What a fantastic group of folks. I learned about them via Super Smash Finder and immediately wanted to hear more. Huge fan of the team dynamic and the easy laughter.

Southern Tomfoolery is one of the best audio dramas you will find. They are funny, engaging, quick witted and genuine. They collectively tell an engrossing and compelling story about a crew of misfit heroes navigating the drift and saving the galaxy, all within the cozy confines of Paizo's Starfinder rule system. Throughout the story you will ride a roller coaster of emotions that only you can only get in this kind of longform storytelling. I would highly recommend the show to anyone, even if they know nothing about tabletop RPGs. The players and GM are fantastic storytellers and fantastic people to boot.

One of the best podcasts to ever bless your ears. These folks deliver a hilarious and engaging story of a crew of misfits hurdling through space and saving the galaxy and beyond, oh and they play a game called Starfinder while doing it. In a matter of minutes STF can make you laugh, cry, rage, and leave you on the edge of your seat hitting refresh on your preferred podcast platform until that sweet, spicy new episode is released. Truly an amazing production from an even more amazing group of people. Check them out, they’d never disappoint you but they will offer you a sweet tea.

I’ve been on the fence about Starfinder’s system as a whole, but listening to STF has turned that narrative COMPLETELY around. The setting is lots of fun, and Adam and his players really bring everything to life in such a unique way! Such an amazing bunch to listen to, and lots of fun to chat with them in the Discord server as well. Awesome people, and awesome podcast :)

Love listening to the STF crew play Starfinder. They have a great group dynamic. I prefer smaller podcasts like this and MNmaxed over the big GCP types.

This is one of my favorite ttrpg podcasts, but the real secret sauce is the amazing community this pod has attracted among its listeners on the Discord channel!

I’m a GCP and A&A hardcore fan. Over 7X binge on all their content but haven’t found a group that could hold my interest until now. It’s the being able to pick up on the individual characters that really holds me. That’s the key. Bunch of dudes talking in a room becomes drably. These guys give the feel. Pretty much what Roll for Combat is lacking. Do a voice and be the character. I really look forward to more! Hey GM, your doing great!🍻

The STF crew make their characters, their ship, and the plot come to life quite well. Sometimes there are rough patches, but the group isn’t discouraged by this, they work through quickly and get a great story rolling. The animosity the team feels for the Azlanti is felt, the bonding of a ships crew is engorged in the character development, and GM has done exceptional to include backgrounds and back story to the telling of Against the Aeon Throne!

When I first jumped into listening to Podcast I was weary of a starfinder actual play. I played starfinder and i didnt really like it. I first started listening to STF, gave it one episode and quit. I Just couldnt get invested because i dont like the system. About a week later, I decided to give them another shot. I fell in love with it. The characters are well made, The story is told by an amazing GM and the small things like the flashback scenes and the Voices Adam does really captured me. It stopped being about the system they were using and more about the story they were telling. With the end of season one coming to an end, I'm so excited to see what happens and continue to support them and their show! ~twistedenigma

I heard about this podcast through some friends, and it did not disappoint! I love Starfinder and don’t often get a chance to play. Listening to these guys play is so much fun. Do yourself a favor and hit play!

This group of friends does an incredible job creating realistic and engaging characters in a vivid world. The players and their PCs are a joy to hear. Whether or not you know and love the Starfinder system, this podcast will have you hooked on the story and rooting for this team.

STF does a great job of telling this buck Rogers style space opera. The cast is fun and obviously have worked together for awhile. Lots of fun to be had listening to this crew.

I love the Starfinder game system and listening to these folks play it so well together is a highlight of my week.

The STF crew are engaging and on point with their character voices, excited flourishes, and great party cohesion. I have quite enjoyed my morning commutes keeping up with this band of merry travelers. Adam does a great job making the world interesting and playing all the various NPC roles necessary to keep the story rolling and the players, and audience, engaged. Definitely worth a listen!

I'm fairly new to TTRPG's, D&D and the like. The folks at Southern Tomfoolery are a warm and inviting group of friends who have welcomed all players, new and experienced, to join them on a hilarious and entertaining journey via this podcast. All the characters are different and nuanced. The subject material and Starfinder system are fresh and fun to listen to as Adam and the Epoch Tracer crew learn more about themselves and this epic quest. This may be the first podcast from the crew at STF, but I'm sure it won't be the last.

Playing through the Against the Aeon Throne adventure path for Starfinder. Like most the actual plays we have listened to and stuck with this one comes with a cast of friends that have great chemistry. We’ve pointed to some character RP options as good fun examples while prepping our own Starfinder games. The one regret from us is not listening to the show sooner.

Recommended by a friend. Excellent listen while sitting in traffic or traveling for work. Only the 2nd playing podcast I’ve listened to. The production is good, players are fun and the GM has some good voice range. Definitely worth downloading and subscribing. Every Sunday is a new adventure.

I am really enjoying this Actual Play edition of "Against the Aeon Throne" for Starfinder. From the very start, the characters are interesting and memorable, the players have lots of fun interacting, and they're making the story very engaging. Kudos! As a player, I really appreciate how committed everyone is to bringing their characters to life, and filling them with more than just cookie-cutter tropes. As a GM, I really appreciate Adam's joy in delivering the story, and how he's just as happy challenging the players as he is celebrating their victories. As a fan of the game, I really dig the intros for each episode - instead of launching into "What's coming up next for our podcast," they take the time to introduce bits of lore from the Starfinder system, describe rules they just love running, and sharing their excitement for the story that's coming up. Definitely worth a listen, and hey, maybe mix up a mint julep and find a comfy rocking chair while you do. They're probably having one, too. :) Cheers!

This podcast has been really great to listen to so far! The audio quality is good from the start and the characters are incredibly interesting and unique. It has been a really good source of inspiration as someone who is going to GM Against the Aeon Throne for a campaign soon. Can’t wait to hear more from them!

Love that this is a show born out of love for TAZ, GCP and Critical Role. I enjoy any actual play that makes me feel like I understand the rules better because the game is more awesome when you have to creatively play with within those constraints.

Nice to finally see some Southern representation in the gaming podcast world! Their accents are as crisp as the quality of the sound and content of the podcast. Exciting to hear passionate folks play a module that gets much less love than it deserves. There's a lot to unravel in this universe, and this is the starship crew I want to hear do it.

A newer live play podcast that’s still early enough not to feel overwhelmed by volume of content. Character work is great and fast paced. Audio quality is also top notch, which is unusual in new podcasts, so a big hat tip to that. If you’re curious about the Starfinder system or someone running something other than DeadSuns (not a insult it just happens to be the first AP and the most popular) then this one is for you. Great stuff.

So glad I found this podcast because I’ve been itching to hear a play through of Against the Aeon Throne. The audio quality is great from the start, which is more than can be said of most actual plays. These guys take RP and stage setting seriously with great character voices and descriptions of scenes. That doesn’t mean there aren’t a lot of laughs both in and out of character though! Highly recommended this pod will definitely be one I’m coming back to week after week!

What a fun cast and crew. They waste no time launching into creating engaging characters to run through Against the Aeon Throne. I am really digging the personal touches that each player is sharing at the top of the episodes - thank you for giving us more background on yourselves and the setting!
