    Evil Narcissists and a Karen
Basically the tragic (boring) tale of an evil narcissist husband who is married to a massive “Karen”. Evil Narcissist husband has an affair with a trashy evil narcissist lady, and they try to have the “Karen” murdered. Its not very interesting, other than the parts where the evil narcissist husband actually trying to make himself seem like the victim are kind of funny (but still typical). None of the main people in this story are likable. It really could have been one long episode, instead of a series. You can figure out the whole story from the first episode. Keith’s narration and interviewing are excellent, as always.

Loved this story and I'm glad that; that man and his mistress got exactly what they deserved.

Deep dive into this sad hit-for-hire
I had heard a brief version of this sad story but this podcast was a truly deep dive into it. Thanks for attempting to get into each person’s involvement in this sad , but true, experience.

    Padded and stretched out
Boy, they really had to stretch this one out. It could easily have been an hour or less episode. You can tell Keith Morrison is struggling when he’s describing where the jury is sitting in relation to the judge’s eyesight, how a jury votes by raising their hands (Oh really? I thought they used telepathy), etc.. And he lets one of the protagonists, Nancy, talk at length, and she is the most annoying human I think I’ve ever heard. Rare miss from Keith and the gang. Skip this one and listen to his Girl and the Blue Mustang podcast.

What a great podcast. The twists and turns. Keith and Josh always present the best produced podcasts. Thank you.

    Boring
I love Dateline and Keith Morrison but this podcast series was boring. Maybe enough for a condensed 30 min episode but not enough to stretch out over multiple episodes. Not the production quality of other similar true crime podcasts.

It’s Keith narrating. You know it’s a good one.
When Keith is narrator you know it’s going to deserve 5 stars.

    Boring
I found this podcast uninteresting compared to the others. It failed to hold my attention.

    Dude, I get it
This woman is so wretched I'm having an impossible time being mad at him for putting a hit on her.

    Unlike Other Dateline Stories
Just based on who is being interviewed for the story, the largest part of the plot is given away. But I liked that made it unlike other dateline stories and the people were intriguing enough you’ll keep listening just to see if the husband is convicted.

    Can you blame him?

Small God gets you a hefty jail sentence
Interesting that Wendy’s talk of her “amazing” and life-long relationship with God is non-existent at the end of the last episode when she whines “it’s not fair….” What a small God she must have to end up with the short end of the stick is what strikes me. I must say I wish that when they portray this kind of thing on Dateline, that they would also have a professional mental health expert or psychologist to give some context to what we are watching. Because I think there are folks watching who maybe are in a similar relationship or know others that are and don’t know what they are looking at. Watching it on TV normalizes what is textbook pathological codependent, addictive, and abusive behavior. I’m so heartened to hear that the other dude got sober and that was the key to success for him. Also interesting the difference in the two parties interpretation of “God” Just wish Chris and her would tell the truth. It’s almost they do violence every time they lie about it, grrrrrrr😡

No, I won’t count to five!!
The repeated distracted driving ad is driving me crazy!! The ad’s way more distracting than actually texting and driving. I’m afraid I’ll end up on dateline if I have to listen to it one more time! 🙄

    Great Story
Loved the story. I paid for the subscription just to not be interrupted from this great story. Keith Morrison is the best at reporting/telling any story. He makes reporting sound poetic! Looking to find another podcast with him reporting.

    Very good!
Thoroughly enjoyed podcast even though I already knew the story and outcome! Really enjoyed the updates on all the people involved.

    KEITH 😍
Always a great listen when it’s Keith telling the story!!

    Storytelling, not reporting
Couldn’t make it past episode one. Not factually presented at all. Full of judgment and side eye. Can’t help themselves from blasting characters for their tattoos, repeatedly calling them junkies. Clearly successful at weaving money making stories, but absolutely not journalism of any kind.

    Keith Morrison! 😍
Great, crazy story delivered by the GOAT! Amazing!

    Very interesting Magnolias story
Fast paced story with very likable And relatable Mom. Can’t believe SC still says a man’s infidelity doesn’t matter in court!!!

    Magnificent
I absolutely loved it. Crazy story! I felt like it provide a well rounded story. Even the victim admitted to her part.

    Dragged out
I couldn’t listen after a few episodes; it was too dragged out and Nancy was annoying. Why did she waste her time investigating? Walk away woman!
  • georgianna conn
Paid and can only get to episode 2!
I love paying subscriptions only to not be able to hear the whole series, said no one ever. I’ve reported concern and still not a thing done about it!

    Mind You
Here’s one small example of what makes Keith Morrison incomparable: “Mind you, seemed to work….” No one delivers a story like him.
  • noblefan
    Great weaving tale
Well told. What disgusting people. Chris Latham and his girlfriend are the lowest of all beings. In the interviews His voice disgusted me and he never addressed the obvious. So completely guilty.

Keith Morrison is fantastic, he brings the stories to life. He’s the best storyteller since Paul Harvey. I enjoyed every episode.

Just Google the story and save yourself
As always the story is presented well. But Nancy and her two daughters became more than I could take. I finally quit with 2 episodes to go. While you can’t help but sympathize with them, they are terribly unlikeable. She beams as she talks about beating her brother with a bat, using her own children as pawns and having them help her stalk her ex online. Her own biggest fan, Nancy’s pride in her own terrible behavior… and the host indulging it wore me out. Nobody deserves to be put through what she was… but I wouldn’t be surprised if she had done the same thing. This is a case of absolute entitlement from all sides and a group of petty adults acting like children. Hoping for better from Dateline next time.

    To Mr. Keith Morrison
You have THE BEST Voice for Podcasts! I would love to have you record my Cell Phone’s “Voice Memo” for anyone who leaves a voice message like: ______ is unavailable to answer this call. If this is someone trying to swindle______ out of Money $$$$ this phone will have tracked you by the time you hang up!! This is _______’s friend, Keith Morrison had if you are smart you will hang up within the next 7 seconds! (Then give a very creepy: “Goodbye”!) You are one of my heroes!!

    Crazy story
This was a crazy story that was expertly read like a movie. I couldn’t stop listening.

    Keith! Says it all!
Once again I was lured by the voice, professionalism and swag of this man! Keith he lulls you into the craziest stories and keeps your you hooked! What a story! Only one man can tell it with poise and tenor of a great narrator.: absolutely loved it! All these comments about Nancy being vindictive, come on! We are ALL ugly sometimes in life and divorce brings out the worst in people… maybe there are “better” stories out there but this is not only a human tale but a cautionary tale… learn from the mistakes made and recounted here rather than criticize …. I am ready for the next one Dateline! Get on it!

    Wow
I graduated from the College of Charleston in 2000 and so I lived in Charleston from 1996-2000. It’s a city I know and love. Somehow this story snuck by me. Keith Morrison tells a fantastic story!!! Love his voice and the way he tells a tale! Great podcast!

Classic Dateline drama, but mediocre story
I agree with one of the other reviewers that said these are not really likeable people. Im a long, long Dateline fan, but this story wasn’t really all that “captivating”. There are better stories and podcasts out there.

    Very much enjoyed.

    Keith Morrison sounds
Good reading the phone book. These are not like-able people but the story is so insane that I enjoyed it

    Excellent story
The story was executed quite well. Keith has a way to tell the story and never leaves you down! I read the reviews and agree Nancy was overwhelming and extremely vindictive. Truly from the beginning beating her brother with the bat shows she needs help, she was proud to tell that violent act, scary. Regardless her personality qualities she did not deserve to go through the fear of what happened. MOST IMPORTANT! My heart goes to the children involved. First they have to go through a bitter divorce, a bitter mother, their father wants nothing to do with them, (I’m sure it was because the father couldn’t deal with Nancy), and then they have to put up with a crazed Mother that was so angry she spent all her time torturing her husband. Poor girls, it makes me so sad!! I hope they are doing okay?
  • Stace54
    Meh
I will have to agree with the comments. It was painful to listen to Nancy - she’s very obnoxious. But I’m happy she was okay and doing well.
  • JennaT0424
    Overall, boring
I love Dateline but this was one of the most boring shows I’ve listed to. Nancy is not someone that should be highlighted.
  • hsjzjsle d
    Enough Victim Blaming!
The victim blaming in the comments is appalling. If Nancy were a man with the same personality, those same people would be applauding him. Other than the comments, the podcast was good. Exactly what I would expect from Dateline.
  • Beefcake III
Not condoning it, but I understand
Listen to Nancy long enough and you’ll be rooting for the bad guys
