After reading the anxious generation, I came to this podcast to hear some further discussion about the book. Disappointed to quickly learn that neither podcast host had actually read the book before spending an hour talking about the book. From the first couple of minutes, they already got some of the facts wrong. It’s important to do the homework. Read the book before you do a podcast about it.

Shane and Alex are so relatable and their podcast is very informative especially if like me you are an new parent. I’m still amazed how far it’s come and how many awesome guests they get.

They did their research and still had Jenelle on their podcast. Her husband tortured and murdered an innocent animal and beats her son. There’s proof and it’s sick! Sorry

First off I won’t continue to support this podcast because of them cowardly pulling a controversial episode but the fact the did so little research to begin with is just something I can’t support . #cowards #DoYourResearch

This is a joke. Jenelle has gotten backlash for FAR more than just her huzzbin shooting her dog. What about the child abuse? The legal issues?? The domestic violence??? Don’t take these fools seriously.

Poor taste in guest. Jenelle Evans should never be given a platform to speak on. She’s a terrible person and supports her husband who is even worse. She abuses her children and step daughter. You guys made a horrible decision having her on your show.

Stop giving Jenelle Evans a platform. She doesn’t deserve it. Her husband murdered their family pet and got her fired from mtv. You even did research about her and still gave her a platform. She doesn’t want to be associated with teen mom yet she can’t stop talking about it.

They are very honest with every topic they present. I love following their journey as a young family with 2 littles.

I’ve been following This Family Tree since I was pregnant with my now 2 year old son and I’m so glad I have. They are a real couple that stray away from the fake. Fun fact, I had no idea how to even listen to a pod cast until I started listening to theirs.

I feel like they would be my friends in real life! So relatable, funny, and fun!

Alex and Shane are hilarious, down to earth and just all around A+ people to listen to weekly. I don’t know how these two have not blown up yet because they are charismatic and so relatable. Not only that, but their podcast guests are amazing!!! You’ll learn a lot, laugh a lot, and not regret the time you spend listening to these two.

It is such a relatable, informative and yet fun podcast. All the themes are current and completely relevant for every parent. I love that they use their current struggles as parents to create content and have honest approaches about all of them.

I found this podcast through Mike on Much, and although I don’t have kids, I work with them, and really enjoy the content of this podcast. There is so much helpful information but none of it feels judgmental or preachy. It is the perfect balance of learning & relating. After every episode I am motivated by the new information I’ve learned, rather than discouraged by the feeling that I’m not doing things right, which can be the case with a lot of parenting/childcare media. The subjects truly run the gamut, and for anyone who has kids, works with kids, wants them in the future, etc. this is a great listen!

This podcast is great! Originally I thought it was going to be another couple talking about how great their lives as parents are. As I’ve listened I’ve gained a lot of perspective on parenting and what it’s like to be parents. It’s one of the few times I don’t feel like a couple is shaming us solo mamas and is actually about build stronger/better families.

I love this podcast. Every week I have two or three pods I religiously listen to. You better believe this is my Monday morning listen on the way to work. I enjoy the banter between Shane and Alex. I will literally laugh out loud in my car, like a crazy person, listening to their conversations. In this virtual world, I feel like they are my ‘Canadian friends’ since they are easy to relate to and more importantly, get advice from.

I fell in love with Alex during her inspirepregnancy take over and continued to follow her journey through her thisfamilytree instagram. She's raw, authentic, and addresses not only the new family lifestyle but also speaks up about issues that many of us (women) come across but don't have conversations about. Ie) being dismissed by different workers, skincare routine, self care and self love. Most imporantly she encourages all decisions made my each individual and instead of judging or criticizing, Alex invites conversation so we can all understand one another and be kind. This podcasts resembles all of the above with the added knowledge and experience by her husband, Shane (who is equally as cool AND easy to talk to)! All in all, This Family Tree Podcast has been nothing short of great advice, stories and laughter. Thank you to all who have and continued to call in, and Alex and Shane for giving us this opportunity!

I originally started following along your journey through Alex’s Instagram, I am a first time mother to a 8 month old baby girl & I’ve had many moments where I have felt alone & overwhelmed, or as if I’m doing something wrong so I would go to Alex’s insta & would learn so much & feel so uplifted by what you post. You are absolutely STUNNING, smart, insightful, and very down to earth. I get so excited whenever I see your podcasts, or posts. Listening to your podcasts makes me feel like I’m not alone in many of my feelings/emotions and like to hear that other people have questions & concerns that I have myself. Keep it up you guuuuys!
