I used to listen to BPP often. I love analytics and Beancounter provided numbers-based prospecting from the perspective of a Canadian who doesn’t watch ANY football. I thought that was interesting, so I started to check it out. I like a good process and he had that. I sub’d to his patron and enjoyed it for a while. Lately, though (especially the 4/20/23 episode), it seems like Drew just has Jakob on there to provide the good stuff and Drew is just the “he was bad!” guy. That’s the extent of his prospecting. Charbonnet is ranked low because “he’s just bad”. Then goes onto say why and you realize the reason why is stuff that’s contradictory to what was said about guys like Bigsby and Tucker. Bigsby has lower RAS than Charbonnet, but that doesn’t matter in this seemingly cherry-picked narrative. Charbonnet was not good for two years and then was just fine. Then says Bigsby was great, then great, then great again. That guy was statistically garbage for two years lol. I don’t even like Charbonnet, the point is the analysis has come down to “he’s not good.” That’s trash and even Jakob seemed bothered by it on the pod. Jakob is the only reason to listen anymore.

Definitely need to give these guys a listen if you haven’t already! Great podcast with great content!

Drew is back on the feed, and the setup with Jakob is incredibly good. Two of the best minds in the space, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Back to 5 stars. Previous review: Would’ve given 5 stars back when Drew was creating content. He’s one of the best dynasty analysts in the space. But he’s been mia for a long time now. I feel bad for the other guys cause they seem smart but I subscribed to this feed for Drew and he’s just not a part of it anymore.

Wishes he was an alpha

I love the content, and I really want to enjoy this show, but I cringe while listening. The host screams the entire show and screams from the back of his throat, it’s really painful to listen to. Maybe just tone down the yelling? The content is so good that it doesn’t need the screaming.

As much as I love this podcast, I can’t in good conscious share this info with my league-mates. Every single episode I come away with actionable analytic info that gives me an edge over people who aren’t listening. Between you and Josh Larky’s code breaker episodes I’m not sure which I like more, but I can assure you I will NEVER miss an episode of this podcast!

A wise man once said genius is the ability to explain a complex process in a simplified way where any person of any intelligence can understand. Drew is a metrics guy, and he explains his process brilliantly. Many analysts follow the “hype”, Drew follows the data and lets the results speak for themselves, good or bad. His analysis is backed by metrics, and he doesn’t follow the “gut feel” hypocrisy of the many fantasy analysts. He also won’t spend 1/3 of the podcasts (not even 1/10!) discussing the weather, inside jokes, laughing about personal time spent during COVID. Be sure to give him a follow on Twitter!

I’ve followed Drew on Twitter for a year or so and really like his insight & prospect analysis. I was happy to see he started his own podcast and haven’t been disappointed.

He is just as helpful of a resource when it comes to startup strategy, players to buy and sell and every other facet of dynasty. If you are overwhelmed by the endless dynasty advice found on Twitter and want just one place to hit on everything than there is no better person than Drew.

Drew is the best fantasy follow I have made in the last two years. No one is better at showing you how to maximize value and he does a great job of simplifying his data so that anyone can understand it.

it’s pretty simple. if you want to win in fantasy football for any format you should follow drew’s analysis. drew is an analytics based analysts. he sticks to his process and fades the noise and hype. betting on players prospect profiles is his bread and butter. his podcast, twitter, and joining his patreon/discord will get you the most prepared for your upcoming rookie draft, startup draft, and in-season moves. DIVE IN!

If you want to hear analytics but also real talk about who the best prospects are this is the show for you. I have been following his Twitter for awhile and glad to see he is actually doing podcasts now too. Great job
