oldjohnhallPervert Behavior season 6The presenter is simply awful. Stilted language, stupid opinions, grade A bootlicker. Season 6 proves these dirty pigs act just as illegally as criminals (only worse cuz they act all high minded). Buncha pervs spending their whole day listening in to stranger’s phone calls. Ewwww

Cane-girlGangsterSimply brilliant as binged entire podcast in 1 day. As an expat I’d forgotten about that time in Birmingham. BBC at it brilliance

DC3008Excellent presentation and productionI have listened to all the Gangster series and everyone is an excellent listen. Livvy Haydock is a great presenter and interviewer, she really transports you to the environment she describes and gives great colour to every scenario and character she encounters. These are the only podcasts I’ve heard personally that make you want to binge listen as every episode leaves you wanting more. Well done to all involved and keep up the great work!

Russell gawatPolished PerformanceSounds big budget because it is. When the BBC spend our money you can tell.

magaoingoWow, Big Time PodcastThis is a high dollar production. Everything about it screams professional, the music, the voices, the interviews, everything. Quite remarkable. And by no means does it glamorize criminals as one misguided reviewer commented.

Edna MillayTroublingIt is well enough made and certainly entertaining but herein lies the rub. There is a tone of breathless wonder in it which comes too close to the admiration of really dangerous, craven criminals for me. I admit I stopped after listening after five episodes, so maybe there are interviews with people whose kids died of drug abuse or gang violence in the later ones to balance the "aint it amazing!" tone of the show. In my community, organized crime is going unchecked. Maybe I'm just not in the mood to hear how clever they are.

USAfishermanFast paced dramaThe story is intriguing and keeps the listener engaged. Adding more from the outside perspective of people who lived through it might add something more. I agree the accents are a bit tough at times being from the US but you can still follow along quite easily. I am quite fond of non-fiction podcasts dealing with over the top capers and sometimes I almost find myself rooting for the outlaw (if I knew it wasn’t hurting real people). I say let people do what makes them feel good but just don’t hurt me in the process. Keep up the nice job on this story.

yoga.ahaInterestingInteresting, a bit over-produced but well done.

alittlerecklessTough if you’re not from the UKThe accents are hard as someone from the US. And I have worked for UK based organizations for 10+ years, but the dialect and accents meant I missed quite a bit of the detail. But I suppose I’m probably not the target audience for this and of course no one’s fault—just the way it is!

wtrgurlGangsterI really enjoyed listening to it. It was interesting and well produced. I knew of the gang/gun issues in Manchester/salford around that time but this really told the story of how it all came down.
