An intense custody battle turns deadly when Christine Belford’s ex-husband and his family become obsessed with controlling the couple’s three daughters. The family is willing to do anything including stalking, kidnapping, and even murder to get their way. Over eight episodes, host Donnie Wahlberg takes listeners down a dark and twisted journey, exploring how one family’s obsession became a mother’s worst nightmare. With exclusive interviews and audio, the story goes beyond the headlines of the sinister Matusiewicz family.

    Podcast
I can’t tell you how much I’m enjoying your true stories. I feel I heard you on Juicy Scoop. It was a podcast I had to check out and I’m very happy I did.
  • Badgirlrockstar
    This story is insane!
I love this podcast and Donnie’s voice is a like a dream. I love true crime but have never heard of this story. It is unbelievable and I can’t wait to see what comes out next season.

  • Aimee Marie aka Freyacat
    Phenomenal
Donnie ‘s voice is incredible narrating this podcast. It’s well put together and the cliffhanger will get you so wait until they all come out and binge it the supporting storytelling is amazing and the production is tight

    Too many ads
Way too many ads and recaps. Just shorten the podcast and get to the point.
  • The Hathaways
    Too many commercials
Love the story but episodes are too short with too many commercials.

    Exceptional
Donnie is an exceptional host. Love listening to his voice. These episodes are incredibly well written. The worst thing about them is having to wait until next week. I recommend you wait until they are all out and binge, because the cliff hangers are torture. Love love love this podcast. Has rocketed to one of my top favs. I wish there were more episodes!
  • Rounders2004
Why does each episode end so fast!
Dropping one 10 minute episode per week is ridiculous in this day and age. I enjoyed it but having to wait a week in between for a super short episode is annoying. This last one had maybe 10mins of content…just drop the whole tjing and ull get more listens!
  • chelseaoz
Great podcast, insane amount of commercials
Love the stories featured, and the storytelling but each episode is quite short and jam-packed with commercials.

    Love Donnie’s voice!
Can’t wait for the next episode!
  • Yawna79
    Episodes are too short
Way WAY too many advertisements, with episodes being like 20 minutes long after all the ads. Episodes should be combined together so they’re at least 40 minutes and get to the point. The stories are interesting but come on with the dragged out episodes!
  • Fur momma 2
    Best pod cast.
Love Donny. I am sad when I am done listening because I don’t want to have to wait for a new pod cast to come out.
  • Tcd99
    So. Many. Ads.
The episodes are so short and there’s more ads than content. That being said, the podcast is okay. Not terrible if you need something to listen to. Kinda like watching an ID show when you can’t watch it.

    His voice!
Love love LOVE! Donnie’s voice. I’d listen to anything crime related with his voice.
  • JoanMacaroni
    Wow. Just wow.
I love this. It is so well narrated, so suspenseful that I sometimes just stop what I’m doing and listen. Keep these coming!

    Really so good
Excellent narration and interesting story. Not long winded story telling, to the point and intriguing
  • OMdoctor
    The Best!!
I listen to a lot of true crime pods, and this is among the best. Just the story, expertly told without all of the chatter from the host/narrator.
  • Mrssoko
    Incredible!
I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts and this is one of THE BEST! The narration is superb.
  • Patcharin N
    One of the best Podcasts!
Truly, truly one of the best podcast I’ve listen to, I look forward to it every week! I listen to it on my commute to and from work. Donnie Wahlberg is a great host on the show, love listening to him speak. His voice is so soothing.
  • Sunshine6133
    Such a great podcast!
I just discovered this podcast and it’s become my favorite almost immediately. The subject matter, the narrative and appropriate music go hand in hand. No personal opinions, or tangents, just the facts and some unknown things as well. So well done.

  • Steph Blockhead
    Amazing on so many levels
Not only do I LOVE this show on tv, but now I can love it even more while working. And hearing Donnies voice is what makes it even better
  • wendyo1121
    Excellent!!!!
One of my favorite podcasts and incredibly well done. I wish they would release more!!! Great job and love every episode
  • Rowanba1
    Read the book!
I ran into this podcast by accident on Amazon music. First Donny Wahlberg narration is so monotonous & boring it drags on. Then Karla Homolka is so unjustly portrayed as an innocent victim of Paul’s. She was a victim of his but far from innocent. And barely anything is said about the young victims or about Tammy Homolka. Very bad podcast don’t waste your time and read a book about it better!

    More
This is a really good podcast. Donnie does a fantastic job covering these cases. I just wish there were more episodes.

    THE BEST PODCAST EVER!!!
so good i listen every day good background music but not to loud and the host is great
  • KJ from KY
The stories you think you know are here!
This is an excellent podcast. I’m ready for season 3. The interviews and narrative are edited together to tell an excellent story and to bring that story to life. One of the best hosts I’ve listened to.
  • blairbear876
    It’s fine but nothing special
You could get the same information from any other decent podcast that has covered the case. Nothing new was discovered or discussed and it had a lot more ads. Overall, don’t waste your time.
  • Gemmasstiletos
Good but the music is annoying
Note to Podcasters: ditch the cheesy music.
  • TGC91810
    Very bizarre
This has a very bizarre feeling to it. It’s sympathetic to Karla in a way that is off putting. Honestly, I’d be embarrassed to have my name is associated with it. IMO, if you want a factual based podcast to hear about this story, I would highly suggest LPOTL’s coverage. They seem to have a well rounded account of the background, crimes, and investigation. This is a strange puff piece that almost feels like the police paid for it to cover up their guilt over ineptitude.
  • reabcfthbxgn
    great voice
really great job narrating it makes all the difference, thank you just a thought it might make things a little more successful. If you talked about when the episodes come out try to make it easy on us, have it right up front. also, if you could tell us how many episodes there are that would be very efficient
  • OofiOofster
    Very low quality podcast
Poorly executed. Underwhelmingly told story with such limited vocab & mediocre articulation that it's kind of embarrassing. If you are going to regurgitate old stories please do it with some respect for those involved. If you are going to listen to crime podcasts try the ones told by actual journalists who can impeccably & respectfully recreate other peoples personal stories (& have more than 5th grade diction.)
  • michstoots
    Well Done
Season 1 & 2 are produced with the Same consistency both stories are documented so well. I look forward to the next Season!
  • J. Parce
    I gave it a shot
I feel like the story was interesting, that’s why I listened, but shows with this kind of sensational writing, editing, and format make me feel sad after listening to them. I feel talked down to, treated as unintelligent, and like my emotions are being played on.
  • Boston.Mimi
    Great!
The best true crime podcast out there. The pace, voice, and storytelling are perfect. More please!
  • gradyfamily
Canada is TOO SOFT on criminals
Some people deserve the death penalty!! How did they not drug test the sister or look for sexual assault !!
  • Gobroncos 222
    Horrifying!
OMG…these 2 should have been shot on the spot. Once their horrifying video of Tammie etc., was discovered, game over for Paul FIRST! ! Then, Karla. Some ppl don’t deserve to live Karla and Paul are among them
  • freddi91
    Way too sympathetic to Karla
Enjoyed season one, and season two is well done (though not as in depth
  • Kris Hagner
No, Karla is not a victim.
Spoiler Alert: They told the story in chronological order, and at one time police believed that she was a victim, but it’s made clear by the end of episode 6 that she is definitely not a victim.
  • truecaddict1980
    Karla’s not a victim
She knew what she was doing !! Yes he was manipulating her to a point I get that , no excuse tho ! They took away those poor girls from their families .
  • JoeeCal
    Way to short
The podcast has so much filler with ads and recap that the episodes are like 15 mins long. Like how lazy can the production team be when writing the podcast. It’s crazy to me they think this is good podcasting. 1 episode a week and it’s 20 mins long. Low effort and the podcast has so much potential of being very good!! Please stop doing this low effort creation.
  • listen 2 understand
    Revisionist History
I’m struggling with the light cast on Karla … seems they’re rewriting her willing participation in the crimes.
  • Nikpods
Great podcast but hate the sympathetic tone for Karla
I have listened to other podcasts and read books on this case and none have come off as sympathetic to Karla the way this podcast is. I don’t get it, its weird, she is not the victim here. She’s a murderer, who got off basically scot-free, and then went on to have children like she didn’t help murder and torture three people… I like the podcast, I just don’t agree with this depiction of of that evil B Karla.
  • a14tr
    Racist implications
Everyone who was interviewed makes the same point over and over again about how Paul just didn’t look like a monster, he looked like a regular guy, and so non-threatening because he was blonde with blue eyes. So what does a monster look like? Dark features? Idk. Put a poor taste in my mouth and kinda ruined the podcast for me.
  • HotSauce75
    So good.
Donnie Wahlberg could read my grocery list and make it sound riveting. The man is made for narrating podcasts. He’s up there with the likes of Keith Morrison. The podcast is also excellent. Please keep making them!
  • Podcast Drop
    Too Short
The podcast is way to short! Addto that they throw in ads and you have 19mins of info. Ridiculous!!!
  • BlueBottleGirl
    I love this series, but…….
Karla deserves zero recognition as being a victim when she willingly signed up to rape and kill her sister. And that was early on. I just can’t believe this podcast would fall into her self preservation manipulation and go on and on about her being a victim. More like, karma.
