    Love the show
This is a great show! Can’t wait for the ending! At times there are some awkward pauses however the plot is still good enough to continue. I would love to see it on the screen.

    Entertaining but?
This podcast was enjoyable, however it’s a year later and there is no conclusion 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Hooked
Very much enjoying this show! Finished all of the episodes so far and can’t wait to hear what’s next. The plot is fun, the acting is pretty good. I like how it takes place in different settings. I think some of the female characters could be written to be more dimensional. Also I want to hear more about the deepening relationship between Joseph and Antonia!

    Captivating show
I started listening to Dirt: An Audio Drama upon a recommendation from another fiction podcast. I found myself making Dirt my priority one listen. I finished all 3 available seasons and bonus extras. The actors are engaging in their roles and the production and sound effects are very well done. Can’t wait for the final season to drop this Fall.

I like the way it keeps me listening

    Excelent
"Dirt" podcast is a gripping audio drama that immerses listeners into a world of mystery and intrigue. From the very first episode, it captivates with its compelling storyline and masterful use of audio sampling. Kris Kaiyala's talent shines through not only in his storytelling but also in his voice, drawing listeners deeper into the narrative. What sets "Dirt" apart are its unexpected twists and turns, constantly leaving you on the edge of your seat and wondering what will happen next. Each episode unfolds like a well-crafted puzzle, keeping the audience engaged and eager for more. "Dirt" receives my highest recommendation for anyone seeking a thrilling audio experience. Whether you're a fan of mysteries or simply appreciate quality storytelling, this podcast delivers on all fronts.

    Very engaging
The plot is very compelling and the story seems well-thought out. There are too many unnatural pauses in the dialogue, as other reviewers have noted, but for me it doesn’t take too much away from the storyline. I really can’t wait for season 4.

Great podcast / story / drama
I stumbled across dirt about a month ago and in a few weeks binged the first few seasons. It’s incredible thus far. Thus far because I no idea that the story wasn’t finished when I began and the last real episode was posted over 6 months ago… and that’s my only complaint. I wish I could binge the entire podcast because I’m invested, really enjoy the podcast and will forget some by the time it starts back up again.

    Amazing!
I breezed through all the episodes, eagerly waiting for the next clue… can’t wait for the next season! So clever, and love the pac northwest setting.
  • best and first podcast!!
    My first podcast!!!!
I herd my dad listening to this and I decided to also listen to it. It’s amazing and I’ve listened to the whole thing a second time! Can’t wait for the next season!!!

    Outstanding!
This podcast is gripping and intriguing; I can’t wait for the third season to come out! Me and my 10 year old daughter binged it all in one weekend because we simply couldn’t put it down. There are elements of mystery, science fiction and all manner of other forms of drama to enjoy here. Bonus: it is very family friendly, so we are looking forward to playing the podcast all over again when we take a big family trip across the country this summer. I don’t think the third season will be out by then, but maybe we will be very lucky! And for those very few and rare reviews that don’t like the author’s voice? Ridiculous! He sounds exactly like the character that he portrays and has written so well.

Great story, stilted dialogue, bad acting
And yet I keep coming back

    Decent overall
It’s pretty good. The voice acting can be a bit amateur at times, but it’s not a deal breaker as it’s mainly side characters. The main character is a good voice actor. The plot is good, which is most important. There tends to be parts in some of the episodes where there is no dialogue. It’s either background music or background noises like creaks or shuffling. It’s kind of odd, since we are not seeing anything, just listening. I fast forward but sometimes I have to skip 2 minutes until I hear dialogue. I’m sure it’s being used to build a picture or capture a vibe, but we don’t need the character walking around his home for 2 minutes since we can’t see anything. Describing would be one thing, but it’s just background noise and dead air for 2 minutes and I find myself thinking “What is going on? Was this accidentally left in?”

    So compelling and gorgeous
I love this show! The plot is really compelling and I enjoy the sci-fi overlay without gruesomeness. I also love the setting in the PNW which is so beautiful and also mysterious.

    My First Podcast
I just started listening to Podcasts as I have a bit of time on the highway to and from work. My first listen was Dirt. I am hooked and excited for more! Actually worth staying the entire Seasons again to make sure I didn’t miss anything!
  • Outthemudv
    Worst narrator I’ve ever heard
This man’s voice is so boring
  • Dr. Watson 123456789
    Good story
A very compelling story that keeps you interested and engaged. The only detractor is the voice acting is a bit stilted and amateurish, but not enough to ruin the flow.

    Great story
Great story narrated nicely, with really good sound effects and music!
  • CarmineWlo
    Love the podcast
Immersive. Would give 5 stars but each individual voice feels separately recorded and not interactively recorded. In particular, the conversations with her parents are disjointed. I don’t like the parents voices at all. The father sounds monotone and untrained. The mother is unconvincing and too laid back as well. The narrator is the only animated character. Which makes it feel like he is carrying the show solo. Otherwise 5 stars.

Compelling Show with Great Ties & References to Washington State
I was immediately hooked on the show, and I found it a very compelling listen. Not only is the story really solid with homages to treasure seeking & old-time mysteries, but one of the best parts of this is the actual references to towns and locations across the greater Seattle and Pacific Northwest, Washington areas. Love those references, and they make it more real! Great job!

    Want more episodes
Just found this a few days ago and already binged all episodes and hoping it’s not true that next season is the final season

Loved this story! Binge listening and never bored! Keep it up. We need more of these!
  • galyssw
Great story line but sigh sounds I don’t love
Super story line so far but every time the narrator sighs it is super cringy and happens way too frequently. Listening despite that and the sometimes stuff lines.
  • Jennyfurociousness
    Great detail!
Episode 1 started off a little slow for me. However, I quickly became addicted, especially, with the surround sound effects emphasized with using my earbuds. I listen to all sorts of podcasts while working outside at ranch. I have been fooled several times thinking the clear sounds I hear are outside. But, no, they were in the story! Great writing and performance so far!

Amazing …. Slow burn to OHMYGOODNESS
Slow burn that builds over time to a magnificent story and intricate plot. I love it and can’t wait till S4.
  • RaQStarz
    Trailer is horrible
Can’t get to the story past all the music…it would be wonderful to hear the story line and music at the end…..don’t know if I even want to listen after that….
  • Emonkeyrsdjdn
Can’t get past the fake Hispanic accents
I really wanted to keep listening to this, but I can’t get past what sounds like very forced, fake Spanish accents from the Flores family. The dialogue including them feels forced and fake all around. Can’t continue listening.

    Love this show!
I seriously can’t wait for Season 4. I binged all of the seasons and the cliffhanger has me so excited for what’s next.
  • Accesette
Not bad, but not my thing
I listened to 3 seasons & just don’t really care about any of the characters to continue. Lots of pauses & slow, plodding narration I had to speed up the play speed just to get through it. The main character is the owner of a company going through a major deal & he just disappears for days beforehand just to go on a scavenger hunt. Rich guy problems, am I right? That may have been part of why I just can’t be bothered with continuing it. He goes off & does something that 99% of us could never do & we’re supposed to be concerned for him?! And then his stupid decision making without getting all the facts. How did someone this stupid ever get to own his own company??
  • Geumpyhistory
    Very, very good story
I waited to write a review until I was deep into the second season. It starts off okay. Radio announcer voice narration that was a bit overwrought. Too much scene setting, maybe. But it hits a stride and stays there. Good amount of mystery, good amount of human interactions that become more and more realistic. A character learning what he wants from life; learning what he wants next. Stick with this one, it’s definitely worth it.

    Can’t Wait For More!
I have really enjoyed this podcast. It’s definitely one of the best written and keeps me wanting more. I love the mystery of it all.

    BEST STORY!
Ugh I love this show so much I just binged it all in a day. I NEED more!! So good - hope to hear more soon!
  • Melackfood
Solid story - kinda goofy acting
I’m fully engrossed, it’s a great story. The acting is not the best though…

    I’m all in
I love this show. The storyline has me completely hooked, and I love that I really have no idea what’s going to happen next. The season 2 finale had me freaking out! There are moments where the voice over narration feels too stilted, but the story is so intriguing that it doesn’t matter.

    Unexpectedly Hooked
So, this podcast. It had me hooked after episode 1. I love the mystery it presented not only to the protagonist but also to the listener. The show is well scored and the voices are unique in their deliveries. The journey, twists and turns, with some folklore meets Sherlock Holmes is very intriguing. I just finished season 3. I want more…NOW (please)! Can’t wait to hear just how this mystery is resolved.

    Good and not so good
We binged this series on a recent road trip. The story line is well done and the pacing of the plot is engaging. I learned so much about Washington state geography!! The things that were “not so good” for me include a lot of long silent pauses throughout different episodes (we kept checking to make sure we were still connected!) and some of the character actors had very stiff, unnatural delivery of their lines. Nonetheless, I’m a fan and look forward to future episodes.
  • Drifted88
    Pretty good
Just finished season one. Good overall. The “Tannis” style narration seems to stick around. At least the jumping around and secrets for no reason THANKFULLY stop after the first couple episodes. Decent story. Voice acting improves as the show progresses. Not nearly as bad as some podcasts I have suffered or continue to suffer through. Podcast clip ads are annoying. No idea what podcast is being advertised as there’s no introduction to them. By the time I realize it’s not Dirt anymore, I just skip.

    Loving it!
I recently found Dirt, and audio drama. I haven't been a big fan of audio dramas, but I love this series! The music, the progression. I'm so glad there are many episodes ahead, and I would be impatient waiting. Great story, voices, sounds and setting. Excellent!
  • bagnew92
    Not for me
Narrator talks too much. Voice is really shrill
  • John VerValen
    Great podcast
As a lifelong native of Washington, I like the story setting but am very impressed that they pronounce the names of towns, rivers and locations correctly. Indian names can be very hard to pronounce but they got everything so far correct!!!!! The story is very compelling also and has me looking forward to episode 21. Keep up the good work…

    Too Many Promos
I have given up trying to listen to this series, mostly because there are so many clips from other podcasts. If I want to just listen to Dirt, I have to wade through several podcast clips. I can’t skip forward easily bc it’s difficult to tell what is or isn’t Dirt. All the audio dramas sound basically the same and I can’t distinguish between them quickly. There are many other audio dramas out there.
  • ar brathwaite
    Good Audio-listening!!!
I listen to many audio dramas and I believe Dirt was written and performed well. The 3-part series kept my interest, and I was intrigued with the premise of a scavenger hunt from the past.
  • Ebeeeend
    Phenomenal
This podcast is awesome! It’s so easy to binge and so intriguing every step of the way. The imagery used throughout is stunning and I truly feel like I’m along for the ride. I don’t always enjoy the narration style where it cuts back and forth between dialogue / internal monologue, but I think it works great here!
  • Lou2407
    Great show
Really like the way this is put together. Great job.
  • fivemjs
    Excellent
I totally love this show! It’s just an easy listen with enough intrigue and suspense to keep you hooked, but not stress me out.
  • JaneBerlinH
    Not for me
This is just personal preference of course. I’m sure there are plenty of people out there who can enjoy this podcast. But for me? The acting was really hard for me to listen to and the story was awkward while also being kind of slow.
  • Kona1209
    Leaves you guessing
First ever audio drama I ever started that got me hooked. You’re so into it that you’re literary guessing the next move or words that’s gonna be said and done! Appreciate the hard work, all the amazing sounds that are so realistic and the music that is pretty good to listen to. Give it a listen and I’m sure you will get hooked!
