Milkless: Dad's Investigating Legendary Fatherhood

23

Searching for that parenthood balance so when our kids are old they look back and say, "yeah, my dad (or mom) was awesome," however we get there. And while we love our kids unconditionally, that doesn't mean we're wimpy pushover dads who have lost every shred of dignity and respect in the home. Let's find that balance together. We are Max Valverde and Matt Naylor. We are MILKLESS.

I want to hang out with these guys
This podcast is my new favorite thing. As a dad who tries hard to be a good parent, but also gets annoyed with his kids, and also likes to swear, this podcast feels like coming home. It’s so fun, and I wish we could hang out in person and share stories about fatherhood. Must listen!

    Real. Funny. Full of heart.
Matt and Max make you feel like you're part of the conversation. They care about the work and the thought and intention necessary to be a parent. They're curious and open to being wrong. Getting to hear them share ideas, learnings, failures and successes with each other is something all parents (especially dad's) need more of these days. Keep 'em coming guys!

    THE best.
We just love these guys. It’s honestly so refreshing to hear real and raw insight on parenting from two *dads* who are in the trenches with us. My husband and I have spent the last 8 years of parenting listening to all the podcasts and reading all the books and articles to help guide us on this journey. A majority of those voices have been women - which is awesome, of course - but it’s amazing having these relatable voices for my husband and all the families (esp. the men) in our lives we’ve forwarded the episodes to. And they’re freaking funny, so it’s not only insightful and practical, but super entertaining. Keep going, brothas!!

    Don’t stop!!
Love this podcast so much. As a new parent this helps me explore a lot of topics and offers me a ton to consider about parenting, in a digestible and interesting format. Thank you both!!

    Milk-full? And still love!
I’m a new mom and love this podcast!! Super relatable (and funny) even though I’m a mom… and helps me get some insight into my husband too. I’ve told several stories from the pod to friends and it has helped change my mindset in several hard situations! Thank you guys!! Keep the pod going forever!

So good - Who ARE those guys?
Amazing podcast - funny, insightful and an easy listen. Learned a lot, too. Highly recommend.

    Funny, factual, fantastic
I’ve been looking for a parenting podcast for a while and they’re all so cheesy. This is the first one I’ve found that hits on serious topics in a way I haven’t seen. They appear to do a bunch of research before every episode, yet there’s solid banter that has me laughing super hard and yet none of their learnings or advice ever feel like I’m being talked down to. Super approachable and I await every episode. Love these guys!

The Dad podcast I’ve been searching for!
Love the podcast—as a dad to a 2.5 year old + newborn, I’ve been searching high and low for a parenting podcast for dads for 2.5 years and I’ve finally found it. Matt and Max have great chemistry. They’re well-spoken, funny, relatable and I appreciate the thoughtfulness they put into their topics. They do just the right amount of research and prep work but fill up the rest of the air with playful banter and commentary. Keep it up, guys! Would love to hear an episode (or just more in general) about you two as individuals. E.g. what you two do for a living, how’d you both got to where you are, how you know each other, how you started the podcast, etc!

    Great dad pod
I will subscribe to this podcast. It’s thoughtful and helpful. It has good and interesting hosts who keep it conversational but clearly come prepared with a framework for discussion. It leaves the listener with takeaways. As a dad with two boys under five, the content of this pod hits on the heart of what I see and feel; I ended the first episode inspired.
