So many terrible puns that it sounds like a parody of a cheesy ID show. Half the puns don’t even make any sense, and another quarter are socially backwards—“Something stinks, and it’s not just the homeless man.” THAT IS A REAL LINE. I have to admit that I keep listening because the stories and interviews are good, but WOW the writing is cringy.

The narrators puns and similes have become unbearable, and sometimes very inappropriate and disrespectful to the victims. Not amusing. The actual show is interesting and would be great without the narrator. He has a nice voice; why the need to try to embellish? It’s too painful to take anymore so I’m going to unfollow.

The stories are unique and not necessarily front page news which helps on different topics. The people who are connected and interviewed add to the conversation. The negative side is the narrator who feels the need for lame puns and way too often through out the podcast.

Can someone please tell the narrator to close the window in his studio? It’s weird to hear him talking about a victim who was strangled and there is a cardinal singing away in the background.

I enjoy this podcast

I like the fact that these are stories I haven’t heard before… Yes the narration could use a glow up but it’s endearing and there’s 3 ads to listen to, 1 at the beginning, half way and 1 at the very end lasting about 25 seconds… it’s bearable guys 🙄

There are way too many commercials for such a short podcast!

Why is it so hard for the audio only version of a TV to have the right description of the episode? The episode is about Kristin Huggins but the description of the episode is an entirely different episode featuring Kari Nixon. The podcast Snapped has the same issue. 🤷

The material is good and put together well. The narrator ruins the whole podcast. After a couple episodes, his similes become beyond irritating….more irritating than listening to 30 students scratching their nails across a chalkboard. These stupid sayings are put in to emphasize and exaggerate points every few minutes. Unfortunately, he is so overly dramatic making the show seem less of a grownup true crime podcast and more of a gossip podcast. I cannot listen to him anymore, so I am unfollowing. I like the content, but there are plenty of other shows.

What's with the background noises? I love the podcast and his voice but the weird synthetic background stuff is distracting. And the weird puns are in bad taste. And I hate the screaming and pleading reenactments. No need.

The stories are interesting, but the writer/narrator is disrespectful with the weird puns.

It’s a unique & at times inappropriate take on true crime, but I enjoy it.

The stories and first hand interviews may be interesting. The narration filled with an abundance of juvenile literary puns is too much to tolerate.

I like this show because I hear stories for the first time unlike other podcasts where it’s either the same story we’ve all heard a million times or a story where you never find out what happened or who the suspect is. Yes there are some corny lines because it was for TV but don’t listen to all the negative reviews here. It’s a good show to listen too I just wish there were more episodes and newer episodes more frequently. Please start releasing more new episodes

Too many “cute” quips and lines… those along with all the background sound effects take away from the seriousness of the story.

The narrator sounds a little too jazzed to be reporting so much tragedy. It’s also pretty creepy to continue describing the deceased women in these stories as “beautiful” and “pretty little red head” and etc. Unsubscribing.

Truly, this is the most obnoxious, overly-used sound effect they could have picked. It’s like a constant honk-honk and if you’re using headphones/earbuds, it’s crazy loud. Please, please edit that stupid sound out!

Please, please someone provide this series with a better writer. The narration is corny and juvenile and doesn’t do justice to the seriousness of the stories.

I love the podcast but there are SO many background sound effects. For me personally it is taking away from the story, which is all I am interested in.

Stories could be ok but completely ruined by the cliche writing.

These are stories about peoples loved ones being murdered. There’s nothing cute or funny about the puns. Poor taste.

The content is serious and seems like a true crime that is important to solve and understand what happened, but there are like weird spaceship sounds and other frequencies happening that make this feel really cheeeeesy and weird

The nightmare next door is misleading. There was 1 episode where the killer was a neighbor. The rest were strangers or relatives. The narrator is terrible. The writers need to be fired. Listening to him make puns while describing a child being r***ed is sicking.

Does anyone from the show read these ? The horn is distracting, ruins the episode.

Well researched stories but the narrator ruins it. He’s seriously unfunny and I have no idea why he feels corny jokes are even needed when talking about such subject matter.

I love the stories and the guests in this podcast. The background noises are beyond triggering, annoying and/or distracting. The narrator is unnecessarily corny. I could put up with the corny narration but the noises have turned me off. If you ever remove the background noises, I’d be happy to start listening again.

What’s up with the semi truck horn noise? I’m 17 minutes into my first episode and I’ve heard it 50 times. There’s no semi-truck in this so far, and the vehicles they’re looking for are not semis either. There have been some tacky statements that were eyeroll-worthy, too.

For the love of god read and listen to the many reviews pleading with you to stop the same tired puns and jokes. It’s so flippant and actually kind of disturbing to use them when telling of such terrible acts of violence. These stories are much more than simple entertainment. The puns sometimes literally make me turn off the podcast and not turn it on again until I am desperate for something to listen to. It would be decent otherwise. The music & sounds could use work, they are a bit distracting. Truly I think the things being done to try to set this pod apart are actually hurting it, but the content is decent and different enough that the other stuff feels unnecessary.

Whoever edits this podcast uses the same very distracting sound for every transition. Sped up, slowed down, remixed, but always the same digital sound. Please. I am begging you to use a different sound and to stop editing this sound into every clip.

The content and research is phenomenal. The puns are really tacky. I wish they would stop with these cheesy puns. These are true horrific crimes and the puns are out of place and really show a type of degradation of the victims. PLEASE STOP

Content of this podcast is outstanding. The one thing that bothers me is the puns; they come off as callous, and in very poor taste- without regard to how victims/family members of victims might react to these completely inappropriate puns. Just drop that part, and you’ll have an even better production.

I love the fact that more people get to hear these peoples stories. It’s important and valid.However calling people hookers and fry cooks is just really lame. Also just generally makes jokes based off where they lived or specially how they died isn’t a good look and makes it look like you really don’t care about the people who suffered brutal crimes and more so you care about the money.

I don’t need your propaganda adds and ads for trying to make anti Vx people look bad.

Don’t you think victims deserve better than terrible puns and snappy narration? This is shameful.
