GWillyDOne of the best college football podcasts.Could be a sign of the changing times, but I moved away from other podcasters that were clearly SEC shills. Greg provides insights into college football grounded in reality. Appreciated by fans of the sport.

Mike in BerkeleyOccasionally goodI don’t want to rip host Greg McElroy, he’s very enthusiastic and knows a lot about football. But he is not great with words. Listen to the College Football Gameday podcast, with Rece Davis, Pete Thamel and Ryan McGee. They are writers, wordsmiths. Their descriptions and observations are much better crafted than Greg’s. He sounds very much like a football player. In his game previews, he does a good job of asking the questions that will help determine who will win. His football knowledge pays off. But in the episodes looking back at a game, he doesn’t offer much more than recapping what happened. We all watched the game and know what happened. Those episodes can be pretty worthless. He should invite guests in, as he has on certain episodes. Those can be much better than the usual, which is Greg all alone.

mrjim1We Need To Talk!As a fan of a Non-Big 10/SEC school I keep rolling my eyes when I hear more power and advantage given to these two conferences if the format gets tweaked. Does it need tinkering? Yes. What I’m afraid of is if Clemson or West Virginia are undefeated and are consistently ranked in the top 2 they may fall back to the bottom half of the committee’s ranking and get a bad draw if Greg’s format comes to fruition. That’s why a fan symposium needs to be conducted. Other than that great podcast Greg. Keep up the good work. Stay warm brother.

NativeTexicanDismantled?FSU fans were right, you really are an idiot. OSU beat TEXAS. Alabama got dismantled by OU and by Michigan.
-
Ktr747Elite AnalysisGreg is really good at identifying what will end up deciding games.

Joe- AtlantaGreg McElroy- The Real DealGreg McElroy is one of the few people in college football media who actually WORKS at his job- and it shows! He studies film, knows what to look for, is never influenced by hype and is totally dedicated to his craft.

RobertTop5Straight ShooterI’m a fan of Michigan and GMC has shot it straight from the hip. He was bullish 21-23 and dovish this season. Appreciate the straight (sometimes painful) talk and depth of analysis. As an aside: I hate the 12 team playoff. CFB has bargained off the tragedy and inherent unfairness of the regular season. More than two losses, you’re out. One catastrophic loss, better luck next year. Now, everyone can be elite 🤷🏾♂️. I’m afraid college football has decided bigger is better and more is appetizing. Yes, the casual fan cares a little more but the casual is annoying. I’d rather talk to a Spartan or Buckeye that hates my team as much as I loathe theirs. Needed to rant, keep it going.

HawkisCollege football infoGreat podcast on college football one of my go to and am a FSU fan don’t understand the hate
-
OSU Chicago ChrisGreat Insights - Top 5 College Football PodcastThe 3.6 rating is ridiculous & obviously from anti-Alabama folks - Greg is one of best voices in college football - I listen every week during the season for honest objective analysis - he’s an A list TV analyst as well - this is from a Buckeyes fan

dougjagSimply The BestAs a Vol4Life its head to say this but LOVE what Greg does on this show! The number of shows per week keeps me jonesing for the next episode. His in depth analysis of ALL teams is superb and then throw in the occasional big time guests…magic! Thanks Greg & team! Go VOLS!!!! GBO

RichardlovescollegefootballGreg macelroy does an excellent college football podcastGreg does an excellent college football podcast. Because he played the game himself at a high level he knows the X’s and O’s of football, and he gives just the right amount of technical analysis without going too far above my head. If you watch Josh Pate or Joel Klatt you should give Always College Football a listen. He has his own style and delivery that I appreciate. He doesn’t get hysterical or hyperbolic - just good lively college football analysis. He has a fun delivery and a good sense of humor. He is personable and not angry or arrogant. He loves the game and it shows. I listen to every single episode. I also particularly appreciate his Sunday morning show, as it is the first take on the Saturday games.
-
IsaiahK27Are we actually watching games?Cowherd questioning if OSU can run an 8 minute drive to end the game when OSU literally had a 6 minute drive all run plays to end the game against Penn St. a few weeks ago. Just say you don’t watch the games.
-
fix autorefreshSurprised how much I liked thisGreg is super level-headed and doesn’t try to do a hot takes podcast. He builds his opinions off what he sees in the games and doesn’t tied up in narratives. This was an easy follow once I heard it.

YoyoHustenThe go to. Top college info available! Bar noneBeen listening for couple years and have to say I dare not place a bet or decide a game without listening to McElroy first. Amazing insight from someone who actually played football and at a high level in big time program. Beware of taking too much advice from someone or podcasts who’s never played a down or put in a helmet. No one else I trust for the best team and game overview. If your not listening your not getting what you need to either make a bet or know your football.

HellOnWheels13Love the showI love the show but man no love for Notre Dame you talked about every other team but them like I said love the show.
-
TheIceManCookethSnubbed the Vets on Veterans DayReferencing your 11/11/2024 episode…..you say “Make a Wish” but you don’t thank the Veterans in Veterans Day? Terrible. Jim Rome thanked the Vets on his radio show. Why not you?
-
ScottS-TXGreat showGreg is knowledgeable, authentic and entertaining. He also gets great guests from time to time but can carry the show by himself and is not reliant on guests to entertain.
-
Al 4242Very informativeI find Greg to be very knowledgeable of the current state of college football.
-
Jimmy ViscosityGenuine unbiased and knowledgeableIf you think this show is biased, or just “always hates on my team”…. Then chances are, your team probably is not very good, and you should accept that you are in “FBS diehard denial”. Its okay. All of our teams have sucked at one point
-
Elway28Great AnalysisAlways objective and incredibly informative. Go Dogs!
-
RollindbA Cut AboveI subscribe to several CFB podcasts. Greg’s is the one I always listen to because it is all substance with no time wasted on silliness. Greg consistently informs concisely and objectively. He is obviously remains a serious student of the game with a passion for it. It also helps that he has a great delivery.

MDCAMWGreg is one of the best!Always fair, good guests and intelligent analysis

Js12397Favors top teams, not SECI’ve been listening to the show for for over 2 years and while I am a very strong big 10 fan, I am a bigger college football fan. I can see how some might feel this show leaning towards the SEC, but I appreciate that they are just talking about the top ranked teams, regardless of conference. I wouldn’t take that as a bias. I appreciate that this show tends to cover a broad range of topics. I like the overall schedule of the program throughout the week, and I appreciate the format. Overall, I find it very professional and enjoyable.
-
gdmf12TruthI love the way Greg breaks the games down and tells it like it is. I believe it’s a great show.
-
Blucas55Great College Football Insights!I just can’t take his personality any more.
-
jcar101One of the best CF podcasts out there!Constantly an A+ on getting all the background you need in college football! Greg explains his expertise on CF because he has the first hand knowledge, being there for the biggest games. Add his podcast to your podcast rotation. Always concise and excellent!
-
Hank AllisonClean, pure football talk!I love college football and this is my ONLY college football podcast. Love the positivity, honest takes, clean language. Sets the standard for what sports radio/podcasts should be. People are bias about his opinions on the SEC, since he was an SEC QB, but he picked Michigan to win in 23-24, early, has been high on Ohio St. this year and is a fair, fact-driven, diligent analyst. Love this podcast. Ultra-informative.

Hotpass88Texas D not Tested and Tennessee O gets a pass? Why are all analysts giving Tennessee a pass on their mediocre offense. I agree Texas D has not faced a true test, but Tennessee ran the score up on horrible competition but now y’all can’t figure out where it went? Is it because it’s old SEC so you give it a pass or just trying to sell the brand?
-
Allergy ManAllergy manGreat show today and appreciate the breakdown of the on coming games of the weekend. Great to know what to look for in the next games.
-

Irish20151Love college footballBeen listening since last year, great in depth analysis. Look forward to each podcast!
-
MycardiologisthatesfootballDecent podcast especially if you’re an SEC teamTheme of the podcast should be “No moral victories, unless you’re from the SEC” I listen consistently but tune Greg out when he talks about the SEC
-
Marshall_A7Great All Around ShowMy go to show for the week. The four shows per week is the perfect amount of coverage for me and the insights are great. The predictions and points brought up aren’t always reflected around the media landscape and more often than not they are right. While I think there seems to be some slight SEC bias at times, it’s not super major.

Nathan James (AK)5 Stars for McElroy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Nothing like heading into the office with a cup of coffee and Always College Football. Greg knows CFB like no other at ESPN, having won a Natty at Bama and going pro, Greg brings a dynamic, passionate perspective that’s an easy listen. God Bless you and apologies for the sorry 1-5 FSU fans.
-
RT_19Always a Good ListenReally solid show. Greg has great insight into college football and analysis overall. He does show bias to the SEC, particularly Alabama, in the number of minutes of commentary he provides compared to other teams/conferences. But overall always a good listen.
-
RHB28Love itGreat show, love how Greg makes an active effort to be unbiased. Go Georgia tech yellow jackets!

N7_GhostGreg is a ProDon’t listen to the FSU idiots who rated this show a 1 star. McElroy is a professional and gives the only thing he should. His honest opinion. Sound quality is great, and the show always flows really well. Also, if you track such things, no one at ESPN has beaten ESPN FPI predictions, except Greg. He did it in consecutive years. Keep it up, Greg!
-
Treyday6Simply the bestGreg covers the most games (not just the big ones or his alma mater) and gives in depth insight. Look forward to his show each week.
-
Jammin7811Fun listenI always listen to hear the latest spin. More of a curiosity than an education. Amnesia is the best friend of any sports commentator and McElroy has it down cold. The analysis lacks consistency except for his (understandable) admiration of bama
-
jfallon2020Love the podcast! I listen to every episode!Love Greg, listen to every episode the day they release. One of my favorite college football podcasts!
-
