I’ve enjoyed all episodes so far but Trapped in a Coma has been the best one, hands down. I was hanging onto every single word. These are incredible stories. Thank you for sharing them.

everytime i see a new episode and read the title i quite literally say out loud, “WHAT?!?”

I’m genuinely so confused by this story. I feel for this girl but there is no background of what trauma she had prior to going into treatment which makes it very hard to understand. Additionally why would she then go under the care of a gynecologist after being in a mental health facility? Interviewer needs to ask more questions to make this story more clear.

Dev has recently lost the respect of me and many other recent listeners due to her lack of judgment when it comes to platforming people with serious mental health issues. At a certain point, it becomes very unethical.

I enjoy the platform you create that allows guests to speak freely. Not everyone is a great storyteller, but everyone has a story to tell. I hope that all future guests are able to show up and present their stories to the fullest during 2025 — DEV I hope that you engage a bit more too!

Rambling

I can’t get enough of this podcast and all the unique content. Some of the stories have helped me with issues I have been going through. Devorah does a great job as the host asking great questions throughout the show. I highly recommend this podcast!

I want to like this podcast. I listen to one that is a similar concept, so I really thought this would be up my alley. But there is just so much rambling that seems completely unrelated to the clickbait titles. It’s interesting to hear peoples’ stories still, yes, but some better structure is needed. I get very bored with all the unnecessary background information and rambling.

Podcast has so much potential and some episodes are amazing but its only as good as the guests ability to storytell. Many stories are hard to follow and all over the place because the host provides no guidance or help to make sure the story gets told to the best of its ability. Listening to “my best friends tried to kill me” I felt like i was jumping in mid episode and had no idea what was going on the entire time. Terrible editing and inexperienced host.

I really loveeee the idea for the show and the stories that go along with it. I understand wanting to let the guest tell their story however there is such little guidance from the host that the stories oftentimes don’t make sense or are difficult to keep up with. The way guests tell some of there stories, instead of using fake names, they’ll use “my boyfriends friend” or “my best friend” “my other friend” and it’s so easy to get lost.

I really want to hear these stories, but as other reviewers have mentioned, I cannot stand the mouth/saliva noises. It’s gross I g me out. What’s confusing is I don’t notice this on other podcasts. Perhaps a microphone foam cover might solve the problem.

This episode is so much rambling and makes very little sense. It was painful to listen to. I kept waiting for some interjection to keep the story on track or ask questions that never came. When the guest didn’t get the reaction she expected she adds more and more convoluted stories and information that don’t make sense. I don’t recommend listening to this episode.

Love this podcast. I wish people wouldn’t leave negative reviews for the show as a whole based on the guests themselves. There are a few that I find insufferable, but Devorah remains even keeled and gives everyone the same opportunity to speak *their* truth. It’s clear some of the guests just want the attention and have a lot of healing to do but don’t we all? At the end of the aren’t we all insane?? I’m a big fan and truly thankful to anyone who has the courage to share their story. Devorah is such an amazing host and always asks clarifying questions at exactly the right times. I do wish to hear form more men, I know it’s so hard to come forward but men’s mental health is important and hearing more of your stories may encourage others to come forward and start the path to healing. Definitely changed my opinion of this podcast in a negative way. The guest seems to justify it and seemed to cheerful discussing children being married so young. I will say this- the other episodes are better and I have come to enjoy the podcast overall but I do think the host needs to vet some of the guests more.

I can truly appreciate the entire platform you have created for individuals to share their experiences. It is so often that people are overshadowed by the larger tragedies of celebrities. So many of these experiences are actually so relatable. It’s nice to know you’re not alone. Also yes pls do something about the mouth noises/swallowing I have Misophonia and sometimes it deters me from specific episodes. I can’t ever listen to your podcast in headphones because of it. Love u tho and love the pod!

I was interested in this pod from a tik tok video of the latest episode “my friends tried to kill me” but after 30 minutes it’s very obvious this person is lying. There is so much false information and details that don’t add up. It’s like listening to a teenager tell their wildest abuse fantasy of all time. You’d have to have absent parents and be out of view of the public to be enduring what that person has made claims to endure. Sexual assault on school grounds, everyday. A 70 yr old trainer teaching blow jobs and neglecting horses. A 21 yr old that ran a sex ring her and her friend were a part of, again when they were 14-16. I work with children experiencing abuse and this woman is lying to you, worse youve broadcasted it online without doing your homework. I recommend deleting it and getting the gal in it, serious help.

Love the podcast! It’s on of my favorites. There has to be something done about the mouth noises and the guests saying Um. I’ve had to skip 3 episodes now due to the Um’s. Maybe have them redo a few parts of the story to lessen it? Idk but it’s unbearable.

I love the pod but there’s gotta be a way to edit out all the saliva and swallowing noises- i don’t notice this as much with other podcasts, but i can’t even finish an episode because of the noises from the swallowing and mouth noises.

I like the podcast so far. But the most recent episode (shotgun suicide) the guest keeps swallowing really hard after every 2 words and I can’t get through the episode. No fault to her but please edit these noises out - it’s sooooo loud. Coming back to edit my review. A si get deeper into podcast I’m skipped more and more episodes. Can be such a great podcast but needs work.

I really like how the interviews are done. The host has a back for asking the right questions at the right times. She's thoughtful, empathetic, and through.

This is such a good podcast. Not only are the stories so interesting and jaw dropping but Devorah herself is so inspiringly kind and insightful and such a delight to hear her warmth with with guests even though she gives them so much space to tell their stories with minimal interruption so we don’t hear much from her. Every time she does pop in it’s so kind and compassionate.

I really like the storytelling concept of this podcast but it would benefit from some more comprehensive editing and a bit of guidance or structure for the discussions.

I came across a story from TikTok and I found it so interesting so I started listening to the podcast from the beginning. I find that there is just too much rambling. I find myself forwarding the shows but I just can’t get through them completely. Very intriguing titles but I can’t get into them

I’ve tried to listen but find the podcast hard to listen to. Guests are unfocused and ramble. They need some guidance and focused questions to stay on topic. The episodes are long because they drag on with unnecessary chatter.

I found this podcast by accident. I love what’s happening here! Keep it coming.

Catchy titles and Interesting stories and topics, but falls flat usually. desperately needs editing and I think the host should try to guide the stories and discussions some. A lot of guests ramble and go off topic and it’s just painful to listen to. Had potential but turned out meh.

I want to hear the guests’ stories, and she frequently interrupts.

This is the perfect podcast to put on while I am working and it keeps me intrigued the full length of the video. It makes my job go by SO much quicker. I love this podcast keep doing what you're doing Dev!

This is a really great podcast with guests that talk about some very difficult and uncomfortable subjects sometimes relating to trauma. I read some of the other reviews first and I tend to agree with many of them. There’s lots of “umms” and “likes” and there’s sometimes an issue with hearing mouth noises from guests. Also, more research could be done before the interviews. Sure, those things are true but I’ve actually seen a lot of improvement in this podcast from its early days. It’s consistently improving and maturing, if you will, and I think that’s all you can ask for from someone doing this from their home who isn’t a professional. The content is really good and that to me, is why I keep coming back. The stories are real and raw for the most part, and they are being told by real people who aren’t necessarily well-versed in story-telling. This has become one of my favorite podcasts to listen to and I can’t wait to see how the show continues to develop.

I think they would benefit from trimming down the episodes. Starting with straying off topics to talk about their opinions for 20 minutes. I never pressed “fast forward 30 seconds” so much in a podcast… but I do like some of the “uncomfortable” topics as they are not openly discussed in many forums.

It is apparent that Devorah does not do her research before each episode. I love hearing the raw stories from the guests but Devorah’s input is not helpful or necessary. It’s almost always her personal opinion conveyed in a way to make an overarching meaning out of a terrible situation. I wish she would consider instead doing more meaningful research and offering resources or educational facts while also empathizing with the guest in a way that does not distract from the story. I think there’s so much potential in this show.

Love the podcast, but devorah, please take the time to do a more extensive edit when it comes to filtering down the filler words during conversation. The “likes” the “ums” makes listening to the guest almost unbearable and completely ruins the effectiveness of the story being told. It’s too distracting.

I’ve stopped and restarted listening to this podcast a few times now. I will not be back this time. I kept restarting because I was drawn to compelling stories told by the person who has lived through them. I am just always unsettled by the hosts lack of grace and tact to hear these stories and hold them gently. The questions she asks and the comments she gives always seem goading. She seems to conduct her interviews with hungry eyes and shiny teeth. Disregarding the people attached to these stories for the chance to turn their lived experiences into trauma porn for views. I know there is strength and power in telling your story, so that’s what I will hold onto for the guests on this podcast. I hope for them the healing that comes from that will overshadow the shows shortcomings.

I really like this podcast, and I really enjoy listening to other people explaining their experiences. The host does a great job of letting the guests speak and tell their stories, but there is a lot of unnecessary information that is shared. If there was a script maybe, or and outline for what the guest generally wants to talk about, maybe the audience would be more interested. Tbh, it really depends on what guest you get. Sometimes they get to the point, and sometimes they drone on and on.

The guests on this show don’t know how to public speak whatsoever. I wish there was more prep or editing or something because hearing “like” every other word has made me pause episodes altogether and never go back.

i’m not sure how i found this, maybe tik tok to be honest, but it’s become one of my favorites. within a month i’ve listened to almost every single episode and ive listened weekly ever since!

This podcast is great! Dev really lets the people talk! But the mouth noises have to stop…..

I enjoyed the podcast until the guest “Bri” came on. She was absolutely disrespectful calling cops “pigs” because they were there for HER actions. She talks ghetto and was a turn off. You lost a listener after this episode.

I love this podcast, and enjoy hearing each guest share their own POV of their lives. However, please please please do something audio wise about the spit noises. It is enough to not listen when you can hear every bit of saliva in someone’s mouth. Do they just need more water or take water breaks? Keep the guest coming! Thank you for creating this!

This is the type of podcast that I’ve been looking for! I’m sad that I’m all caught up and now I have to wait until Sunday for a new episode. I think there should be at least two episodes a week.

This is such a great show. They bring on so Many different types of stories. I’m a nurse and I related a lot to the story of her interviewing the nurse. I just love it…I love Devs voice . She is such a good interviewer and really helps the guests tell their story in such a way that I want to keep hearing it. I listen to her ever single day on the way to work. Please don’t stop and thank you for your hard work and dedication to this podcast.!!

Love this podcast. The host lets the guests shine and does an awesome job at framing the story. I love the art of story telling and that really shines through on this podcast.
