I love Sam and Chris. I enjoy their recaps but really I like it when they just yap. I could listen to them talk all day.

If you’ve ever seen a woman in a black suv driving in the Bay Area laughing out loud while driving…. t was probably me, listening to this podcast. I found this gem of a podcast 2 years ago and I’m so glad it’s in my life. I LOVE the relationship and banter between Chris and Sam, and I love their thoughts on not just my favorite shows but all things pop culture! I love and adore this podcast, it’s the highlight of my week!

Are they funny? Sure, sometimes. They have great banter, but it’s two people who think their opinion is the scripture. Chris blocks anyone who dares to reach out with their opinion and Sam is really stubborn in her opinions. That’s not my issue though, I have been a long time supporter and even tried to recommend people to the show, and I was a member of their patreon. They boast about community and loving everyone but they actually are not that nice. They host a monthly zoom and unless you are a pretty girl with some tea for them, they aren’t interested in hearing from you. Whenever I spoke I was met with eye rolls and ok, keep it quick. I would then be cut off and then quickly brushed aside and asked to mute myself. Others were allowed to jump on whenever, told how lovely and pretty they are and were encouraged to keep going. When I brought up my concerns and my hurt to one of them, I was told it I was allowed to move on and leave.So much for community. I ended my membership and unfollowed them both because as much as I enjoyed their nonsense conversations playing in the background, I could no longer support a team that so obviously did not care about their followers.

have been listening to you guys for over a year and it’s a treat every time you upload. both sam and chris crack me up. i was so pumped when you started girls and can’t wait to see what comes after- especially when the new and just like that comes out 🤭

Chris and Sam are both so insightful, each in their own way. I love hearing their takes on the shows they cover. Chris has a great dry sense of humor which is balanced out perfectly with Sam’s genuine sweetness. I agree with what other reviewers have said, Chris and Sam’s podcast is better than the shows they cover! I’d listen to them recap almost anything.

I appreciate this podcast because they talk about the 5 shows I actually watch and have watched. Sex and the City? Girls? Summer house?! You?! It’s like it was created for me.

Used to be my favorite podcast, but they lack any consistency. I understand they were busy during the summer and stuck with them, but they are simply not following through covering girls and getting bonus episodes out now. Do not give them your money. I probably won’t even listen to the regular episodes and just finish girls on my own. Was fun while it lasted!

This is easily my favorite podcast. Sam and Chris are hilarious but I no longer expect consistency from them lol. I just get excited when the episodes are up. Would never contribute to the patreon for this reason but love to listen.

Found Chris and Sam again and couldn’t be happier. Chris’ commentary is as spot on, thought-provoking and hilarious as ever. Sam is the perfect pairing and super sweet and charismatic. So glad to see they are now covering my second fav show of all time behind SATC: GIRLS! These are underrated pop culture icons. Chris go public on Instagram, make a tiktok and never work another day in your life — you’re that talented!

I was a loyal shorty but they don’t put in any effort anymore. They’ve skipped bonus episodes and promised content for weeks. It’s so disappointing because this was my favorite podcast but I can’t responsibley support or reward the creators for inconsistency.

I haven’t watched a single episode of Girls, but I just keep listening. Found this podcast when they were doing SATC recaps and now I can’t stop listening.

These two are hilarious and insightful - such a fun listen and great escape from the horror of world events and from the news and politics podcast I normally listen to.

A perfect podcast especially when it’s over 2 hrs (the podcast content is better than the Girls’ show content)

I’m only giving 4 stars for my girl Sam. This podcast is a reminder than misogyny comes in many forms. Chris is constantly contradicting, interrupting and belittling Sam. I love girls and was sooo excited for this but it’s hard to listen to when Chris will not give Sam any space. I love a good banter between hosts and appreciate good self-deprecating humor but it feels so one sided. Get a pod going with Gracie girl until Chris can do some internal work.

These guys are so cute and hilarious. Chris you have totally turned me around on Steve. I found this pod bc I decided to rewatch the original series after AJLT started. I have had some much fun rewatching and then listening to Chris and Sam’s insights. Shortcomings helped me get through the yuckiest part of a Texas summer. Thank you.

These two, what can you say? They’re the odd couple but for pop culture. This show is part pop culture recap and part SATC/Girls recap. They have great banter and crack me up. This podcast is escapism at its finest! You’re having a bad day and just want to escape to a funny and perfect other world? This is it. They are yin and yang, Statler and Waldorf, Sam and Chris 👌

You call Ariana Madix a loser but you’re the only recapping a show that ended in 2017. Chris has a lot of opinions but not good ones because he doesn’t explain them. It’s just a lot of talking down about women and propping up ugly men. How dreadful.

somehow I’ve become so attached to this podcast you’ve actually gotten me to get my eyes on Girls… never thought I’d enjoy a Lena Dunham production but here I am, deeply moved and shocked by her firm grasp on young womanhood. as I move through the first season I keep marking down things that I can’t wait to hear y’all cover, like the mirror affirmations in ep 8 (?). all that to say keep on doing what you do! <3 AND I NEED A COWBOY CARTER 40 MIN PRE EPISODE BREAKDOWN! #hive

Either I’m misremembering the old episodes or the new ones where they are recapping Girls are so slow to get to the point. I would be more into 40 minutes of rambling before the actual content if they (not as much Sam) weren’t so negative.

The other podcast Girls recap podcast is terrible.. zoomer upspeak with tangents and nothing interesting to add. I appreciate you guys so much more.

I’ve been a listener from the beginning and I love how this podcast has grown and changed with Sam and Chris! Their chemistry and banter is the best. A must listen if you love SATC, girls, and lots of pop culture in between!

It would be 5 stars if Chris learned to not be so close minded and obnoxious. Sam is the absolute best.

I feel lucky to have gotten into to this one so late in the game because there are so many episodes and they actually make me laugh. I’ve been binging this one since I started listening. I love the shade they throw to each other but they are also sweet friends. Love it so much!

What a ride this was. Yes he’s mean to her but she doesn’t seem to mind. The production quality is a true mixed bag (any ep produced by Brian is pristine but you can really feel the DIY episodes). For the record I’d rather listen to you two recap Game of Thrones or Seinfeld over Gilmore Girls. Please don’t go there. I discovered this podcast recently and haven’t been able to stop. Binging every single episode. You guys do an amazing banter and it’s always so enjoyable and good fun! Please don’t do Carrie Diaries, it’s a bore! I’d rather listen to you do all the episodes of Gilmore Girls!
