Story seems ok, but this is loud. There is so much screaming and yelling so keep your device nearby to save your ears. Will give it a bit more time as it has decent music and sound design I just hope it evens out volume wise.

This was almost good, but not quite. It never really took off in a way that captivated me. At first I thought the acting was pretty good but then the performances started getting a little heavy handed/melodramatic. It couldn’t seem to set a tone that worked. Something always felt slightly off. Was it the story or the writing or the pacing? Was it the acting? The sound design? I think all of the above. But none of them were terrible. It just didn’t come together in a very satisfying way.

Came over to listen after hearing Shane interviewed on just dumb enough and so glad I did. This production is so great! It really is the best mix of the genres possibilities.

I really thought I would be able to listen to Carcerem while doing other things around the house. Podcasts are a great companion for daily life. But a few moments in, I kew that wasn’t going to work. The sound design was so engaging, seized my mind’s eye and held it rapt to the point that I had to sit down and focus. This series has everything you would want from a fantasy—women and men sword fighting and strategizing together, supernatural forces, beasts, marauding villains with complex motives, coming-of-age angst, battle loyalty, intergenerational lore, a magical puzzle quest… and after that finale, I’m hoping for a second season to get a few questions answered! Incredible performances from a star-studded cast, and extraordinary production values with masterful sound design. Hiiiiiighly recommend.

Just started listing to this, I ran across something on the web about the dad from The Middle tv show Neil Flynn bring a part of this podcast & my wife & I watch the middle religiously & I thought I’d give it a listen & I love it so far!

Carcerum is an absolute joy ride full of great characters, a fun premise, and excellent voice acting. I'm really happy that I came across this during my quarantine because it's brought a lot of joy to my household. The adults and kids in this household are all equally enjoying!

I found Carcerem from the great folks at Nerd On! The Podcast. I start episode 1 and found myself at the end of what is available so far within a day! The story telling draws you in and each subsequent episode has you wanting more. Fantastic!

This is not a genre that I normally am in to but after reading the reviews that talked about the quality I decided to give it a shot and totally agree acting, production are phenomenal and even though the story is not something I would like it has really grown on me and I have become just as interested as any other pod I have listened to. Definitely should give it a listen!!

The production value on this series is out of this world! I was hooked after the first episode, the next ones can’t come soon enough

This show is breathtaking. Words simply can’t describe how well produced it is and how well written and performed. My only complaint is that the episode aren’t longer.

This is the best produced audio drama I’ve heard! The acting is amazing, the story is compelling, and the production quality, SFX, and music make it a fully immersive experience. I come back every Tuesday with high anticipation and always not wanting it to end. What a dream it would be to be a part of something like this one day!

This is my first podcast of this genre, I didn’t know what to expect when starting but WOW AM I HOOKED! The writing and voice acting is amazing and really makes you feel as though you’re in the action! 👏🏼🤩

I love this series so much. The actors are fantastic and listening to this series really makes me feel like I’m there or I am playing this all out in my head. Great job. You must listen to fully experience the character’s journey’s with them.

Carcerem is so smart and intriguing and well produced. I’m not a huge fan of fantasy, but the story is so consuming from the start. I started listening on my drive to work and it’s the perfect length! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to try something new.

This audio series absolutely redefines the genre. I kept feeling like I was watching while I listened which is a testament to the quality, the performances, and the storytelling. I’ve never listened to anything quite like this and I can’t wait to get a new episode each week. All hail Carcerem and the magic of Aaru!!

This series has been brilliant so far. The cast is excellent, the acting has been superb, the music is gorgeous, the sound design is fantastic and with great writing, the story is so intriguing. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever heard. After the two-part opener I was hooked and the following episode has left me yearning for more. I’m thoroughly enjoying it!

So well done! The sounds make you feel like your running through Aru with some really great characters! Excited to hear more and dive deeper into this world!

Blown away...The production quality, the writing, the acting , the score...i’s like I’m at the movies! The sound is so satisfying you may want to play it over your best sound system. The hook has been set and only two episodes in!

Such an excellent and engaging podcast! Super fun story!

The story of Carcerem grabs you from the beginning. The expert sound design makes you feel like you are in their world. The sword fights are right next to you. I enjoyed the first two episodes and look forward to more.

BUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT I NEED EPISODE 3. I needed something outside of Serial Killers that told stories with a little less fact and a little better acting and this does not disappoint. The score is stuck in my head already. It's like watching Lord of the rings while I'm stuck in traffic without the visuals but you aren't missing anything without them.

Only two episodes in and I am loving all of the action and adventure that this podcast offers. The acting is amazing as well! 😁

The best mind-movie I’ve ever heard. . . and _I_ still remember sitting on the carpet in front of the cabinet radio on Saturday mornings listening to “The Lone Ranger,” “Sergeant Preston of the Yukon,” Captain Midnight” and “Space Patrol.” I was four- or five-years-old. Kudos to Shane Salk and Bill for bringing back and improving on the best of the Golden Age of Radio.

Umm I’m obsessed!! This show completely transforms what a podcast can be. I was fully transported into this world - it is an action-packed, and even though you can’t see what’s going on, the sound effects are so artfully and effectively done, you know exactly what’s happening. The cast and acting are 10/10. This is so impressive and I can’t wait to find out what happens next!

Blasted through the first two episodes and am now on the edge of my seat waiting to hear what happens next!!!!! Amazing, amazing, amazing!!

Wow! It really exercises a different way of experiencing storytelling. The characters and story grab your attention right away and by the end of the second episode, I was hooked and totally entrenched wanting to know more. Love how dynamic the characters are in such a short period of time.

The quality of this show is amazing! I can’t wait for more! I was so invested in the story that I forgot I was listening to a podcast. This is a world I’d love to spend more time in!
