The narrator’s voice is absolutely amazing. It’s so soothing, even though she’s talking about very dark things. My issue is with the incorrect information that she provides. Specifically on her most recent episode about the Hinterkaifeck murders. She didn’t even get the location of the bodies, correct. She told the story in a colorful, engaging manner, but why change where people were found? The mother, little girl and both grandparents were found in the barn. Not a blood-soaked house. The maid and baby were found inside the home. What was the narrative value of changing that? Especially when she goes in to detail how the livestock was slaughtered in the barn…

I stumbled across Redrum after having searched a particular crime and thought I’d give it a try…thankful I did as I really enjoyed the two I’ve listen to thus far. I listen to a lot of true crime and was impressed Redrum was covering crimes I had not heard of previously….Thanks!!

Very well researched. The narrator is quite sensitive and empathetic towards victims and their families. The only negative is that narrator’s voice is too monotone, robotic and without inflection.

Please please please practice reading your script several times before you record episodes!!! The jerky stop and start of sentences and thoughts is so distracting!! The cases are interesting but not conveyed with proper context structure! Your choppy presentation of verbalized thought makes it impossible for me to continue to listen anymore!!! I can’t believe some reviewers complained about this host's lovely, serene & sincere voice!?! For this type of format— earnest, well produced story-telling— what on earth could BE better, or more appropriate? There ARE brash and chatty true crime shows— plenty! It’s so nice to have a podcast and host that sticks to the facts, tells the story and is not only respectful to the victims but also the listeners. No drama, no personal opinions that listeners could care less about and no rhetoric, and conjecture. The cases are interesting and even when/if they’re stories I’m familiar with, i like listening to them on Redrum. Redrum is among my top most favorite podcasts. I could listen to Grace tell me a story every single day. The writing is thorough yet concise, the storytelling is compelling and compassionate. There is nothing I’d change except wanting more.

I don’t listen to every episode, but am never disappointed by the ones I choose. Grace speaks well and keeps personal comments to a minimum and well-placed. Best of all, she doesn’t ruin everything with having her Bestie join her for a giggle fest. Writing and production values are also top notch. I’m on the verge of subscribing. I do wonder about the meaning of the tagline “ the true victims of crime”—what other victims can there be?My tech nit to pick is that the background music is sometimes so repetitive that it becomes downright distracting. I notice this the most in newer episodes. —Update: Please—Sian O’Callahan/Becky case has been done to death in every media including multiple rv and film. In spite of these all being sympathetic it is clear that officer was wrong and jeopardised the prosecution.

Well written, respectful, and straight to the point. Her calming voice keeps heart rate down and head from thumping. Perfect for winding down if you’re a true crime junkie.

This is one of my new favorite podcasts. I really like that I haven’t heard these stories before. As a true crime fan, I get tired of the same stories. The host has a wonderful voice and the podcast is well researched. If you like Casefile, this podcast has the same kind of vibe. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing podcast if you like true crime and not all the chitter chatter of the host. The narrator is caring in her approach but makes it interesting which is not easy.

Her voice is so boring. You’re talking about gnarly stuff - can you perk up or nah?

I heard one episode and ran straight to Patreon. This is the best new podcast I’ve heard recently. Brilliant writing with a narrative form a bit different from the typical format. This is such a well-told podcast. It's very serious, but very elegant. It's well researched, and I really enjoy the way it's told more from the victim's point of view than the criminal's, letting the victims of these crimes stand out so much more. I really enjoy this podcast a great deal!
