As a kayaker I initially started listening to the Paddlers Playbook for the kayaking. My local fishery is the Pacific Ocean so I don’t do any red fishing, but when the Redfish Network brought on The Empty Stringers podcast I gave it a listen just because it’s fishing relevant. Since then I haven’t missed an episode and I really enjoy Matt’s take on the fishing and world around him, and I enjoy the Bible tid-bit. Great addition to the network.

Drew has been great bringing great saltwater fishing podcasts to the Texas Gulf coast and some freshwater guests mixed in too. Now with the addition of Empty Stringers to the Redfish Network we get even more good fishing knowledge. Matt brings the perspective of the boat angler and always on Thursdays to help those who are weekday challenged. We can hear info to help us find good fishing on our weekend trips.

Best Saltwater Podcast

If you’re a kayak angler, or just a fisherman in general, this is a great show for you. Drew and Chris are two very real, down to Earth guys. They keep the listeners engage throughout their banter with each other. Their guests are always very knowledgeable about their topic. I encourage you listen to a couple episodes, and you’ll be hooked (pun intended)….keep up the good work, boys!

Being fellow kayak anglers, these guys get it and the show reflects their passion and love for the sport.

I think the podcast is good, but it’s hard to tell. The volume is horrendous. One guy you can barely hear and the other guy bust your eardrums out. You really need to work on your sound levels.

Two of the funniest guys in the fishing podcast land! Drew and Chris have seen a lot, they’ve done a lot, and they share all that craziness in the podcast. Give them a listen, and prepare to laugh.

Enjoyed the Marsh Ninja episode, the Interaction between Nic and Chris and Drew was informative and entertaining….and they weren’t even drunk!

I don’t even gear fish, so half of the stuff these guys talk about, I don’t understand. On top of that, I’ve never fished in Texas and wouldn't know the first thing about that habitat. But there is something about the interaction between these guys that makes this podcast just work - even more so than the other fly fishing podcasts I listen to. And I listen to a lot of them. Listening to Drew and Chris reminds me of the trash talking I do with my fishing buddies, and sometimes that’s just as fun as the fishing. Honestly, I think I could listen to these guys talk about almost anything - they are that good. Guys, you have something special with this podcast, so I hope you keep it going and keep finding success. Great job!

Not good

Really like the show… found out things I didn’t know and found out things I did know… but didn’t know what to call them like crab walking.

For anyone who enjoys kayaking and fishing this is the podcast for you. Salt or Fresh doesn’t matter. These two guys Drew and Chris know there stuff and if they don’t the will have a guest on that does know. Great information for the beginner or the experienced kayak angler.

Love the whole different host throughout the week. Get a new podcast everyday. Awesome work ladies and gentlemen.

I drive an hour to work and man this podcast is the best. I currently live in Arkansas but I’m from the big H town. You guys go in depth when it comes with fishing from kayaks. Thank you for the podcast and all the info about buying a kayak for the 1st time. Also I did subscribe to the YouTube channel!
