cut. My coach told me that we could resume the cut next week. I told her that I was not going to continue with the cut and until I was 100% healthy and injury free. It took me 4 months to heal from injury (likely an overuse injury from doing the exact same exercises for 6 months) and 2 months until I was healthy. I never went back to the program because I did not think my coach had my best interests in mind. I did talk to Stephanie and she received a different account from my coach. I believe this program works if you fit the template but if you are someone who whooshes like me, then this program may not work for you.

I just stumbled across this podcast recently. I have been listening to many episodes and I really like Stephanie's approach, and she is very knowledgeable about nutrition with women, especially in perimenopause/menopause stage of life. One of the best podcasts about menopause
I have been binge listening to this show since discovering it last week. I’ve finally realized that I’m entering menopause and I’m struggling hard with weight gain, mood swings, hot flashes and emotional regulation. I love this podcast!

    Best, Most Comprehensive l
I am in perimenopause. I am also someone who has generally took pretty good care of a body that has fully revolted against me, lol! I’ve searched podcasts, audiobooks, websites, friends looking for information on how this all works and what can I do to stop gaining weight, feel my best, and live a happy life in this body during this time of drastic change. This podcast is hands down the best most comprehensive resource for me. I’ve gather little snippets of information in my search and when I found this podcast, all that information is here PLUS more presented in an understandable, relatable way! Thank you! I highly recommend this as a first resource for anyone trying to find their way through menopause.

Menopausal Answer Depot, subscribe & listen
Thank you! Finally someone who gets me! After listening first 10min I was so relieved, my cortisol level literally dropped! You had all the answers to what I'm experiencing. I'm so prepared for my next doctors appointment.Recently I've had basic blood tests with some abnormalities, with a prescription to make lifestyle changes (what? more?) I'm BRCA1 positive, prophylactic mastectomy, hysterectomy by age 43. I've never had a physician thoroughly discuss the effects of menopause, aside from hot flashes, some skin and weight changes and low libido. (Seriously my Mom could have told me that, and she did). Now at 49 my body is always fluctuating and I feel its affecting my mental health. It's exhausting trying to find the answers to what's happening to your menopausal body and what works for you. Its especially exhausting when doctors limit themselves with menopausal treatments and research. Finding your voice lifted me up. So happy I found and shared your podcast with my sisters who are experiencing this as well. God bless.

    So happy for menopause info
I am so glad I found this podcast--so much valuable information. I am 60 and it has been really hard to find good podcasts about being post menopausal. Almost every pod on women covers our cycles and only very briefly talk about the post-menopausal woman. Almost as if we are an afterthought. We are active and want to FEEL good. I am glad for the help here. Some advice though is to try to reduce the "um's". Today I listened to the most recent show and there was an "um" every other sentence it seemed. Filler words and phrases ("that's a great question", "to your point") can be so distracting.

    We needed to hear this.
Dear Stephanie, I just listened to your podcast on body image and it was my favorite so far. I was very moved by your personal stories about your mom and giving birth (felt like crying with you), past teachers’ comments and challenges in your current life. This was soo relatable! Know you really have a gift for talking women’s issues: your podcast has helped me tremendously during my own menopause and I’ve shared it with my ‘tribe’. Thank you. You’re making such an impact. I appreciate you so much
Thank you for doing this podcast! I’m a 38y/o ovarian cancer survivor in surgical menopause and I can’t express how much I appreciate all these tips. I learned more about estrogen control from your one episode than I have from my oncologist— I’m on an estrogen suppressant as I had the LGSOC, which is sensitive to estrogen. Thank you again!

    So great!
There is so much information provided and yet it all makes sense…which is such a great thing during this time of life when nothing makes any sense!

Such a valuable resource for mid-life women.
Do yourself a favor and listen to this podcast!! My sister tipped me off to this podcast last summer and I’m so thankful she did! Stephanie provides a wealth of valuable information to women in their mid-life years. She does a fantastic job explaining the science of aging female bodies and changing hormones, but does it in a very layman-friendly way. I listen intently to each episode every week. I have learned so much and have made some extremely helpful and beneficial changes to my diet and lifestyle because of what I have learned from Stephanie. You can absolutely tell she is passionate about her job of helping women on their perimenopause and menopause journey. Thank you, Stephanie!!!

This is some useful information when it comes to metabolism and menopause. She has helped me alot. Thank you
  • PedRNLori
Wonderful adjunct to my previous knowledge!
I have been on a wellness journey for 6 years. At beginning lost the 20 lbs I needed to and began to instill healthy diet habits and exercise (I was 44). I’ve remained pretty stable and felt good until last summer (the summer before I turned 50 in Dec). Belly fat crept up, sleep not as solid, exercise not “feeling good” and I hadn’t changed any of the healthy habits I was living. I came across Stephanie in facebook one day and her words game me perspectives which I hadn’t thought of. I began higher protein and allowed the new knowledge to calm my nerves. Huge thank u to you for educating us all!

    Passionate About Women’s Hormone Health!
Stephanie does an amazing job of explaining things about hormones that your Mom never told you, and your doctor probably won’t. If you are struggling with the peri/ menopause part of your life, do yourself a favor and listen to her podcasts! Not just once but twice. There’s SO much good information.

    So informational and encouraging!
I have listened to all of Stephanie’s podcasts and some more than once. Her passion for helping those of us in menopause is very evident and appreciated. I am on week 4 after joining a zoom session, and I’m feeling great! I am up to the calories and protein goals for maintenance. It just keeps getting better! Thank you so much, Stephanie. Can’t wait for the next episode!

    Straightforward helpful guidance
Straigforward and realistic approach to menopause weight management. Reverse dieting has helped my relationship with food, encouraged me to strength train focusing on building muscle and balancing meals rather than restriction.

    Best podcast
If you want to learn something then this the podcast to listen to. Stephanie has so much knowledge and so willingly shares everything. You can tell she has a desire to help people and money isn’t the motive. So happy to find her and the podcast.

    Changed my life and lifestyle
Stumbled upon this podcast about six months ago when I gained 10 pounds out of nowhere. Love the content and Stephanie’s in-depth analysis on how your body really works in perimenopause and menopause…and the myth-busting things to do about it. Also did a six-week program with one of her health coaches, and loved it. I am building muscle AND eating more! Thank you for this podcast.

    Finally!!!
I have searched and searched for answers as to why my body is not responding to ANY of the strategies I have tried to lose weight post menopause and then I found Stephanie’s podcast. Her work is an answer to prayer! So informative, science and fact based. Now to absorb and put it to action!!!

    Most shared!
I didn’t learn to share podcast episodes until this one. 100% love the candid, real world view. #CTFO and “eat the carbs”. The first episode I heard was new year’s 2024. And I was hooked with the list of don’t do, cuz… TBH… I was already doing them… and they weren’t working. Eating 2000 calories a day and was bench pressing and squatting 75 pounds 30 days later. Love this pod!

Such a relief to have an effective path forward
I’ve watched a dozen or more of Stephanie’s podcasts. They are clear and convincing and they open the door to a whole new way of looking at health in peri/menopause (and really your whole life). After so many years of calorie restrictive diets that don’t make sense and don’t work, Stephanie explains why and how to get healthy and treat yourself humanely. The steps are incremental and doable and you just fall into the program adding good habits as you go. So many programs are behind a firewall—this one freely gives you the information and help upfront generously and is there with paid options only if you desire the extra support.

    Blood Sugar Control
Thank Goodness for this episode. I recently had wellness bloodwork completed at my Drs office. I’ve been consistently strength training, eating more and not doing crazy cardio for almost a year. I also lost 18 pounds this year. I thought I’d see great improvement - was I ever wrong! The advice from the Drs office was NOT helpful -( less bacon and eggs more Cheerios ) My fasting A1C 5.7! Total cholesterol 213!! These results were After loosing weight and putting on muscle. Thank You Stephanie for your fabulous explanations. You gave concrete , easy to incorporate suggestions. Head and shoulders better than the advice from my Drs office. ( no shade on Cheerios - but I’ve outgrown eating them😂)

Stephanie is full of useful information and loves to share her knowledge of all things perimenopause and menopause. So happy I found this group a couple years ago. I have learned so much and implemented many new habits as a result of what Stephanie and her team have taught me.

    Thank You!
You and your team give fantastic advice in a way that is easy to understand and solutions that are easy to implement. I’m so glad I found you. There is no magic formula just understanding how the body functions (or not) in menopause and clear guidelines on what to do. Doctors just don’t get it.

    Just…THANK YOU
Stephanie’s podcasts are validating in that I’m not crazy or whiny or making up excuses for things. She explains things so they are relatable and understandable. (She is funny and adorable, too.) Her content touches on all the things that needed explaining and she explains why things are/are not working for me/you/us. She helps me be able to help myself properly and effectively. I love her podcasts and her voice is so nice to listen to. I am so grateful for catching her TikTok for it lead me to a whole new understanding of me. Thank you, Stephanie!

What I love about this podcast as well as many others are the realistic tips offered to help us learn about how our bodies work. Information is gladly shared and many of the tips can literally be done by just slow breathing and slowing down overall. Great information to help us get feeling better.
