    The Podcast is Lit
Great listen. Glad to have a podcast with people who aren’t super picky about how close the movies follow the books/lore and focus more on the entertainment value of the movies. You guys are very funny and we’re able to get a glimpse into each member’s personality and humor. Thanks guys. Keep it up👏

    Friends with LOTR benefits
I recently stumbled upon this podcast and am so happy I did! It’s a fun listen for LOTR fans. Feels like I’m with friends while out on my evening walks. Great job fellowship!

    Delightful
Whenever I go through tough times I turn to Lord of the rings. This watch has been so much more light hearted because of your podcast. It’s really hard to find genre podcast with host that have a sense of humor and have something intelligent to say. Wow, what a concept! I usually watch the appendices (I love how these awesome movies came together) and I was wondering if maybe you guys would react to them. They are extensive but if you just press “play all “ they will be in a manageable order. So much good stuff! For each of the extended editions. I may be a super nerd about the films so it may be only enjoyable to me.

A Silly but Heartfelt (Helms) Deep Dive
Funny, informative, and insightful. Because you all cover the scenes of each half hour so assiduously, anyone listening could learn at least one new thing in every episode about the books, behind-the-scenes of the film, or details one might not have noticed from the movies themselves. They can also get far more Dennis Miller impressions than one would expect to hear in 2024 or on a Lord of the Rings recap podcast. Hey cha cha. I loved everyone’s different takes on the interesting acting choices (primarily vocal choices), the many examples of Gandalf as the most “extra” (with Elrond as a *very* close runner-up), and Legolas’ weirdo expositional throwaway lines. Thank you Kelly for loudly booing literally every time Legolas spoke in Fellowship of the Ring. It is the most appropriate visceral response. Sad the trilogy recap is coming to an end. I sincerely hope you all just rewatch the movie and do it again! Thanks for the laughs! You are all wonderful! P.S. I need to share one of my favorite jokes of the podcast: when Grima WormTongue returned to Isengard and was soaking wet (so wet. Like, orc-level wet), one of you (I think Matt) said he looked like “the worst professional wrestler” or “one of the shipmates from Pirates of the Caribbean”. Still laughing.

    Ent-paced and Light-hearted
If you're looking for a ent-paced podcast, this is for you. I don't mean that as a complaint though as it keeps a light-hearted and easy going view where so many others have dug their roots so greedily and so deep its like listening to the Silmarillion. Ever thought about how wet orcs are? These are your people. Ever not noticed Aragorn having a weird voice at the council of Elrond and want to never be able to unhear it? Have a listen! But seriously, great podcast this one. PS. Matt, the real real winners are the listeners who get to hear about the real winners being the people that watched the movies.

    A Lurtz-centric View of LOTR
This podcast is great for casual and die hard fans of Lord of the Rings alike. By their own admission the hosts are not Tolkien scholars. If you’re looking to hear a discussion on the differences between the Noldor and Sindar elves, you won’t find that here. However, if you prefer a podcast that doesn’t take itself too seriously. One that spends an absurd amount of time on tertiary characters like Lurtz. One that isn’t afraid to point out how awkward Viggo says, “it has no other mahsta,” at the council of Elrond. If that’s what you’re looking for, then this is the podcast for you. Also, I personally did not finish the final two episodes of the Rings of Power. After hearing these podcasts, I don’t think I missed much.

    Beacons are Lit review
Great podcast, gets better with each episode. Funny and on point, I like that they admit they’re not the biggest Tolkien experts and ask for listener input. There are a lot of LOTR podcasts out there, lots of them are kinda boring so it’s good to find one that’s funny and run by true fans. Keep the episodes comin’!

Funny and Charming LOTR Companion Podcast
Great podcast full of love for the show and cast but doesn’t take itself too seriously. These guys do a great job of providing insight to the show without expecting every fan to be a Tolkien Scholar. It’s light and humorous but still has plenty of heartfelt admiration and nostalgia for the trilogy films that I love so much. I am excited to have a companion podcast for when I start the Rings of Power.
