So good! But do more! PLEASE!
It is so good! Maybe you can make some for like crazy birds like Macaws or Ospreys! That would be cool.

Exactly what I was hoping for
    Please do more!

    Worthwhile endeavor
I only have to assume this is the love child born of when time stood still for Covid. Where silly small things could make your heart burn with passion. When you had time to stay silent and just listen, think, learn. While short lived I thank you two for your hours of work that have touched me this very day when I listened to them back to back. I hope you still take the time to wonder and grow even though time doesn’t stand still and there is no room readily carved out for people to invest in themselves.

    Awesome Podcast!
More episodes! This is a fantastic show. I am taking an avian ecology class and have to quickly learn bird calls. This show has helped me with that. Thank you! Can you please do Carolina Wren next?

    Exactly What I’m Looking For
Very, very beginner birder here. Ear birding is what I’m most interested in to learn to identify birds. Found this podcast as it is EXACTLY what I am looking for to learn about birding by ear. Hopefully in the future y’all will continue making more podcasts but until then, will be listening to these 5 podcasts and learn about these 5 birds!

    Informative and Fun!
My 4 and 6 year old and I love listening to this podcast in the morning. Our favorite episode so far was the one on the Black-Capped Chickadee and the kids were so excited to tell my husband about how the bird says its name and adds extra “dees” if in danger. We’re not exactly birders, but we’ve learned a lot and it really helps us tune in to the birds we encounter throughout the day! PS: The audio quality is excellent and NPR should hire the hosts.

    Love this!
This podcast is really helpful and informative. I love how each episode focuses on one bird, and provides not only the sound piece but also tidbits that help you get to know that bird’s personality. The hosts are easygoing, making it very relaxing to listen to. Keep the episodes coming!

    Love the Sound comparisons!
When you mentioned the marbles hitting each other I thought that was a perfect example 👌I also love your logo! You should sell some merch!

Love the episodes and find it very helpful for learning bird songs and calls. This is exactly what I was looking for! Would love more episodes!

Mm hm. Mm hm. Mm hm.
I’m listening for the first time. The fella host sounds very prepared and poised. The gal host sounds less so, and as he’s talking, she keeps interjecting with “mm hm…mm hm…” and now that’s all I’m hearing. I’m sure she’s smart, but the way she talks doesn’t showcase that.

    Wish they kept going
Love it. Super informative. Too bad, it looks like they shelved it. Here’s to hoping they get back at it

    Great sounds!
I’m a beginner as a birder, and I found this during a search. It’s terrific! With lots of great information. The funny thing was that as I was listening to the song sparrow with my AirPods, I was aware that near me, a bird was singing the same song! Keep up the great work.

    Great podcast for beginner birders
I am just getting in to birding and am terrible at telling calls apart, but this podcast gives a great discussion of the calls, what they sound like, other calls that could be confused, etc. instead of just playing the sounds, it really helps

    The Cat LOVES this show!
I live in a steep, deep riparian canyon with dense brush. Probably 80% of my birding is by ear because you just can’t see birds here. I was wandering around the inter webs, cat on lap, looking at birding and natural history podcasts and behold, I found this one! The cat definitely appreciates the clarity of the bird calls you have included, so much so she tried to crawl into the phone. What a great job you’ve done, a huge challenge undertaken, perfect blend of birdsong and description. I, and the cat, look forward to future episodes. Helen & Ragbag

    Great find! We need more!
This podcast is so helpful and fun to listen to. I love getting guided through how to decode the patterns of sounds. It is also like having a successful birding day, even when I cannot get out. I will be replaying them. You are so kind to beginners . Grateful!

    Great podcast for beginner birders
My 8-year old son and I started birding together during the pandemic (like the hosts) and are just starting to learn some birding calls by ear. We love listening to this podcast in our car rides. The hosts are very relatable and break the songs down in a way that makes them easy to remember. I also love that they cover birds that occur where I live (California) and don’t focus on Birda of the Northeast like so many other birding resources. I hope they will have some additional episodes.

How they keep going. Very informative

    Learning a lot here!
Thanks for putting this podcast out! I’m learning a lot and hope you make more. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because the audio is loud/soft and so I have to keep turning it down and up. Other than that, love this show!

    Hope They Continue
I have really enjoyed the first five episodes of this podcast. Has been very helpful for me as a beginner as well. Hope that they will continue on as it has been a few months since their fifth episode.

    Fun, informative, entertaining!
I am enjoying this dynamic duo of birding! I’m not a real birder yet - but their quirky and fun yet informative banter is piquing my birding interest and tuning my ear to hear and really enjoy these amazing song creatures of the air! 🦆🦅🦉Can’t wait for more, please!

    Great for beginning birders
Very good, well researched. I have two suggestions. Please replay all bird sounds at the end of the show as a quick review. Please consider changing the theme song as it is harsh. Thanks for the great introduction to birding by ear.

    When you make learning fun!
Great podcast. I’m an avid birder and I’ve learned things about these songs I never considered. Also... best intro song in the business.

    Please make more thanks
Super-effective structure and format — this is really good stuff! Birding by ear is difficult but these pods break down each species in a way that really sticks. The descriptions are clever and the hosts are endearing. I hope to hear more soon.

    Fun content!
I’m loving learning about bird songs and calls with the hosts. They’ve got a great format for learning and I think their comparisons are spot on and very helpful in remembering them for the future. Hoping the next season will spill over into birds of the east as I’m in Florida.
