I started listening to Behind The Stays right after we purchased a beach home that we planned to turn into a STR. I wanted to learn the stories of other hosts who had created interesting/unique/well-designed rentals and had, in the process, created true brands with smart marketing. Behind the Stays quickly became my favorite podcast to both learn and be entertained. I listen to a lot of podcast shows and Zach’s interview style is by far the most professional and well-informed in this industry. He brings on interesting guests and asks informed and educated questions that truly bring value to another host listening in. We DIY renovated our home for 6 months and most days I’d have Behind the Stays playing while I tiled a backsplash, wallpapered, hung shiplap, cut trim, etc, etc. This show is honestly what kept me motivated and inspired. Our STR launched and has far far exceeded our expectations and I think this podcast truly helped make that possible. If you are a host or dreaming of becoming one and you want to be inspired by the stories of others before you, Behind the Stays should be your #1 podcast.

However, Behind the Stays brings a fresh perspective to the industry focusing on hosts, creators and experts all working to develop unique guest experiences. The podcast is full of helpful information and tips, but most of all it feels like an interesting conversation between friends. Zach is a talented interviewer and does a great job helping you get to know the guests, their inspiration, what drives them, along with little nuggets of helpful tips along the way.
