DecembersolChange in panelists leads to inconsistencyThe change in panelists leads to inconsistency throughout the podcasts. One podcast focuses on a character development and what we shall see in the next episode and the. The next podcasts panelists does not focus on that character and d instead on other issues. I feel like each week the podcast is a panelist whim with no consistency in knowledge or content.

DJSkinSoSmoovBad if you like Ted LassoYet another podcast where hosts talk about a show they don’t understand and barely enjoy.

OneOfYourFriendsVery Professional PodcastThe podcast is done very professionally and I like the hosts. But for my personal tastes, it’s far to critical. Hard to listen to people be so negative about such a positive show. I think everyone should give this podcast a chance and form their own opinion. But I will likely not continue to listen. Keep up the great work! Be a gold fish.

Cookie9432Every thing she saysSounds like she is asking a question. Her voice goes up at the end of a declarative statement. It is annoying and really under cuts anything she says

NRG 622Weak episodeYou guys don’t see the irony (or is it hypocrisy) in being the pundits in this situation. It’s not your story to tell. Just because the writers are not taking the story where you want it to go, it doesn’t make it bad or tropey.

Nickname213456Kelly GuimontI usually like this Podcast but Kelly Guimont ruined this weeks episode. She talks over everyone and doesn’t listen to the co-hosts.

ChoskaThe hosts don’t understand narrative or character arcI gave this podcast a fair shot but I can’t continue. The hosts misunderstand the characters. The also don’t seem to understand narrative. I think the issue is that they are too in love with the characters, and seem to want to impose their own desires for the story rather than accepting the story as it is presented.

marked for lifeNegative reviews?Just found this podcast today. Been binging it for 10 hours. I’m really enjoying it. I can’t understand any of the negative reviews. It’s been very informative and insightful and I really appreciate reliving the episodes in my head as I’m listening.

TMS1COGood to terribleThere are a few hosts who are excellent, enthusiastic, and know their stuff. That was brilliant and fun. Then there are others who are mush-mouth talkers, blowhard pontificators, or simply basic. No more guessing what the characters and writers are going to do… you get it wrong and it takes away from what’s actually happening in the episodes. Feel like there’s a lot of mansplaining and psychoanalysis. The inconsistencies of this show are maddening. Ditto what other reviewers have said about audio production and the host’s speaking volumes.

KatieCPAKeir Hansen: funny insIghtful SOFT-SPOKENTLDR: Love it, looking forward to Season 3! Keir, speak up and stop trailing the he end of sentences please. Love the show. Love the rotating contributors. Love the Easter eggs mentioned. Love the information about real world facts or details brought into the script. Love when a minor detail that stood out to me is mentioned! Obviously, nothing but LOVE for the show as a whole. I do, however have uninvited constructive criticism to share…. Every time Keir Henson is introduced as a contributor, I let out a sigh of frustration accompanied with 🙄. I try not to. I don’t want to feel these feelings. But, man, the inconsistency in his speaking volume drives me bonkers. Not only is he soft spoken in relation to the others, but his voice trails to nearly a whisper at the end of every sentence. I spend the entire episode increasing the volume when he speaks, half the time rewinding to catch the end of his statements. Then, as soon as the next person speaks my ears are blasted and I have to mute or turn the volume down immediately. I literally stopped Season2 Christmas episode to write this. I’m going to have to Tweet to him too. I just don’t know if I can handle one more episode playing this game of Whack-A-Volume-Level he puts me through. Otherwise, love his insights!

PajaritaJusticieraGreat content but sound editing is roughI love the content but please, please find a way to edit out the constant sounds of hosts/panelists loudly drinking from large cups full of ice during the podcasts. It’s distracting and really takes away from the enjoyment of the points they are making.

Lyss__99Good show overallI think it’d be better if they did a brief recap of the episode in the beginning of the show. There are some audio issues I’ve noticed (differing volumes, voices drop off (or very low volume) at end of sentences, dogs). Seems like it’s different people hosting each time. This doesn’t mean that they’re bad, just that it feels a bit disjointed. Of all the Ted Lasso podcasts I’ve tried this seemed the most listenable.

NotthefinalroseDecent but some need things to be spoonfed to themWhen a commentator needs a show to be tidy and explore everything, it’s time to hang up your boots. Think about the gray rather than black and white, this will improve your content and show your maturity. Is this the result of an education where everything is hand fed to the student? Updated: who is the guy who keeps talking over the others? He needs to stop. It has led to me changing my star rating and ceasing to follow the show. It’s just bad and immature. That being said, I do appreciate that they keep politics out of their commentary. Politics and those obsessed with it are exhausting. Hateful, spiteful bunch that should not be catered to anymore.

FamilyGuy04Sports is PoliticalI fell in love, even more, with Ted Lasso when Sam stood up for his beliefs. I wish more people would stand against the wrongs in the world. The commentator who said he didn’t appreciate the politics was showing his privilege and he was only one ‘beat’ away from essentially saying “shut up and dribble”. I’m not entirely certain which panelist made the comment so which ever it was, have several seats and keep your privilege to yourself.

theoneandonlysimonPlease control your dogOne of the better Ted podcasts although given the poor quality of some of the others ones that is not saying much but random episodes have dogs barking and whining. Very distracting and I hope they do better. They could also stand to use the word cringey far less

Fahrenheit533Good discussion,no football knowledgeI’ve enjoyed listening to this podcast but I wish the guests would do some research on Association Football. As an American who has watched and followed the old First Division and the Premier League exclusively their utter lack of knowledge is frustrating. It is only the most popular of the seven forms of football, it is the one all the rest came from.

mjjk2016A comment on S2E6Great podcast. I think I guys do a great job. I would like to add that in S2E1 Roy Kent tells Rebécca not to settle for just “fine”. Higgins gives a similar speech to Beard about Jane. Roy Kent also admonishes Ted for making Jamie “average”. This season is about not settling IMHO. Also Ted was gutted when he couldn’t be there for his son.

Jrod_2002Personally, the best Ted Lasso PodcastAfter listening to several other TL podcasts, I found FIL really does the best job diving into the episodes, and unpacking the multiple layers this phenomenal show has.

FunsizedyogiNot bad but inconsistentI started listening to this podcast when I ran out of episodes to watch, and needed to fill the Ted Lasso shaped gap in my routine. However, the guests and organization of episodes on this podcast are hit or miss. Sometimes it feels thought out and insightful, and sometimes it sounds like they just got together in the room and fan-personed over jokes for an hour. The lack of consistency is jarring and and disappointing.

USWNTstanSometimes insightful, but mostly fillerI mostly enjoyed the first season of this podcast, primarily because it was full of people geeking about the show. But I feel like they lost the thread of the show in the “Do the Right-est Thing” episode when several people talked about how much they hoped the rest of the show stays away from “politics” and how much they disliked Sam’s story arc. They said that this was a show just about being people “nice” to each other, and now “politics” was getting in the way. Yes, this is a show about people being nice, but really it’s a show about making yourself and the people around you better. What Sam does it not a “political” act (at least in the way the podcasters mean it). It is the right thing to do. The show demonstrates that Sam can either compromise his morals while his home country is literally being destroyed, or he can stand up to corruption. This isn’t about politics. It’s about human rights. Sam, and all athletes, aren't just automatons there to entertain. They are full human beings who have incredible platforms (as the episode literally says in the title) with which they can do the right-est thing. The podcasters wanting this show to just be “nice” entirely miss the point of what Ted Lasso is actually about.

LastlvllastlifeTV Critics talking a subject they don’t fully understandLet me start with saying soccer (football) is my favorite sport. So when Ted Lasso came out I was initially excited to the point where I have Apple TV for a singular reason. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of friends to discuss it with so I went looking for a podcast to see if I can talk about the depths of the show with other people. So far, I’ve listened to about half of the “Do the Right-est thing” episode and I have to say I’m not exactly happy. 20 minutes in and they were still talking about past episodes, which felt like I was listening to an older episode, rather than a short summary to catch up the listener. Another note, and maybe it’s just the fanatic in me that wishes the hosts knew more about the sport. They talked about not knowing what happens when a game ends in a draw which showed that the pod is hosted by a bunch of critics just talking about a tv show where they understand only the TV/filming aspect of the show rather than the content being filmed. Maybe not a podcast for me, but if you like Ted Lasso and are critical about the pacing of the show and how maybe characters changing is faster than your liking then this pod is for you.
