I was a big fan even before the show started after the two host were unceremoniously separated from the previous podcast they hosted. The show has become stagnant. The conversations are shallow, they are proud to have the i most ignorant and easily debunked takes I have ever heard. No one does any kind of preparation or fact checking of any sort, literally just say things only to be contradicted by themselves in episodes past. I highly suggest looking elsewhere if you want actual dialogue, debate, objectivity and substance on any topic relevant to music or pop culture in today’s society. 0/7 show.

Rory need a new co-host cuz Mal isn’t interesting

Don’t waste your time, they don’t cover the culture objectively. Terrible jokes are told and they are hypocritical. Here is some hypocrisy, they root for Drake who settled a sexual assault case, sexual assault is in fact a violent act, Drake who’s had documented involvement with befriending minors, Drake who rapped about hanging out in a high school parking lot and said it looked like Magic City, which is a strip club. Baka’s case included violence against a woman, but he wants to declare it a holiday when he’s released from prison. And the folks on the pod support this. Not Like Us is a anti PDF file anthem but they mischaracterize as the opposite. Please don’t waste your time. Scroll through the recent reviews and you too will be surprised they gave a 4.7 rating.

It’s ok podcast

These are just two guys who happen to have recording equipment. I do not understand the appeal of this kind of show at all. They have zero credibility or expertise, and they have an extremely low hip hop IQ. Budden isn't perfect (to say the least), but he's far better than this.

All of a sudden he doesn’t know how to have a discussion. He’s dismissing his cohosts because they don’t agree with him. It’s a terrible look. And the yelling and getting all worked up because of Drake is wild. Poor Rory.

Jamil clay is the riding a man so hard I know his legs has to hurt. He is the reason of so many unfollows. I hope it turns around because Rory deserves better. This is getting sad seeing an 40 year OLD MAN campaign from Drake like this.

I literally can’t listen to Mal’s one sided opinion anymore. Rory is great and does a pretty good job and tries to be objective. Mal sounds like a crazy person and I cant take his opinion seriously.

I’m shocked by how thickheaded Mal is being around Drake/Kendrick. It’s kind of scary that people this ignorant walk this earth. His argument that Drake isn’t a pdf file is because —checks notes— he’s one of the biggest pop stars in the world? He needs to do some serious self reflection because huh? Is Mal okay? I’m asking genuinely. Please check this guy because he’s ruining this show.

Why is Mal starting to sound Joe with all the yelling lol

I was with these guys after the JBP fallout but I had to unfollow today. Mal is the problem and now I can see where Joe had enough of that guy. Mal’s views are extreme and not very objective. The tipping point was this last week where the pod didn’t acknowledge the “rap beef”. And when they did acknowledge it, Mal’s was talking of everyone, shouting and just being rude to his co hosts. I think this may be the end of their pod

Wish I could give the pod 0 stars. After this most recent episode, I’m thinking about unsubscribing. At this point I don’t even think Mal believes his own takes. Shock value? Maybe that’s why his takes have been so bad? He alone makes the pod tough to listen to. Idk, they may have just lost another listener.

Been downhill ever since Julian joined. Dude is trying to make himself a star. His “producing” is some of the worst I’ve ever heard in podcasting ever.

It happens on other podcasts so I understand but I really dislike those repeated audio sections. Makes me feel like I’m having déja vu, but no… it’s just cut and repeated.

Rory and gang are where it’s at. Mal is too egotistical and just not interesting at all.

He’s gonna hurry the end of this pod. I like Rory, love Baby D and Julian though.

Tired and disappointed in Mal's ego. Rory is willing to take the pod to the next level and Mal is holding it all back because he thinks it's "weird" to go on other people's pods. I love Mal but sometimes his takes are EXHAUSTING. I would hate for this issue to evolve into something bigger and break up the pod.. Get it together Mal.. PLEASE.

No longer subscribed to this after Mal’s advice to a caller whose girlfriend says she doesn’t want kids is to just “shoot her up”. Trust me, I’m not an overly sensitive millennial (heck, I loved the podcast and Rory & Mal’s dynamic and listened to almost every ep) but as a woman in her 30s who consciously doesn’t want children this is the most toxic, misogynistic thing I’ve ever heard come out of Mal’s mouth and that says a lot, especially when he doesn’t mind telling every other caller to just break up with their girl. How about we advocate respecting women’s wishes more? I appreciate Demaris and Rory trying to step in but I’m not sorry that I can’t support this anymore. Also, sad to see Eddin go. I get he had to be held accountable for that physical altercation, but it was outside of work and Julian seemed to be okay with it? Also Julian even gets under my skin and I don’t even know the dude.
