Irvin KidGreat Group of People with Well Rounded OpinionsI came to this podcast as a fan of SkillUp’s youtube channel and have loved spending time with all these creators. There’s a great mix of personalities, palpable chemistry and real insight into the gaming industry and everything around it. They are never afraid to crack jokes or tangent at times but know where to draw the line and don’t degrade their product to boost an entertainment factor, relying instead on their personalities, knowledge and passion for games to carry the show. New podcasts always need a growing period to understand what works and what doesn’t and despite starting very strong off the bat, they have taken feedback and made alterations which continue to improve the overall product and encourage an atmosphere of community. Great work Ralph, Lucy and Jake - keep up the good work, tie your shoes and go to bed!

SilverRubiconStick to video games. This is a solid podcast when it comes to video games. When the hosts start discussing topics that they have zero knowledge of, such as business and corporations, it becomes almost comical. Stick to games.

SoufflePancakeUltimate Podcast for Casual GamersAlways a pleasure to drop in and listen to this one every other week. Perfect for experienced and casual gamers alike- really just feels like friends chatting- and there are always interesting and prolific guests to listen to. Love all 3 of these people, they clearly know their stuff and the chemistry is excellent, even more so as of lately. 10/10!

Got your fix againThe bestLucy, Jake, and Ralph are perfect together. Love how they get right into things without wasting time. Organic, funny conversations with great insight and broad topics that appeal to a majority of video game fans. Way better than kinda funny

Bob7268371844My favorite gaming podcast -- low commitment + great hostsI’ve tried a bunch of different podcasts centered around gaming and this was definitely the best fit for me. It’s only every 2 weeks, so the commitment is low, whereas a lot of them just spam you with filler episodes. The hosts have great chemistry, and it really gives you that “hanging out and catching up with your friends” feeling that you want in this kind of podcast. They all have specific and well defined perspectives, which gives you insights from different angles about different types of games. They get a surprising amount of high quality guests, though to be honest for me I just like listening to them. Best of all, they’re all kind of surprisingly funny, which really elevates a podcast like this. Anyway, it’s really solid, and easily the best one I’ve found for my schedule. Really enjoyable.

A:seGreat, easygoing podcastThe chemistry is already far better with only 3 hosts. Excited to listen to FPS in 2024!

Megan639No Jirard = no listenLet’s be real— People only even know about this podcast because of Jirard. He’s 90% of the reason most people listen. If he’s not coming back, neither am I.
-
SRMoore818Fakes Per SecondAfter the drama with ‘The Completionist’ which was somewhat earned, you would think that his friends would choose to discuss the situation or give him a platform to share his side of the story or maybe even provide an apology. But like so many people in this industry that try to come off as caring and genuine, they weren’t above taking their friend to the basement to give him the Romanov treatment. They stated it was a mutual decision for Jirard to leave the podcast even though multiple sources claim they unanimously booted him because he “hurt the brand”. This podcast is just indicative of the fake people that permeate the gaming industry. They stab you in the back while wearing a smile. I’m not defending Jirard, his actions were bad. But these so called “friends per second” were pretty quick to throw him under the bus so they could continue to do what they want unimpeded. It just goes to show how horrible and two faced the rats in gaming media are when they sense a sinking ship. It’s hard to listen to these types of people anymore. They come off as such disingenuous humans.

fefemougKnowledgeable Hosts and Important GuestsAll four hosts are very knowledgeable about the industry and have interesting and varied perspectives. The guests usually have unique insights; expect game directors and other leaders of the biggest games. Some guests’ answers are too surface-level but that is to be expected. The hosts still do not shy away from difficult questions.

tonthelocOutstanding!Long time User here. These people are legit. They’ve been covering video games in one form or another forever it seems to me. From stellar Journalism to excellently curated video game guides/buys, to entertaining ways to complete or play games, these people know their craft. They bring this same kind of passion for the business to the podcast and when they get the chance to interview Game Developers they usually hit it outta the park.
-
LoofaTroopaIt’s a great project!!These guys are honestly some of the best voices as far as video game journalism is concerned. Truly great people to listen to, who know what they’re talking about. Couldn’t recommend this enough.

Mr. T's illegitamate Son (Fool)It’s like a gumbo of some of my fav gaming journalists/YT’ersThe combo of Jirard, Lucy, Ralph and Jake is pure vibes. All share strengths of clear communication and considered opinions. This podcast makes my “yard project of the week” in the Marin sunshine more fun.

-
Boo_boo_bear1993Didn’t Even Know I Needed This!Love the podcast guys! I don’t have a lot of gamer family or friends so this has been a good alternative for me. I can only talk my wife’s ear off so much. I do have one small ask. I would love a consistent release/drop time. I’m a creature of habit. The first few were great because I would wake up to them in my feed Saturday morning. It was nice to make breakfast and get my Saturday chores going while listening to the podcast. Keep up the awesome work!
-
sragsdalemusicA wholesome gamer hang! This is the way to do a podcast! It’s like listening to four friends hang out in a living room talking about video game news and love for the new and old. Their format makes you feel like you are right there with then, just hanging out. I came here as a Gameranx and Jake fan, and found some love for three new champions of video game culture. Special shout-out to the Completionist, who just seems like my spirit animal when it comes to gaming. Thanks y’all, for the great work you do!!!
-

KevinestVery good so far!You know a podcasts is good when they have very interesting guests on but you still prefer just the hosts. They took my favorite video game YouTubers and put them together and it works. Only problem is that it made me question if I actually am living in a simulation.
-

EAGLE STONELYFirst podcastThis is the first podcast that has convinced me to keep listening. And don’t like that bio of “zero clue what we’re talking about” fool you. These four are entrenched in the games industry, and they know their stuff. I thoroughly enjoy listening, because it keeps me up to date with the ongoings of the video game industry, and keeps it entertaining all the while. I’m not sure how it stacks up against other podcasts, but for me it has been a 5 star experience listening to these individuals.
-
TheRealJakobiFavorite PodcastWow, 10 hour shifts fly like the wind when listening to my favorite gamers. This is truly a blessing to be able to listen to you guys speak about something i am very passionate about. I dont think i'd be able to get through my days without this new FPS podcast. <3
