This podcast gets better and better with every episode! Must listen if you’re a helicopter aviator or just interested in helicopters! Keep up the good work!

I only started listening to The Helicopter Podcast a few months ago and needless to say, I’m hooked. It’s such a great way to learn more about this very niche industry and get insights into all the cool things pilots get up to. Halsey’s not only an awesome host but is also very responsive and helpful to any one who reaches out to him for advice (basing it on my personal experience). Thank you so much for all your help Halsey and please keep up the good work!

Halsey has been my go to for a podcast to get through long drives and long shifts at work. I am looking into flight schools, especially ones that qualify for the GI Bill and found episode #36 with Adam Rickard very helpful to guide me through the process of utilizing those benefits. Every podcast is different and I enjoy learning different point of views about the industry.

As a hopeful future pilot that just applied to flight school, this podcast has been an outstanding resource for me, learning the ins and outs of the industry. I am looking to jumpstart my career in aviation and I honestly believe this podcast is giving me a leg up. Thanks Halsey for following through with this podcast and making it thoroughly informative in all aspects of the aviation industry.

What a great resource for the aspiring helicopter pilot. Immersion is the best way to learn anything, and this is a excellent tool to keep yourself learning about the world of helicopters while just driving along in your car. You never know what little nugget of info might save your bacon someday. Halsey has a great radio voice, and his personality and general attitude is a great role model for young pilots. The only complaints I have are audio quality related. On some episodes, Halsey is very loud, while the guest is too quiet, so I’m constantly fiddling with the volume. Also, the spoken intro audio portion before the Sellacopter plug sounds very compressed. Every time I pick up my keys, my first thought is wether or not I have a new episode.

Great helicopter industry based podcast. Halsey has a great way of interviewing someone while keeping topics open for a natural discussion. This show is growing and doing great things while becoming a fantastic resource for helicopter pilots new and seasoned alike

I’m currently studying for my private pilot checkride and this show is really valuable to my growing knowledge about helicopter. I love the structure of the podcast by talking to people and there story of how they got started in helicopters.

Feel like Episode 1 was geared toward the initial CFI, which is the stage I hope to shortly tackle. Loved all the descriptions & emphasis placed on the PTS by both Sean & Halsey. Unfortunately the person I been working (ratings wise) with is Not going to be able to complete my initial CFI thus I’ll have go somewhere else 🥲 Have a good idea of where I would like to go & finish my training, but also open to suggestions. I’ve been listening to the helicopter podcast for a few days now and so far it’s been awesome. I’m currently going through flight training in Utah working on my PPL and I wanted to find something to listen to in order to keep immersing myself in the helicopter world. I’ve loved listening to the shop talk and helicopter flying experiences. I’m looking to make a career flying helicopters so it’s been great to hear about the careers of various pilots and get a better look into what options for jobs are available in the industry, as well as getting advice for how to land those jobs. The podcast has been great so keep the episodes coming!
