No More Mom GuiltListen To This NOW!Lisa’s podcast is a breath of fresh air. It’s not only practical—it’s encouraging in a way that is not syrupy sweet. As a mom to a son with Autism, she knows first-hand how stressful and overwhelming day to day life can be. At the same time, she has the coaching expertise to help moms move forward. As a special education teacher, this podcast is a great resource for the moms of my students. BONUS: her coaching approach for Autism Moms is very unique—and not what you’d expect. Which is what makes it awesome. Highly recommended!

DianeKWExcellent podcast for parents in general, in addition to autism moms!Love, love, love this podcast. I have a young adult daughter with autism and, as an advocate, have worked with hundreds of families with children with autism. It is not an easy path! But it can also be super-rewarding. Lisa is an excellent story-teller and gives lots of examples to support her very practical advice. I have listened to only two episodes so far but plan to keep going! Listening to Episode 39 came at exactly the right time for me. I have been feeling so frustrated with myself and my daughter because “we were not following my manual about what we SHOULD be able to do!” Lisa’s message helped me to view my daughter—and myself—with more compassion and to focus on what IS vs. what I think SHOULD be. Thanks, Lisa!

C FaressaManaging Your TransitionsEpisode #35 is perfectly timed as we enter not only a very magical time of the year but an extremely chaotic one for not only our children but ourselves as well. Lisa does a fantastic job in relating how we as parents handle transitions and in turn can help our child/children in the process. We need to take time and breathe. Thank you Lisa! Insightful as always

roe roe leeSuch a great podcastI’m a mom to a five year old little boy with autism and I also happen to be a licensed counselor. When I found Lisa’s podcast not only did I love listening to it, but I signed up for coaching as well because lord knows I needed someone who could relate. It has been extremely beneficial not only for my role as an autism mom, but personally as a human it has helped me grow in so many ways. I can’t wait to continue to learn and grow as our coaching continues. Anyone can benefit from listening to her podcast autism or not.

Addison and Shawn's momA must listen! In a few short weeks, I have listened to all of Lisa’s episodes. She delivers expert advice such as your child’s behaviors are not about you even though they may involve you, and it us up to you to choose how you respond to others and your circumstances. This is a must listen to help you navigate through the challenges you face!

Harrisons momAmazing to have in your tool kit!I found The Autism Mom Podcast one day after a TOUGH meltdown from my 2.5 year old son with suspected autism, which resulted in me having my own mommy meltdown. I was in my car, desperate to find anyone who was going through what I was going through. I stumbled upon Lisa's podcast and I felt like she was describing my life to a T. I can't begin to tell you how much Lisa's advice had helped me. Even though her son is much older than mine, I'm still able to find tons of tips and tricks that I can apply to my life. Some days I feel like I hear Lisa's voice in my head guiding me through the think, feel, act cycle more than i hear my own! Lisa, Thank you for all you've done for us and for the advice I know I'll get from future episodes❤️

Love this podcast!!

mason and Mateo's momAmazing resource + supportI couldn’t have found this podcast at better time . I have an eight year old and a three year old on the autism spectrum. My three year old was just recently diagnosed. Having two children with special needs is so overwhelming and scary I feel as if no one understands me . I binge listened to all the episodes and felt so understood and heard for once. All these strategies have been so helpful so far. I don’t think you realize the impact you can have on someone’s life with this podcast. I can’t wait for more episodes.

shortstoriesforbusybookwormsA powerful resource in the midst of isolationLisa’s podcast and coaching program is life changing for parents raising Autistic children. Two months ago I was at an all time low during our journey of raising our 4yo Autistic twin boys and I’m so grateful that I discovered The Autism Mom Coach. I really appreciate Lisa’s honesty, sincerity, and compassion. She has helped me tremendously to better understand meltdowns and increase my self-awareness of my thoughts and feelings as a special needs parent. As special needs parents we often feel helpless and isolated. It’s so refreshing to be connected with someone like Lisa who gets it and empowers us to navigate this difficult journey.

MrssherwoodsBabiesTransform your relationship with Special Needs ParentingAs the mom of a 5 year old daughter with autism, I am determined to take the best care of her AND me, and Lisa’s podcast is exactly what I need. The episodes are soothing, easy to listen the perfect length for me to take in, process, and learn from—not overwhelming— and I sometimes feel like she’s in my head!! I love her approach of not trying to “cure” or “fix” our kids. Although she talks a lot about specifically neuro diverse children, many of the informative topics and action items carry over to my neuro typical children as well. I’m so excited to have Lisa as a resource!

ctmomjs2LovePractical, encouraging advice from someone who’s clearly been the trenches. It’s so easy to feel alone in this as a parent. Lisa talks with the confidence of a moms who’s with you not someone pretending to understand.

LChenardThankful for this podcast! This podcast came along at a perfect time in our family’s journey. There were messages and tactical strategies that I absolutely needed to hear, and it was so helpful to better understand the science of what’s happening during one of my son’s meltdowns. It’s also so helpful to have someone else put my feelings into words to know that we are not alone. I look forward to future episodes!

Lisa & Ben CPodcast for Autism MomsLoved it!

Britt. K.I needed this!As a parent of a child with moderate-to-severe autism I have say that “To be the Solid Object” has really been a comfort to me in the short time I have been listening (6 episodes and counting). It’s exactly what I need right now. Lisa helps explain what my child most likely needs during meltdowns, what my child might be trying to “say” with behaviors, and also gives listeners (me) reminders to take care of myself. After all, if we don’t take care of ourselves it is extremely difficult to take care of our children—as many parents can relate to. When you add long stints single parenting, your child’s lack of sleep, SIBs, minimal verbal language, challenging behaviors, or even your own lack of sleep and stress —It *really* takes a toll! I have found Lisa’s suggestions to be very helpful in managing my OWN behavior and work through guilt so I can take care of myself and be the best parent I can be for my special needs child. What a gift! Thank you Lisa!!
-

HAHA HILARYJersey girlWow! I never thought that being a Jersey girl…. Could mean being the solid object .. yet it resonated with me in many ways! This podcast spoke volumes to me as a parent, professional, coworker, friend, and as a single mom navigating through this journey called life with a growing boy… bottom line is I am learning to allow him to be who he is, feel what he feels, by taking care of my own emotional needs… then I can help him through the challenges life throws.. Thank you Lisa for this honest, raw, real depiction of what that means! Thank you for allowing me to help you navigate through such a traumatic time… your humility helped mold you into the solid object you are today ! Can’t wait to hear more!
